Miley Cyrus HARTFORD ROCKSTAR

miley-cyrus-hartford-rockstar-377

Pictures from Samantha, Sarah, Brittany & Olivia: I went to the Miley Cyrus concert on 11/12 in Hartford, CT and the show was amazing! The audience was mostly little kids but it didn’t bother me at all. Metro Station was very good and I didn’t even like them that much before last night. Trace talked about how he is Miley’s brother and that his mom was getting tattooed back stage!

At one point he ripped his shirt off and something about how he was told not to take his shirt off because it would scare people. He then went into some weird speech about how it shouldn’t scare people and that he should be able to take his shirt of because music brings people together ..it was kind of weird.

I expected Miley to be dancing really provocatively, but it wasn’t that bad. She did dance weird at times but it wasn’t a big deal and she was just having fun with all her dancers. Even though she sounded really good I feel like she wasn’t that connected with the audience and she barely ever talked to the audience. It was great though!
Also random pix from Get Ur Good On.

Giiiirl, bye! I don’t wear that kind of shit to school! Hello, dress code?!

The show was an hour long and she only sang three of her older songs which is want all the little girls there wanted to hear. It felt like she was just going through the motions and trying to get out of there as quickly as possible. Cyrus is trying to grow up musically but the age range of her audience isn’t there yet. Very strange going to a concert where 85% of the audience is under 11yr old and Miley is head banging through most of her new songs. Even her choice for an opening band, Metro Station, was awkward. I know that’s her brother but seriously very disappointed. Overall, the concert was not worth the time let alone the money. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the Jonas Bros. concert a lot more and I wasn’t orginally a fan of theirs until then.

It’s probably her hateful stans who would hate on anyone that’s not Miley that’s turning you off. IMO, they do her no favors by saying she’s better than Selena, Demi, or any other young girl or by calling the other girls derogatory names. It just makes them look pathetic and just make some Miley haters hate her even more. Her stans just turn people off of her. They have made me want to be a hater in the past. Anyway, it’s probably her stans that turn you off from her.

Anyway, Miley looks like she’s definitely having fun. She’s very pretty.

Wow, maybe these parents should go spend time with their children instead of bitching about a 16 year old online. They don’t sound like they are any better than Miley.

    ———————–
Note to parent: read the ticket of the show you’re attending. No where on the ticket did it say “Hannah Montana”. Most of us with half a brain KNEW it was Miley Cyrus, not HM. Dumbass parents. Seriously.
    __________

thank you! these reviews are only making me aware of how unintelligent parents are today.

if you’re taking your child to a show, do some research. miley said several times that this wasn’t going to be like hannah montana, she gave the parents enough warning.

and jersey you’re exactly right..no where on the ticket did it say hannah montana.

I’ve watched a few of her shows on Youtube. Amazing. This girl really does know how to rock it. But the bad part is that people bring their 6-year-old daughters along, and Miley dresses and dances in a way 6-year-old’s shouldn’t see. And I don’t blame them because Miley’s career started at a place for kids and it’ll take forever for them to finally let go. Other than that – Amazing! :)

  • jerseygirl

Oh my God. This post is completely pissing me off. It’s a reminder as to why I never like to come into Miley posts. There are truly some fucked up individuals out there who seem to dedicate themselves to hating on the girl.

I had a blast at her show and she was amazing. I’m out. I think I need to go meditate somewhere.

my favorite moment was when it was over and my daughter told me that she liked party in the usa but now she was embarrassed to admit it. awful concert.

Emily- Don’t get pissed girl, us sane ones KNOW Miley is amazing and that this is not the case.

Lol, if people are going to insult Miley, they can atleast make an attepmt to be clever or original. I am not reading anything I haven’t read before and I still love her. So to the lame person who actually took the time to look for concert reviews and post them on OU, sorry, it’s not working. Nice try though.

I was extremely disappointed in the Miley Cyrus concert!! She did some very innappropriate and racy dance moves and was very Brittany Spears like. She did not engage with the audience AT ALL!! My child enjoyed it, but it was not at all worth the money I spent. I think if she wants to transition out of her “good girl” image, she needs to be done with the Hannah Montana show and the Disney Channel and move on. The majority of the children in the audience was 12 and under and as a parent, I was appalled at the outfits worn by Miley and the dancers and was not impressed by the dancing as well. She also did not sound good at all in a few of her songs. It was like she was going through with the moves and singing, but was not enjoying herself. VERY DiSAPPOINTING!!

How can you be disappointed in a show? God. I mean, even if it’s kind of dull, MAKE IT FUN! People were probably complaining because they were sitting down. I never sat down, never stopped singing, and it was one of my favorite concerts EVER.

Miley Cyrus seems to have outgrown more than her old costumes, she has left her dignity behind as well.
Clumsy, awkward, and lurid are the words that come to mind as I recall her performance.

My 19 year old daughter took my 8 year old daughter for her birthday. The oldest said that Miley was doing “the Brittney Spears” thing and said she would not have taken her had she known how provocative it was going to be. She said my youngest was fairly bored the whole time.
My youngest said that the concert was OK, but was not overly excited like she is with most things. The anticipation was very high and I believe it did not live up to her standards. She said that she didn’t get to hear any “Hannah” songs.

  • Anonymous

The paperless tickets were a pain! My oldest daughter was taking my 9 year old and I had to park and bring them into the building – What a pain!!! Also, Miley should dress to her audiance group – most of the kids attending were 10 and younger – what kids of role model is the “DISNEY” singer?? TIme for Miley to move on!!

  • Anonymous

This concert was way too old for the true fans of Miley Cyrus. The wardrobe and songs were not what the girls that have loved Hannah Montana/Miley were there to hear. The hair tossing and head banging was way tooo much.
The opening act, Metro Station, was too loud and sounded like an alternative band that the girls did not even understand or enjoy. My daughter asked why she had to listen to him. His comment about “if you don’t want to move and have fun, get out, go to your car” was extremely rude and uncalled for. Also uncalled for was the taking off the shirt for children.

