According to LA Times, Los Angeles police plan to detain Chris Brown for questioning in connection with an alleged domestic violence assault against his girlfriend Rihanna. Brown arrived at the Wilshire Division station about 7:15 PM, accompanied by another man.
They drove into a parking lot behind the station on Venice Boulevard, east of La Brea Avenue, in a black Escalade. Brown and the man entered through a back door where a posted sign stated ‘authorized personnel only.’ Police are expected to release a statement later this evening.
UPDATE: Rihanna‘s car spotted at Cedars Sinai Emergency-Room. Video under! LA police have confirmed Brown, 19, is being investigated for felony domestic battery. Sources tell E! News that the alleged victim was Rihanna,
20, and that she had visible bruises on her face.
The incident occurred around 12:30 AM Sunday in Hancock Park. Earlier in the evening Brown and Rihanna attended Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy bash together.
In a statement, police say Brown and his companion ‘became involved in an argument.
After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.’
By the time officers arrived on the scene, Brown had left.
Rihanna decided against performing at the Grammys
NOTE: Chris was officially booked into the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department and charged with one count felony criminal threats. His bail was set at $50,000. Chris has paid his bail and was released.
