I am speechless at the thought of ANY NON AFRICAN AMERICAN entertainer having to battle for an award that is for African Americans. The true purpose of the NAACP, was for African American pride, struggle, survival and the right to be an American citizen as white Americans that have the advantages. As an African American no one should win any awards at our function but us!. At Latino awards You are not going to see a non Latino win an award. And why should they. Black folk have changed our need to survive and show cultural pride in our community and to our children. We are the only people in America to allow ALL NATIONS in our community.
Unfortunatley they do not return the favor. No, I do not hold hate for any man, But? black folk live in reality not hollywood. Some things are for ones own culture. The NAACP will change it's name and entire plight to save black children, people, education for our children and develop and demand fair job employment to our people if we're not careful. We still are not treated as equal memebers of AMERICAN SOCIETY!, even when we're on the right track of the american dream. I am not in favor of non blacks winning any award from black award shows. That's bull crap!!!!.

The NAACP fought for the rights of minorities. They are there for us(blacks), hispanics, asians, and others.