    Prudential Center – Newark,NJ – Sat, Nov 7, 2009Posted 11/10/2009 by abbysmom2004 This Fan’s Reviews
It was non-stop. Well done and entertaining. My daughter was 5 and it was age appropriate. The seating was done well and my seats were good for the price. I was impressed with the extent of the pyro and the acro that she did. There was no down time and I feel that she made a great connection with her fans. I was pleased.
Favorite moment: The entire show was great. The entire Prudential center was rocking to Party in the USA.
Setlist: Party in the USA, Fly on the Wall, Bottom of the Ocean, I Run to You, GNO, Breakout, The Climb, See You Again, Kicking and Screaming, When I Look At You, Hoedown Throwdown, Time of Our Lives, Talk is Cheap, 7 Things, These Four Walls (Acoustic), I Love Rock and Roll, Simple Song, Full Circle
Opening act(s): Was her bro, Metro Station. Pretty good. Not necessarily appropriate for my 5 year old, but she didn’t know the difference and she loved “Shake Shake”

whassup with all the negative reviews? i don’t remember demi’s concerts ever having all these bad reviews.

We were very disappointed with the show. I think I feel the way alot of concert goers felt….. this was not the Miley we were expecting to see. Not approiate for young girls. The opening act was something you would see at a concert for the 17-20’s crowd. Not at all the music we came to hear…very unlike the music Miley has put out in the past. This was a PG-13 type concert ….. not the G rating from the past. If I had known she was going to present herself in this way we never would have went. Sorry to say she will lose alot of her younger fan base and they are what got her to where she is today. Very Sad.

My 9 yr old daughter was so excited for this concert. She loves Miley’s music. She understands that Miley is an older, edgier performer than Hannah Montana. After 2 songs, she told me she wanted to leave. We stayed for a couple more songs just to see if it might improve, but it didn’t and we walked out. What a disappointment. It was only about volume and non-stop moving. It wasn’t about music or performance. Her songs were barely recognizable from the studio versions. My daughter kept asking why Miley is shouting instead of singing. She sounded awful. The “dance” moves were pathetic. My daughter kept asking “what are they doing?” It wasn’t entertainment. From my perspective as a parent, Miley has a little talent as a singer/performer(not arena-sized talent), and has decided to sell her body image instead of what talent she has or could develop. She should work on her craft (not her outfits, or lack thereof), and build her career based on the talent she is supposedly selling–singing and performing.

I was extremely disappointed with the show. I took my 9 year old daughter for a birthday present and was upset that it seemed to be a show for a much older crowd. The show should have been promoted “Miley~all grown up!” . I almost feel like insisting on a refund as it was THAT inappropriate for young children, which was most of the audience. Her clothes and some dancing was very inappropriate for little people to see. And was it really necessary for her older brother who opened up for her to remove his shirt?? There were children as young as 3 years old sitting around us!!! If I was rating this for a grown-up concert, she would have gotten a solid four stars, but I can only give her one. Her movie that came out this spring was great and I guess that is the Miley that we expected to see.

Wow! What a disappointment. The behavior of the dancers, Miley’s brother, the screaming of the songs vs singing of the songs and Miley in general – what a disappointment. They should have rated this concert at a minimum PG13 – but probably R so we would not have bothered buying tickets.
This was not performance that 90% of the crowd (ages 3-12) needed to witness. Grabbing of her private parts, her chest falling out of her shirt a majority of the night and all she did was scream. She used ot have a really nice voice….what happened to it?
Completely uncalled for – Miley’s brother Trace taking his shirt off to go on his rampage about tatoo’s. This was so inappropriate.
What a waste of money. Really saddened by the entire evening. What a major let down for my daughters.

Didn’t have any sparks. My 6 year old who loves Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus seemed unimpressed. She seemed a bit racey for the average age of the audience. She didn’t cater or speak to the audience much during her show. Metro Station was the opening act and I think they were more impressive

Kevin Jonas interview with DJ Boy Thunder in Singapore on November 11. He talks about the new album, the wedding (he says he and Danielle did most of the preparations together), the plans for children, and more. The boys are already planning their second World Tour!

The boys are sure splitting up the interview duties lately! Also, apparently at the boys concert in Rotterdam today, November 13, an overzealous fan tossed her bra on stage and Kevin caught it! Hahah I love it.

Would you ever throw an article of clothing at the boys?

I was very dissatisfied with the concert. I brought my 10year old daughter because she loves Miley. Mileys brother was very inappropriate for the age group that Miley attracts. I did not realize that I was bringing my daughter to a hard rock concert and when her brother took off his shirt I was floored. I felt that was very inappropriate behavior. Every one of his songs either represented drugs or sex. I dont think I will allow my daughter to go back to another one of her concerts.

    Last years concert was better.

    shes no more hanna idiot.
    cry me a river.

I encountered hundred of very young girls dressed like Hannah Montana. They (and their parents) were the majority of the audience. I understand that Miley wants to move on to a more adult sound and audience but that wasn’t her audience. My child and her friends (and the rest of the little people I knew) were heartbroken. I am sorry there could not have been a greater blend of Miley and Hannah, It would made the concert much more enjoyable for the majority of the audience. Blended concerts would give the Hannah fans a chance to age and to accept the change.

  • Anonymous

Wow, I am so shocked. Not at all what I expected to see. I realize Miley is growing up but I see a transformation that I do not care for, reminds me of Britney Spears. Would not pay $1 to ever take my young daughter to her concert again. What a shame.

  • Anonymous

This show is not appropriate for younger children! I feel very guilty that I exposed my 8 year old and her friend to this event! Miley is totally different than Hannah. The outfits were very revealing and not the image I want my child to see, nor was the dance moves! I really felt like I was at a Victoria Secret Angel Runway show with heavy metal music playing. As my friend said she’d been to AC/DC concerts that were not this bad. At one point I almost got up and left. My children only knew about of the 4 songs that she sung. This is not the same child that is portrayed in her movies! Needless to say we will not patronize anything Miley after seeing this show! On a postive note she does have a beautiful voice, but she has outgrown her audience/fans.

  • Anonymous

I took my 4 year old daughter to see this concert, because she idolizes Miley and Hannah M. She had looked forward to this for months, as I did. The opening act was Miley’s brother who was covered in tattoos and took his shirt off. Then Miley came out dressed provocatively and acting provocatively. I think she has forgotten the age group that has made her the superstar that she is. I understand that she is growing up and wants to be more mature, but there has to be a slow progression, because these kids only see her as what she has been portrayed in the past. I think me and my child will stick to Taylor Swift. She sets a better example.

