Raven Symone BODY IMAGE Struggle
Raven-Symoné dished to People about struggling with her body image. However, she revealed that her mom helps her deal: 'She'll call me and say, 'You're very pretty,' I'm like, 'Thanks, Mommy!' and that's my confidence for the day.'
On Thursday Ravey will run a Dove-sponsored self-esteem workshop in Cape May, New Jersey:
'It's going to be so much fun. We want to build their self-esteem and give them tools to face the world the next day without us there.' Raven has experienced criticism for her body which she's called 'thick and fabulous': 'People come up to me and have certain words for me, but you know what I do? I say, 'I'm healthy, I exercise, I believe in myself, and I think I'm beautiful,'
You just have to learn how to transform the pressures into something that doesn't soak into you on a personal level. You see it, you breathe past it, you don't let it sink into your self-esteem. At the end of the day I'll call my best friend and yell and scream and get it out. And the next morning, it's out of my system.'

They need more people that look like her. I mean Miley and Selena are SO tiny. I know they're like that naturally skinny but it's impossible for anyone who doesn't have their bone structure to look like them. Raven's bone structure gives her hips. She also has a very beautiful face. She's so talented and she's been since she was born, just watch her on the Cosby Show. She's not even fat, I don't see where people even get that. She's not a 12 year old little girl. She's older, she's curvy, and you know what? I think she's perfect.
I like raven's shape! She's a normal person. Not everyone is a size 2 & I'm happy Raven embraces that she's curvy. I rather have meat & curves then being skinny & bones.

Good for her, I think she's pretty. Size isnt the only measure of a person's overall health: some people are naturally large or small no matter what they eat or do; and a naturally-larger person who eats right and excercises will always be healthier than a naturally-skinny person who is lazy and eats crap.

Whoever says she's fat's just an isolent fuck. The statement "Beauty lies within" is one of the truest statements I've ever heard in my life. Raven's beautiful. Who cares if she's not a chopstick? She's a great role model. You never hear a single bad word about her. Never. Ever since her show began a few years ago, ended and she went on with the Cheetah Girls and then on with the rest of her career, you never heard a single bad word spoken about her. If people criticize her and think she's fat just because she has an ass like most people in this world do, then they really deserve a slap across the face.
