The same way Taylor has different glittery dresses for her concerts, and the Jonas Brothers have the same shirts and jeans for their shows.
Demi wears black skinny jeans with boots, a yellow/lime tshirt and a white vest for her performance, and then she changes for the encore to that black short dress, or a pink dress (these are the same dress in different colors)

Well from my own experience, it feels way better when guys say you don't need to lose any weight than when girls say it.
Why?
Because in the end, we all know that everything we do is to impress guys (well except if you're lesbian, that's a different story).