  • Anonymous

I spent way to much money on those tickets and it was a disgusting display for adolescent and preteen girls to see.

DMP- Yep, its gangsta alright :P Yeah I love Full House still!

YBWM- They should date, even though she’s with Taylor Lautner. She has a type I think, the dark handsome ones (don’t think Taylor thats handsome though, he’s attractive). But yeah those two would be cute (Cory and Taylor).
And yesss, some girls are dumb. They’d rather show off their bodies then have comfort! And yes Timmys is amazing. I love the sandwiches and soups!

  • Anonymous

Maybe we’re just to used to seeing her as Hannah, but it seems like pop music works better for Miley than rock. My daughter was excited to see Miley, but asked to leave after the first 1/2 hour because she didn’t like the music.

  • Anonymous

I don’t know if it was Miley or The Verizon Center but the music was horrible. It was so loud that you couldn’t understand a word she sang. Someone should have rated this event PG-13, it wasn’t her clothes but her dancing – looks like she’s taken a lot of stripper dancing lessons. She should have realized that most of her fans are young girls under the age of 10… Also, for their sakes, she should have sang some of her Hannah songs and given the little ones something to sing along with.. Very disappointing show, won’t go see her again. Will wait for Taylor Swift to come back around.

  • Anonymous

I was hugely dissappointed with the Miley Cyrus show. I am a big fan of her music but thought that the dancing, attire, and political comments from her brother were all horrifying. I would not see her in concert again.

Ok, Jersery Girl you went to the concert. Do you honestly think it’s actually going to corrup young kids? Lol…

  • Anonymous

My young daughters were very excited to go to the concert – they love Hannah Montana as I do, but this was definitely not a concert for young girls. We left after the first three songs and costume changes – all were inappropriate for a 16 year old girl and even my girls agreed and left willingly. Even worse was the opening act who took his shirt off on stage in front of thousands of young girls after announcing that he had been told not to take his shirt off and decided to do it anyway. Very, very disappointing and a complete waste of $400.

My wife and I took our Daughter which was her first Miley Cyrus concert. She loved it and had a great time. I as a parent was very pleased how Miley performed and interacted with the fans.
Favorite moment: We enjoyed when Miley went up on a Motorcycle above the crowd.
Opening act(s): Metro Station was really good.

  • Anonymous

As the performance was fast paced and lively, Miley Cyrus has changed big time from her last tour, “Best of Both Worlds”. And there lies the problem, she can’t have it both ways. As she ages (soon to be seventeen), she can no longer cater to the seven to twelve year old audience. In her new tour she reveals far too much for a young lady not yet seventeen. And as a “role model” to so many young kids that want to be just like her, she is being mis-guided towards a “crash and burn” dead-end life. Her handlers have her performing far beyond her maturity. Even our eleven year old questioned this concert. Her music is great, songs meaningful; it’s just she’s sixteen and being advised to perform like she is twenty-six, while her audience is still pre-teen. Do the math! We parents and grandparents are not going to expose our kids to idol such misplaced judgment, so Miley Cyrus can implode like Brittany Spears, the Lohan sisters, etc. It would seem all of the Disney kids are being sold a bill of goods that places them on a high level only to fall flat on their faces. All of that fame and money, only to crash and burn. For Miley, it’s just a matter of time.

  • Anonymous

I fealt VERY misled by this concert. The concert was titled “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worls”…where was the other world. Where was Hannah Montana? I brought my 5 1/2 year old twins, who idolize Miley/Hannah Montana, to see her concert. They were so excited!! What a let down.
One daughter was more interested in eating her left-over pizza. Pretty sad.
Miley played to a much more mature audience than was present at the concert. I did not approved of the adult, pole-like dancing. Look who was in the audience….PLEASE. The majority was elementary to midlle-school aged girls with their moms. Not teenage boys and their dads!.
After such an experience, I refused to buy ANY sort of Miley anything to support this type of misleading advertisement.
The price of the tickets were rediculous. But, I spent this for my girls to have a great experience for their first concert. How disappointing. Too bad refunds aren’t available. I’d be first in line.

It was overpriced . Too loud and Miley was lip syncing. For at least 80.00 per ticket it should have been unforgettable.

She looked, dressed, and sounded like a troll. The parents made fun of her and the kids just sat there, motionless. Terrible experience.

Miley Cyrus has grown out of her fans .This show was way over the heads of the younger crowd. Her vocals were awful. She can not sing. Her new image is too racey for the younger crowd not a good show.
We won’t be back.My 8 year old grand daughter who has seen her before thought she was bad and was very disappointed

  • Anonymous

She dresses way too old for her age and the kids she was performing for!! She also danced a little to sexy, smacking her butt and rocking her pelvic is not how i wanted my 7 year old to see her!!! We paid way too much money for this and the show was way toooooo short! She only sang for an hr and 15 min including her breaks!!!

    Dear Miley:
Did you miss the memo informing you that the average age at last night’s concert was eight? Please warn parents next time you wear short-shorts, grind, and dirty dance. Also, the spread-eagle in the camera was a bit much. Close your legs Miley or you’ll wind up like every other teen star!

    ———————-

Did YOU miss the memo that these shows are not supposed to even be aimed at kids that young? Miley warned you enough. She said that these shows are going to be nothing like the Hannah Montana shows. She’s being herself now. Unless you want your kids to be looking up at somebody that’s pretending to be SOMEBODY else.. Fine, go ahead. Just because Miley has a show at Disney, is “Hannah Montana” and has younger fans, doesn’t mean she can’t be Miley Cyrus. The majority of her fans are teenagers, just like her. Nobody told you to take your kid to the show after Miley warned parents it would be very different. That was your decision. So why are you blaming her all of the sudden, for a stupid mistake you did? Grow up. Miley’s doing fine without the 8-year-old fans, who believe it or not, know MUCH more than you’d expect. So if your 8-year-old starts pole dancing, dressing inappropriately, and dirty dancing – don’t blame anybody but yourself.

i was extremely disappointed in the Miley Cyrus show. She barely did any Hannah songs & only sang “Hoe Down” for approx. 30 seconds! She needs to realize her audience consists of mainly 5-12 yr olds not older teens. This was the 1st concert for 12 girls in our group who have been excited for months to see Miley & hear the songs they know. Instead they watched & listened in disappointment as the adults were shocked at the barely dressed singer. She really needs to reconsider her performances, remember her younger fans and that she is supposed to be a Christian.

