Miley Cyrus talked to Popstar! & vented on MileyWorld about negative comments towards her style and the Iron Maiden shirt she loves wearing: 'I finally got so frustrated and it's so stupid because the reason was Iron Maiden. They were like, 'Miley doesn't even like Iron Maiden. She's a poser, she's wearing that shirt.' And I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?
You don't even know what bands I like, you don't know the music I listen to.' I went on Miley World and posted some songs I like.. Most of my fans are 8-12 and a bunch of 18 year olds are saying I don't like Iron Maiden.
I don't go off singing Iron Maiden songs to kids who don't know who Iron
Maiden is. That wouldn't make sense I don't claim to be a rock artist. But that was the thing that really frustrated me. On mean comments: 'With my ripped tights, everyone was saying stuff about that. Finally I was like, 'I don't care.
I like it.' And the more people say negative thing it, one, only hurts my feelings. It doesn't make me change. And two, it kind of only makes me want to do it more, wear ripped leggings and wear the Iron Maiden shirt more because I'm like, 'You don't know what I like and what my style is.'

The exact same way I feel when my friends make comments about myself. It's like they got me all figured out, but they don't even know the half of me ... Just by looking at me, they don't know the type of music I listen, what I like, what I dislike. They think they know me, but they really don't. I'm incredibly shy and people think they got me all figured out, but no ... It gets annoying, especially when my FRIENDS make the comments -_-

oh man i feel the exact same way. that's why i kinda dress low key and bland.. because i'm so shy and if i wear a band shirt or something everyone will be like "WHATT? since when do you like them?! POSER!" they don't know me. even my friends are bitches about shit like that. ughh it sucks. but hey. that's high school. /: i love how confident and carefree miley is. she really doesn't care what people say. i'm trying to be more like that but.. it's hard. Exactly. I'm even afraid of wearing freakin' skinny jeans for crying out loud. My friend's going to be all, "Since when do YOU wear skinny jeans?" I've always liked them even before they were THAT big, and been always afraid of wearing them ... but then the trend started and I don't like following trends ... so I never started wearing them, sadly ... I can't even wear a Band tee either because my friends wiill question me, especially this ONE friend. I tell her the Jonas Brothers are my favorite and that I watch Disney, and then she judges me. I listen to a variety of different music genres that she doesn't even KNOW, far from the Jonas Brothers genre ... I knew about Rocket to the Moon before they were that big :-/ as goes for The Maine when they had few Myspace friends. She thinks I listen to Hannah Montana 24/7 when I barely listen to her at all. Just because I watch Disney I'm automatically categorized and judged. Everytime I mention the Jonas Brothers, she just completely goes: "Ugh, of course!" and gives me this look. When I mention them once, I'm judged. She annoys the crap out of me! D:< I can't be myself and I'm trapped being this person I've always been known as. Whatever though, I'm used to it ...

well she kinda was wrong about one thing...most of her fans are older than that... her fans range from ages 6-16 probably! even some adults love her. and also...GO MILEY!! im totally on ur side with all this. no one knows what u like, and who cares? its ur opinion...i mean y r people making such a big deal about it? its just stupid. but a good thing is its getting u a lot of attention...well...that could be good and bad...watever...im on ur side! go miley!!
