Jennifer Stone HARRIET THE SPY Star
Wizards of Waverly Place beauty Jennifer Stone landed the lead role in the live-action TV movie 'Harriet the Spy' for co-producers Disney Channel and 9 Story Entertainment, according to THR. Stone will play the high school student Harriet Welsch in a TV project based on the classic kids book series by Louise Fitzhugh, and to shoot in Hamilton, Ontario, to Dec. 4.
It will debut in 2010 on Disney Channels worldwide and on the CBC and YTV in Canada. The script involves young Harriet determined to be her high school's class blogger as she clashes with her nemesis, popular student Marion Hawthorne. RIP Michelle Trachtenberg.

I loved the original of this but if they have to make another one, Jennifer Stone seems perfect for it.

Hey, speaking about lack of creativity, do any of you know about an old cartoon show called "Jem & the Holograms?" Hannah Montana is eerily similar to it! But Jem was more fun.

But there are certain movies which I thought were better than the original - like "King Kong (2005)....but thats the only remake I can think of right now which was actually good.

No!THIS IS ALREADY A MOVIE! I've got nothing against this girl, but im so sick of people remaking everything. Especially since the last good Disney movie came out in like 2003. I loved this movie as a kid and the original was great! Disney is going to anilate it.

Michelle Tractenberg (the original Harriet), is still alive and on Gossip Girl.
I am not happy. The original (which was a Big Screen movie) with Michelle and Rosie O Donnell was good. Disney needs to stop copying Nickelodeon. They've been doing it for years and it needs to stop. Nickelodeon FTW!