Well, I guess I cannot recommend this concert for children under 14, maybe 16. There were so many young children, parents, & grandchildren…& I’m sure they were expecting more of Hannah Montanna atmosphere. I’m sure Miley wants to grow up, but it should be made more clear of what this concert has to offer. I did not want my grandaughter seeing her hunch around while dancing…too many lude dance steps for young children to see. I’m not an old foggy, I love music & dance, & grew up with KISS, but as I said before, it should be made clear that this show is not for young kids. Listening to her songs on radio, or cd’s is a whole lot better than watching her go wild with her body in senous ways on stage. She is a good singer, but I think she would make a lot more money & keep her status of H.M. & let these little kids have an icon. The title of concert at top of this page was not BEST of BOTH Worlds. That concert was a whole lot better!!!

Miley needs to undertand the reality that her current audience is 5-9 year old girls and her clothes and behavior are not representative of what parents want demonstrated to their little girls. It was dissapointing to the little girls because they knew few songs and to the parents because it was not the fun, engaging evening they paid significant money to spend with their kids.

loved this show. Miley performed for 1.5 hours, full of energy, great dancing, loud, rocking fun! Great production, nice staging & sets, fun costumes and effects. Fun night-

Very inappropriate for younger children. Clothes were slutty and dance moves were very sexually inappropriate. She is supposed to be the “Tween Queen” but with her attire and pole dancing, she has truly lost that title. Her writhing around on the stage floor was incomprehensive for a young lady that has children 4 years to 17 years as fans. I am sure she has lost some fans after her X-rated performance. It was very unbelievable that a 17 year old role model would be gyrating on the stage floor and getting on a male dancer’s back and rubbing her bare legs up and down his torso. Where was her father? Some people just got up and walked out. I know for a fact that she has lost at least 4 fans.

I took my 7-year-old daughter to this concert for the first time for her birthday.
At the beginning, there was a band that we didn’t know played for 30 min.
    Then, 30 min break.
Even though Miley showed up, she was in and out , in and out so quick.
I expected more of herself on the stage.
We were there to see her more than dancers or movie promotion!!
Therefore, my daughter started getting very bored, and we left early.

I took my 3 grandchildren to the concert ages 13 (male), 11 (female) and 8 (female). The opening act was inappropriate. I am open-minded but some of the lyrics were inappropriate for this age children. When the young man stated that he was told to NOT take off his shirt, but then said he was going to that this sent the wrong message to this age children. Overall the Miley Cyrus concert was fun but still too adult for the 8 year old. In my opinion this concert was not for children under the age of 12. Ms. Cyrus is a beautiful young lady with great talent. I think her promoters need to look at the age group that she was singing to.

I took my girls and my mother in law just for an extra hand. We were SO disappointed! The opening act-her older brother-was inappropriate for the age group of the crowd. Miley should have put a disclaimer of her show-for ages 13 and over! I saw many people leaving during her show! Her last concert tour we went to was AMAZING! The whole crowd was dancing to every song. Last night-maybe 25% of the crowd was standing and dancing the whole time! Bottom line-my girls said they had fun, but are very disappointed in her show!

Miley is growing up and this is true. But her costume choices were in poor taste. Even my 11 year old daughter felt that Miley needed to put some more clothes on. Stage changes were timely and the music was OK.

WOW CAN MILEY GET ANY PRETTIER??

I understand that Miley is trying to get out of the “Disney” part of her life. BUT 60% of fans were children under 10. And Disney is still a show that is on, that my girls watch everyday! Her show was more geared for older teenagers/Adults
I was also disapointed that she was only on stage for 1hr 20 min. I paid almost $400 for my girls to see her for 1 hour 20 min.

  • Anonymous

This concert was a huge disappointment. First band was awful. I took my girls out during this part due to the display of punk rock. Then Miley only performed for 1hour and 20 minutes, a great deal of that taken up with promoing her movie and dance solos by her dancers. I also didn’t appreciate the outfits she wore or the “pole” dancing with ropes. I realize she’s trying to make the transition from Hannah to Miley, but more music the girls knew would have been appreciated. Way too much money for very little entertainment! I’ll take Taylor Swift any day over Miley.

  • Anonymous

Make shift stripper poles left everyone in my section stunned. All moms had there jaws dropped open and the girls looked confused. All songs had a very sexual connotation where they didn’t before, it was just sad. My daughter cried and cried at bedtime. She just couldn’t believe Miley would dress and act like that. Those were her words. My girls saved their money to see someone they so looked up to (Thats alot of money for little girls). In my opinion her marketing team preyed on an already established fan base to make the change to grown up Miley. It makes me feel sad for Miley. She became famous singing about wholesome things and being modest. I believe because of her talent alone she could continue that climb without the smut…

    terrible show.
    i have no other words.
    AWFUL.

Our only comparison is to the Taylor Swift concert that was at the BJC in August. Miley’s show was not even in the same league as Swift, who put on an incredible show. Miley’s opening band was terrible (her brother’s band). Her brother looked intoxicated later when he came out to sing with her. She never mentioned being at Penn State. She never engaged her audience. Stage scenes were mediocre with hardly any props or scenes except for large video screens. The audience seemed shocked when the show ended before 9:30. Her costumes were awful with most of them having her rear end hanging out, which is incredibly innappropriate with the majority of her fans of a young age. In short, we were very disappointed. We won’t make any effort to see her live again.

When I purchased tickets in June to take my 7 year old daughter to Miley Cyrus in October, I could barely keep my lips sealed, because I knew she would be excited beyond belief! Two weeks before, when she suddenly came down with a MRSA infection that is often times fatal, the only way I could get her to take her medicine was to tell her we had plans for a Mom and Me night that included tickets to Miley, and she needed to get better so she could go.
Well, unfortunately, both of us were extremely disappointed. Metro Station opened for her concert, and her brother is the lead singer for the band. Not only did he come out covered in tattoos my daughter described as “gross”, he told the girls in the crowd to listen to the next song, because it was important to him. Then, he sang lyrics like, “Lay down . . . Take off your clothes . . . I just want to touch you”!!! I was immediately infuriated! As I contemplated making my daughter leave the rest of his performance, Miley finally took the stage.
She looked beautiful, performed well, and sounded great . . . with the exception of the many variations of ‘daisy duke’ style shorts and low cut tank tops she wore throughout. She did the rocker hair flip all night and even ended the performance by being strapped to a Harley flying above the crowd. The stage presence and talent this girl has was phenominal, and she really worked the stage. I’m sure the kids loved when she was raised in the sky on a chair that made her shirt look 50 feet long!
However, the content was WAY TOO mature for her listening audience (about ages 6-12). The skimpy outfits, sexy moves, and over all concert seemed geared to adults. Most people I’ve discussed the concert with said they thought they would see a lot of how Hannah acts – fully clothed and respectable. If she and her parents think it is okay to perform like that, they should definately worn the parents of future concerts that the Miley Cyrus concerts are VERY different than the Hannah Montana concerts and are meants for more mature audiences.

