This was around the time she played in "Panic Room" as the daughter of Jodie Foster's character in the movie. U guys don't remember that movie? She was in a few movies around that time where you couldn't tell right off if the character was a girl or a boy. So she doesn't look just like a boy. She looks like she could be either because alot of other people had wondered "is that a girl or a boy". She just has an androgenous appearance and that's more prominant when someone is younger because young kids can look either if they dress a certain way or cut or grow their hair a certain way.
Funny though how back in 97 all the kids at my school thought Taylor Hanson was a girl but you guys compare Kristen to how Hanson looked back then (except for the oldest Hanson "Ike" who was unmistakably a dude) and say she looks like a boy. I really seriously find that amusing. lol.
