I have to disagree. It really isn't as "obvious" as you guys make it out to be.

1) In February 1st (before she supposedly dated Nick), Selena admitted (in one of her Youtube videos with Demi) that she's a boring person because she hasn't done anything exciting yet. Oh and can you please define "old"? Is it really a bad thing to be mature? Cause people grow up in their own pace.

2) The "dating Nick" rumors did give her publicity, but she just because she added high lights to her hair (like every other girl in the world), dressed differently (people change styles all time), and got a new hairstyle (like every other people always do) does prove anything.

its not about never making a mistake, its about not going out and looking for trouble. you can take risks and live your life without being absolutely stupid. people confuse 'living your life' with doing as many stupid things as possible in the name of fun. let the girl live her life. just because she isn't like every other teenager getting wasted and cussing her parents out doesn't mean she isn't normal. god forbid, someone actually takes on the responsibilty of the position she is in. oh but forgive me, by doing that, clearly she is 'fake.' maybe the people around her did have an influence on her. anyone who has never had someone influence their life may continue in insulting her; otherwise do us all a favor and please shut the hell up.

They just decided to take an old picture of Selena and put it on this recent article.

Now I've been a fan of Selena for almost two years and she has always been very mature and conservative. The only thing she "drastically" change about herself is her outfits. People change their fashion styles and add high lights to their hair all the time. It really isn't that uncommon.

Selena is still the same Selena. We're just starting to know more and more about her.

She's constantly complaining about the media and haters.. she seems like she's completely lost sight of how lucky she is to get all the wonderful oppurtunities most people can only dream of getting. I do take pity on her as far as haters go- somewhat- because no one deserves to be hated, especially by complete strangers but regardless on her being hated on or not she is a lot better off than most people. especially in hollywood, she is at the top right now and should enjoy it while it lasts, otherwise she's only going to regret it later.

and what is the source of these interviews she has done lately, that has kept you so up to date? oceanup? that may be the problem. if this site is the only source you have of the interviews selena has done then you can not make such an accusation. oceanup posts what he wants, leaving out things that won't attract attention. clearly a topic like this people are going to comment because they're stupid and care oh so much about proving how "fake" she is. selena has done plenty of interviews and articles that focus on whats going on in her life, what she plans on doing in the future, etc. but you won't find that here because again, this is oceanup. why peoples expectations are so high, i'll never understand.