If your child is hanging on to the Miley of Hannah Montana, this is NOT the show to go to. But, if your little girl actually likes the new direction Miley is taking her music, it is an OK show. I am a hard rock fan, but I don’t like MIley’s version of rock. She doesn’t have the talent to pull off edgy music. The guitar chords are all the same for each of her songs, the bass stayed the same, and the drum beats were identical the entire show. My 8 year old wanted to go because she is a Hannah Montana fan, but after seeing the show she says she doen’t like her any more. I understand how Miley wants to grow up, but this was just too much.

  • Anonymous

Miley was amazing! She is a positive role model for girls and young women. Miley is a creative and generous performer. In the radio interview before this show (KISS 106.1) she mentioned her fear of pyrotechnics and that there would be lots of fireworks in the show. She modeled that everyone has fears, everyone can face their fears, and over come them. I took my kids ages 7,8,11, and 13 to this show. My youngest daughters both commented on how brave Miley was to have the fireworks going off around her and to keep singing. They were proud of her. In return, she inspired them.
My eight year old stayed up to watch Miley do the interview with Jay Leno in a remote from the Tacoma Dome where we saw the show. She didn’t say anything after the interview. She quitely went to bed with a hugh simile on her face.
As a mother, I want to thank Miley’s parents for such a wonderful young daughter they have raised.

This was not a concert for little girl’s who love to sing and dance. The costume’s were too provocative. Fishnet stockings, short shorts and black bra’s are in appropriate for an age group of 4-13 year olds. Miley needs to get back to being Hannah Montana. The sound was too loud and the concert was a bore. I was a big fan of Miley and I am a 40 year old with two children. I am embarrassed that I brought my 7 year old to this concert! I am upset that I wasted my money and drove 6 hours for this big disappointment. But, worse before the show I bought my daughter a t-shirt that I am not proud of!

  • Anonymous

I must say that Miley admitted during the concert that she was not feeling well, so perhaps that had somehting to do with her rather lackluster performance….it seemed as though she was just going through the motions and was not really into the performance. My daughter and I attended the Best of Both Worlds tour in St. Louis and were totally blown away by the concert. At that time, Miley was so energetic, so excited to be performing and her entire concert, from the staging to the costumes to the music and her performance all showed that enthusiasm. Even my 10 year old commented that this concert was nothing in comparison to the one she saw two yers ago.
We were also unimpressed with the opening act, Metro Station. There music, if it can be called music, was unimaginative and it all sounded the same. Also, while I realize that he is Miley’s brother and she is attempting to help him break into the business, I really did not feel his style of music was consistent with what a person attending a Miley Cyrus concert would be interested in.
    Overall, not a great concert.

  • Anonymous

I understand Miley is trying to grow into a different portion of her life and career, the program should have been promoted that way. Her brother’s bands performance was not geared toward youth age girls. My daughter and I are very open, his tattoos did not offend me or my daughter it was the reference to cigarettes, etc that caught my attention and hers.
The event needs to be promoted as a change in her career as many of the little children believed they were going to see a combo of Miley and Hannah. The title of the concert is “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Tour” I never saw Hannah!
Also, to the seating people, I paid for seats that were at the back of the stage literally. This section should not have been opened up; especially considering the fact that the concert was not sold out.
My daughter and I were not thrilled with it at all.

80+% of audience was 10 years old and younger when you subtract the parents from the crowd.
For my daughters (6 & 8) first concert experience, I thougth Miley Cyrus would be perfect. I thought they would dance and sing during the concert with MC. I was wrong. We could not understand the words she sang even when we knew the words. The sound just boomed thru the arena. MC dressed and danced very provocactively thru entire concert. My girls just sat and watched with very little connection to Miley Cyrus on stage. It was sad. MC didn’t talk with the crowd until end of concert but we couldn’t understand a word she said. Finally, MC performed @ 1.5 hours w/ lots of off stage costume changes. She should have performed more of her hit songs and changed clothes less often. Hannah Montana needed to be a part of this concert.
I wish I had read reviews before buying tickets. We drove 3+ hours to get to concert. We should have stayed home and watch her movie again. My girls love those songs and her show. Concert totally missed its audience.

this concert was TERRIBLE. I was not the only one who felt this way, there were SEVERAL parents who took their kids to the concert thinking they would be seeing something else. In her last movie she makes a specific point of connecting Hanna Montana to Miley Cirus and as the concert name suggests she was going to do Hanna Montana. However I have no idea what kind of crap music she sang and many parents did not know either. She did a motorcycle “ride” over the audience that belonged in a strip club. One thing for sure though, my daughter says she does not like Hanna Montana anymore.

The show started with Miley’s Brother who could not sing or perform well. He was so bad i wanted to take my family and leave. The seats we got were on the back& side. if you are offered these seats, i would pass.

