Hundreds of Miley Cyrus fans are outraged after Ticketmaster overcharged for seats at upcoming New York concerts, according to NYDN: Ticketmaster.com posted an incorrect seating chart for Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum, where Miley will play her only New York shows..
..on November 18 & 19, when tickets went on sale Monday. In addition to ticket costs, members of the singer’s fan club paid $30 for a password and a 12-hour head start at 10am local time to get the best seats.
The correct chart was posted over three hours later, after hundreds of tickets had already been sold, many of them overvalued due to the discrepancy.
Tickets to Miley’s concerts at the Coliseum in 2007 hit a snag when presale tickets instantly sold out. Scalped tickets went for as high as $1,500.
Nassau Coliseum spokesperson said, ‘an apology is in order’ for overcharged fans..
..but has asked those who purchased seats to consider the star’s high-demand: ‘Everybody who got floor tickets to Miley Cyrus is pretty lucky at this point.‘
Ticketmaster spokeswoman Hannah Kampf did not return requests for a comment about the glitch.
