Here's my theory. I'm 20 and I was around when Pop bands like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys dominated the airwaves...I thought they were going to take over the world. I'm not going to lie...I LOVED them. They were on every merchandise imaginable...t-shirts, pencils, etc. Then as the hype slowly faded, they slowly disappeared. Same thing with Miley Cyrus. Her fame is built off all the hype. Her scandalous outfits, photos, and private life like Niley...not pure talent. Sure, she has some great songs like "The Climb" but so did Nsync with "Music of my hear (feat. Gloria Estafan)". This type of fame doesn't last. If you strip away all the hype, Miley Cyrus is just another mediocre creation of mainstream popular culture. Christina Aguilera and Beyonce are still around and respected because they can sing. I have a feeling the JoBros and Miley will fade in a couple of years. On the other hand, I have high hopes for Demi Lovato, she has great potential to be the next generation of Christina Aguilera because girl can sing.