I thought the entire show was very disturbing. I was with two ten year old girls that were constantly telling me how inappropriate Miley was dressed and how disgusting her brother was in his looks and his lyrics. She even danced and acted like a stripper in parts of the show.I think it is so sad when Hannah Montana’s main audience is little girls and Miley chose to portray herself that way. What a shame! I will certainly not give her one more dollar:(

Miley Cyrus or Hanana Montana? I wanted to see both. Apparently Miley saw it different. The whole reason I was even at the show was for my special needs child who absolutly is in love with her. I bought this tickets as a suprise for her after her surgury of having her thyroid completly removed. She loved the show becuase she loves Miley. Me and my other daughter, not so much. I feel Miley forgot where she came from. If it wasn’t for the show Hanana Montana, and all the songs that where produced from that show, Miley would still be going to school and helping around Dad’s house. She should have done some of those songs. I was really dissapointed in her and so was my daughter. And don’t even get me started on the clothing or lack of that she was wearing all night. Can you say 16 year old trying to be 25? I felt that for the amount of money I paid for these tickets, The show should of been alot better. And what was with that movie trailer she showed everyone in the middle of her performance? Can you say selfish plug? I’m from the school of rock concerts, where I pay to hear the old and the new. Can you imagine going to see AC/DC and them not playing their classics like Dirty Deeds or Highway to Hell, just because they didn’t feel like it? I can’t, and either can AC/DC. That’s why they always play those classics. I’m sorry, I will step down from my soap box now. I just wanted to vent and let people know what to expect so they too won’t be diisapointed like I was. Just remember where you came from.

My first disappointment was the band that was selected – Metro Station – to open the show. That set the tone for the rest of the concert. Their music was totally inappropriate for all of the little girls there. I was not pleased my 9 yr old had to sit through head banging music by a group who bared way too much skin and tattoos, The lyrics were about getting high, etc.
I was not surprised that Miley did not use her Hannah Montana persona. I know she is trying to change her music to fit an “older and more mature” audience. I think she could have done a better job at this knowing there would be a lot of little girls in the audience. Her clothing was very inappropriate. We will not be “Miley Cyrus Fans” any longer. I was embarrased by some of the dances that my 9 year old was seeing on stage. I knew she didn’t want to be Hannah Montana anymore but I thought she would still be a good role model for these little girs. I was wrong!!

Couldn’t understand what she was singing most of the time. No popular songs or any from “hannah”. Too many pauses for costume changes. My six year old and I were disappointed that she didn’t sing songs we knew, and we have her latest cd’s. Changing from the wholesome disney channel to shorty short leather shorts, biker boots and fake tattoo on her arm.

I fealt VERY misled by this concert. The concert was titled “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worls”…where was the other world. Where was Hannah Montana? I feel for Miley getting sick, but reschedule. We paid money to see a good concert. The whole thing was over in 2 hours, including the opening act. She was tough to hang in there though. I do not reccomend paperless tickets! Usually we trade our tickets for better seats that are available and pay the difference, you can’t do that with paperless tickets.

  • Saw Miley on Tour

Great Concert. I love how many people expect Miley to show a connection with the audience by chatting with them. I agree it would be a nice touch, but I’ve rarely heard such an expectation for a concert. The concerts I’ve been to, the artist usually makes one comment about where they’re at. Except in Las Vegas for some reason, they’re quite chatty there. I think it shows fans felt connection to Miley to want it, and I hope she incorporates it into her future concerts. That would be great! But, I’m going either way.

  • Anonymous

I was not impressed. Miley seems at the stage in life where she is lost between a child and a young woman . . . and her music reflects that struggle.

Where was Hannah Montana! We only knew a few songs and most concerts are greatest hits! She was singing to an older crowd than was in attendence. She needs to remember the age group 10 and under is what made her popular! Her brother as an opening act was a joke, covered in tatoos and yelled the whole time. I felt it was definitely a Miley Cyrus show and a shame to all the younger viewers. Please tell me her tatoo was fake! She has turned into a rocker and I don’t feel this will make her successful!

I didn’t expect for Miley Cyrus to abandon her Hannah Montana days so quickly. I think she played 3 Hannah songs, and banged her head to all of them (even ‘The Climb’…didn’t think that was possible). Her outfits were risque and her moves reminded me of Brittney Spears…not the sweet girl I’ve seen before. She’s all grown up, and is targeting an older audience. If you child is under 13, I’d not recommend this show.

Most of the other Moms I spoke with were complaining about Miley Cyrus’s costumes. They were skimpy, but I was concerned about the moves she was doing in the clothes. It would have been appropriate if she were a dancer at the Coyote Ugly Bar dancing on the counters or some other Las Vegas over 18 review with pole dancing and all. BUT… most of the audience was between maybe 6-15 young girls.
I guess her producers think this is the only way to promote her.
The sound was really bad and very muffled and we were not sitting upper deck. The dancers performing with her lacked skill and choreography was very mediocre.
The only positive is that she did run off the stage when she got sick and then returned to do the rest of the show…..

I was disappointed by the show. My elven year old had really been looking forward to it for months. When we got there the opening act Metro Station was AWFUL! I think his performance was inapporiate for the age group there. My daughter keep asking are they done yet! Then Mileys songs were just strange, her dancing consisted of throwing her head around, and the concert was short. I guess the bottom line is we were expecting something different. Maybe just a little more geared towards all the little girls there. I mean I was sitting next to a 4 year old.

I was pleasantly surprised! I thought that Miley and her crew did a fantastic job. The sound was good and the show was way better than I expected. This is a concert that I would take a girlfriend and would recommend to friends.

I was really disappointed because I took my three year old who loves Hannah Montana and I did not relize it was going to be all Miley Cyrus rocker stripper chick! She left crying because she did not know a lot of the songs that she played and she said “It was scary” I would definetly not recomened it for little girls, seems like she will start having a different audience if she keeps it up!

    ————————–

I’m disappointed that you actually think Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are one person. No where on the ticket does it say “Hannah Montana”, does it? Miley Cyrus is a completely different person to Hannah Montana – a fictional character who somebody made up. Leave your daughter in front of the television watching Hannah Montana shows in stead of giving her the wrong look upon things. I bet your daughter now thinks that the characters people play on television shows are actually those people in real life! Some parent you are.

My expectations were high going into this concert and I was not disappointed. She is truly an inspiration to children and adults of all ages. The concert was worth every penny and hope that someday my family can see her again on stage. She is both an excellent role model for my kids but also talented by playing the guitar and piano. Truly a great concert.

Miley is trying to look and sound more adult. Unfortunately, the audience was there to see and hear the teenie bop songs that made her famous. My two little girls (8 and 5) were disappointed.
Metro station (miley’s older brothers band ) was the opening act. I am hard pressed to think of ever seeing a worse band. If you have to go to this concert arrive at least 30 minutes late to miss this awful performance.

