Her best performances unfortunately happen in smaller venues. She and Taylor both seem to have a problem being consistant at award shows. They can sing(though Taylor is extremely weak), but they're inconsistant.

I don't know what it is with Taylor, but she's so shaky when she sings live. I saw a youtube video of her singing Picture to burn, and she vocalized a piece in the begginning amazing, I mean, I got chills, but once she started singing the actual song she lost it. The only way I can describe it is "soulful" like she was singing an R&B song or something, it was very "aretha franklin"-ish

The professionals people in the business and critcs generally agree that Miley has natural talent and is good at her craft. They all see increasing potential in her. If they didn't she wouldn't be getting offers like theses. every star out there has haters so the industry doesn't pay atention to them. They look at the person and their ability to sell and draw fans.
Disney has made a lot of stars, but none have had the pulling power of Miley and the fact she can still bring in the bucks no matter what she does, prove that she has talent and popularity beyond that of not just most stars her age, but amoung all stars. According to Disney she has made them over 3 billion dollars in the last 3 years, and that is nothing to sneeze at.

Taylor's best live performance was the Grammys, hands down. She was completely relaxed and her voice rarely shook. The song was too high for Miley because Taylor's voice sits higher on the register. Miley's voice is really low and in some parts of Fifteen she was really struggling. But she was really good in the verses. I think Miley and Taylor bring out the best in each other performance wise. Too bad things seemed to have cooled.

This is the biggest joke ever. All they want is ratings and money it sucks that VH1 can't just stick with actually caring about upholding the tradition of Divas Live with the Celine, Arethas, Shanias etc....None of the artists they chose this year have had LONG succesful carreers yet. They are too new. A Diva is respected worldwide. Miley hasn't even had a number one song on Billboard she's all hype and the other women are not Divas yet.

Hannah Montana pretty much became a billion dollar enterprise the day it premiered and has since continued to grow. I believe that if it was any other girl playing Hannah, it would not have been as successful as it is today, because Miley portrays the character with her own personality and with her voice. Disney obviously agrees, considering they saw more than 15,000 girls audition tapes, and actually saw about 1,000 of them in person.
