It amazing to me that female Figure skaters at the Olympics and such, wear far less with their costumes, which in many cases are far sexier, yet no one seems to complain. They don't were them because they have to. They can were the same basic outfits that the men wear and still be able to perform. Many of these girls aren't even teenagers yet. They dress the way they do because figure skating is as much about entertainment as it's about athletics. They dress the way they do because it's part of their routine and it's what the public and Judges want to see.
Same goes for singers, actors and other entertainers. They dress in costume, for their acts. Yet people seem to complain about how the younger ones dress. They say, they shouldn't dress that way because they are role model. So are Figure skaters, so why not complain about them. No one does. It's a double standard.
As far as Miley goes, I have yet to see any nipple, pubic area, or butt crack. I have not seen any pictures with her wearing see through clothing wear she wasn't wearing underwear. I have not seen her with any less on than you would see on a girl wearing a bikini. The only real difference between a bra and panty set and a bikini is what you choose to call them. Now a days, it's almost impossible to tell the difference, even from a short distance. In fact many manufacturers make bikinis that double as underwear, and underwear that can double as a bikini or beachwear, or even outerwear.
The outfit she is wear for this movie is what the role called for her to wear. It isn't her choice. She isn't the star of the movie, but in the scene she is requied to dress like the star so that is why she is dress the way she is. She will be 17 in a little over a month, and can go see "R" rated movies if she desires to do so.
Maybe she is loosing some of her younger fans, maybe not. But she is definitaly gaining older fans like me, and studys show that older fans are far more loyal for a longer period of time.