My 10 year old daughter watches Miley Cyrus on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, has her cd’s and listens to her songs like thousands of other young girls, so to see Miley in concert was an experience of a lifetime. Miley Cyrus and her television character Hannah Montana have been great roll models. This concert was not the experience I had expected though. This was not the Miley Cyrus that all these young girls dressed in complete Hannah Montana attire came to see. This was not the roll model I thought I was paying top dollar for my daughter to experience. I have never in my 48 years seen a 16 year old act so inappropriate. She seemed to be making the greatest effort to show her new found sexuality. This was really evident when she displayed a bare leg and thigh to the young audience through a slit in her skirt that went up to her waist while she sang, then later rode a motorcycle over the crowd. Her brother was also inappropriate to be in front of these young girls. Especially when he took his shirt off to show them his grossly tattooed body. Even though my 10 year old daughter could tell me about the older brother, just as she also knew the younger sister that introduced Miley, his hard rock music was not something she came to hear. I was very glad to get my daughter tickets to Miley Cyrus this year since as hard as I tried I could not find tickets to Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus last year but I was very disappointed after we saw the concert. This was my daughter’s first concert so she really liked it but I know it is also not what she had expectations to see. I will not try to get tickets for her next year if Miley is in town and I will not pay for the Miley World Fan Club again. Sixteen year olds should act like sixteen year olds and leave the sleezy stuff for those performers that have to use sleeze to get an audience. We all know the 15 year old Miley didn’t need sleeze to pack a concert.

she played approx an hour total — although we were there almost 3 hrs.
she wore hot pants, or very short shorts for most of the show — and made several crotch accentuated hand gestures, and hip girations.
my daughters were disappointed before i even said anything.
her brother is scary and looks troubled.

While I commend her for continuing the concert while she was sick, she did not excite the audience. I could not see very well and the volume was so loud I could not understand the words being sung. She didn’t even do an encore. It was not worth the ticket price. No more will I attend any of her concerts.
I guess her producers think this is the only way to promote her.
The sound was really bad and very muffled and we were not sitting upper deck. The dancers performing with her lacked skill and choreography was very mediocre.
The only positive is that she did run off the stage when she got sick and then returned to do the rest of the show…..

I took my 6 and 7 year old to see the concert and was disappointed. While the costumes and stage show were good. Miley spent a lot of time singing with her head down and never really spoke to the audience.
For the age of the crowd it was inappropriate more like a rock show which many parents I spoke with thought would be more like Hannah Montana. Yes we know she is trying to break away from the Hannah Montana but a disclaimer should be provided.
The opening act “Metro Station” was mind boggling. Not only were they spiting on stage,
Trace Cyrus removed his shirt showing 6,7 and 8 year old girls his entire torso with all his tattoos and said we shouldn’t judge the way people look…true, but do we need our little girls watching a half naked man running around onstage.
    Thanks for letting me respond…

I took my 8 year old daughter to the concert. We had gone to the Hannah Montana/meet Miley Cyrus tour back in 2007 in Nashville so I assumed it would be similar, but just showcasing Miley and not Hannah. Much to my surprise Miley was in hot pants and cleavage revealing shirts the entire time. A lot of suggestive dancing with the opposite sex and large ropes hanging from the ceiling similar to “pole dancing.”
Her brother’s band Metro Station opened the show. His music is not for children AT ALL. The lyrics of his first song mentioned taking off all of your clothes. Something my 8 year old doesn’t need to hear. The tattoo clad Trace Cyrus is trying to be the Cure mixed with Bob Dylan. Mason Musso held a tune much better than Trace, but the band in general was just horrible. Definitely riding on the coat tails of their famous family members.

  • Anonymous

Opening act was not good-clearly a plug for the brother, and with the wrong audience. Miley’s show was ehhh, but choreography was not very well done.

  • Anonymous

Unfortunately the concert experience was not good. Miley was sick, and the concert was interrupted many times. While she did carry on throughout the show (which is admirable), it was none-the-less not the experience we had hoped.

  • Anonymous

VERY long wait until she came out to start singing. Then when she did her dress didnt seem very appropriate for the audience.Alot of headbanging and grinding! Just didnt seem very kid oriented ,guess shes making transition to a different crowd.

Miley was incredible! She knows how to be on a show! I would recommend all ages to see her! This was my daughter’s first concert – It will be a Concert we will always remember!

  • Anonymous

Shame on her parents for allowing her to perform like this! SO innappropriate and irresponsible to act like this in front of the age group of kids that came to see her. I mean really…She herself is only 16 years old

  • Anonymous

Hands down the best concert I’ve ever been too. I’m completely obsessed with her. I got all teary eyed when Miley first came out. It was an incredible concert and I hope to go to many more!

Favorite moment: There were many… but probably when she came out on the motorcycle singing “I Love Rock and Roll.” Or when she sang “The Climb.” Gave me goosebumps!

  • Anonymous

Bad concert, I am not a prude but my daughter & I did not need to see her arse. We wanted to hear some good singing and we did not.

  • Anonymous

Miley Cyrus brother’s opening act was inappropriate for the age of the audience. My nieces that I brought are 6 and 7 years old and I was embarassed.
It looks like Miley is trying to attract with her performance a much older audience, so she need to advertise that and not advertise for younger audiences. Her dancing was inappropriate, and for the amount of money paid for the tickets one hour of singing was not enough. Where was Hanna Montana?

  • Anonymous

What a loud shrill evening. Brother Trace kept talking about making it-on his sister’s coat-tails. He was constanly spitting tons of spittum. Both of the singers were shreiking and screaming. Their seven or so songs were like 30 minutes of pure torture.
For the most part, Miley was really off-She seemed to be screaming the words and quite often wasn’t on the note. Her Mom’s love Rock and Roll was great. The light show was also quite good. Sining really sucked though.

  • Anonymous

Miley ROCKEDS! he was so energetic and the props, graphics were AWESOME! She smiled the whole time. She is beauitful and so far has not turned to being to grown up for the girls that made her who she is. Thanks MILEY I had a great evening. HER DANCERS are great also! How she can dance like that all night and still sing beautiful is phenomenal!!

  • Anonymous

Miley was awesome in concert. Lots of fun, she is a great performer.

  • Anonymous

My daughter and I were really excited to see the show but it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be expecially since I paid so much for the tickets. She was sick, which meant she left during her 3rd song (Seven things I hate about you). When she came back out she has alot more energy which was great, but the spitting on stage was gross. Plus those dance moves! My daughter is 9 and when we got home made the comment “she is too young to be dancing like that.” !!!! And I completely agree! I know my daughter loves her but I will not take her to another one of her shows.

