They are under the belief that it is better to never make a mistake, never take a risk, always act like a doormat, and only say things designed to appeal to everyone than to live a little bit outside the lines. I have to disagree. It really isn't as "obvious" as you guys make it out to be.
1) In February 1st (before she supposedly dated Nick), Selena admitted (in one of her Youtube videos with Demi) that she's a boring person because she hasn't done anything exciting yet. Oh and can you please define "old"? Is it really a bad thing to be mature? Cause people grow up in their own pace.
2) The "dating Nick" rumors did give her publicity, but she just because she added high lights to her hair (like every other girl in the world), dressed differently (people change styles all time), and got a new hairstyle (like every other people always do) does prove anything.

The "dating Nick" rumors started happening a couple of days after Selena's birthday. When Selena turned 16, she probably want to change her style up a bit, not to mention that she's always been a very mature, conservative young girl. I'm 99% sure Selena said something about that.
Now, you may think Selena changed herself for Nick and that's a possibility. BUT it's also a possibility that she changed herself up a bit because becoming 16 is probably a big deal for her.

Now I've been a fan of Selena for almost two years and she has always been very mature and conservative. The only thing she "drastically" change about herself is her outfits. People change their fashion styles and add high lights to their hair all the time. It really isn't that uncommon.

I mean, based on the interviews Selena has done lately, she just really doesn't seem very happy. She's constantly complaining about the media and haters.. she seems like she's completely lost sight of how lucky she is to get all the wonderful oppurtunities most people can only dream of getting. I do take pity on her as far as haters go- somewhat- because no one deserves to be hated, especially by complete strangers but regardless on her being hated on or not she is a lot better off than most people. especially in hollywood, she is at the top right now and should enjoy it while it lasts, otherwise she's only going to regret it later.