  • Anonymous

This is the worst concert I have ever been to. The concert play list was poor – then you put an advertisement in for your movie in the middle of the show. It lasted just over an hour with really only 35 minutes of music. The singing was very spotty – and off key in places!

  • Anonymous

Miley was too rock n roll head bobbing up n down constantly too many people on the stage she got lost in the crowd too much everything miley screamed most the songs NO Hannah at all VERY DISAPPOINTED twice the price of the tickets as the Best Of Both Worlds PLEASE BRING BACK HANNAH WITH MILEY IN THE FUTURE!!Without Hannah being so popular…there would NOT be a MILEY. WE LOVE THEM BOTH!!!

This was a waste of money for my nine year old daughter, husband and myself.I wanted a refund from the start of the show when she ran off stage.
Her opening act was bad as well.
I work hard for my money and to spend a total of $350 for a short concert where the proformer did not give it her all is a RIP OFF.I wish I could find someone to contact to complain in hopes of geting a refund.
My daughter also was unhappy and told me she wished she could of did something else
besides coming to the concert. She spent two days working on a banner for Miley Cyruss
    what a waste of time.
she was expecting more songs and a better preformance.
If anyone might know of a way for a refund please post on the coments.
    We are very unhappy!!!

I was fairly disappointed with the Miley concert. It was not geared for her target audience at all. My guess the average age child there was probably 8. Her concert was more for teenagers not young girls. The way she danced and the clothes she wore were a bit extreme. My girls had a good time, but really expected her to be more bubbly and have more interaction with the audience. Miley seemed like she was just there to do her job and go home. This was a dream come true for most kids in attendance and I just didn’t feel like she lived up to that standard. And if she is ready to move on and be just an entertainer….then the Hannah Montana show needs to stop. There was not even ONE Hannah Montana song. I totally understand that this is a “Miley” tour, but she shouldn’t forget wear she got most of her fans…

  • Anonymous

She was very unpersonable- Show didn’t last very long! And she just didn’t seem to really want to be there

I took my 8.5 yr old daughter to this show I myself am 33. I have taken my daughter to a lot of shows this yr ( Britney spears,Taylor Swift, and no doubt) this by far hands down was the best show we have been to. Miley is quite the entertainer, her props and stage presence are fantastic.

  • Anonymous

I did not like the hard rock, leather short shorts, Miley concert. I believe Miley has out grown her audience of 7-12 year olds.

  • Anonymous

This was both my and my daughters first concert. We both had a rockin good time. It was very kid appropriate. Good job to all that was involved in the concert. It was an experience that we will not forget. It was a good dad and daughter day. Again thank you for providing such a good night.

  • Anonymous333

agh can’t stand the way she dresses it’s tooooooooooooo short

  • Anonymous

She has forgotten that her target audience is 10 year old girls. The dancing, costumes and graphics were not kid friendly… The show felt dark and her voice was not even close to being on key. We walked out after about 6 songs. We wanted to give her a chance to improve but I thought it went downhill with each song. Too bad because she has a strong following of little girls!

  • Anonymous

Miley Cyrus was everything we expected and more. We had an unforgettable time, the show was spectacular!!!

  • Anonymous

Too loud and too little clothes for my daughter. She was extremely dissapointed. Way too much marketing during entire event.

  • Anonymous

Miley is the best singer and role model out there in MY opinion. I’m 16, so keep walking if you want to talk about how she doesn’t wear granny pants.

p.s. oceanup, stop putting the worst pics as the top ones.

    Kthanks..

I was very disappointed in the show. I took my 6 year old daughter, and once the oopening act was out, I wished that I hadn’t. The majority of the age range was between 4 – 15 years old. However, Miley has way outgrown her audience. I thought the show was too mature for those that were there. Her dress and dance moves were totally inappropriate, especially for someone her age.
I feel that if she continues down the path that she is on, she is going to lose the majority her fan base, those who have watched her on the Disney Channel. After all, that is where most of earnings is coming from.

  • Anonymous

For a fan base of young girls, I think Miley made a huge mistake of making such an extreme contrast of who she was as Hannah Montana to how she apparently wants to be seen as Miley Cyrus. Throughout the concert, my daughter anxiously awaited a Hannah Montana song or even a glimpse of the Hannah Montana she knew. Instead, she kept leaning over with a disappointed face and telling me she didn’t like the song or the way Miley looked or was moving. If I hadn’t paid so much for the tickets, I would have left after the first few songs, when I realized Miley’s songs could only be appreciated by a much older and less innocent audience than the one she was singing to—an audience packed with young girls and their mothers. My daughter came home and cried herself to sleep after she told me all the Hannah Montana things she had that she was going to get rid of the next day.

  • JonasxCyrus

it’s true… a crapload of her shows got cancelled because not very many people bought tickets.

and gotta give props to the hater, most creative hating i’ve ever seen! lol
    ——
LOL, I’m not a hater, i like her music just not her:)

  • Anonymous

I am a mother of twins and very disappointed at this concert. I was not aware that Miley Cyruss would not be singing the Hannah Montanna songs thought she was both as in seen in her tv shows and movie. Most of the young children around us were just playing as this was not the concert for them especially with the way she dresses.

  • Anonymous

the music itself was disappointing. I attended a concert from her first series and it was fabulous. The music in this concert didn’t approach the quality of the music in the first concert series. As she evolves into an adult singer, she has not yet found her voice.

  • Anonymous

Miley’s brother ripped his shirt off, exposing all his tatoos, throwing drinks on the audiance. My 5 yr old was crying and wanted to leave after 1 min. Miley should had thought of the age and crowd before she let him open for her. I had her stay to see Miley and she was so upset after the opening we had to leave early. Very disapointing. Miley is changing her age group she is proforming for, I feel that is gonna be a big mistake for her.

  • Anonymous

all she did was promote her clothing line and movie, grind into her dancers, hump the floor and sing off-key. opening act was terrible. DO NOT ATTEND THIS CONCERT.

  • Anonymous

We were very disappointed Fri night. Miley was performing for a crowd much older than her Hannah Montana fan base. I knew we were seeing MIley — and not Hannah — but I expected the Miley we saw in the movie this summer. Instead, we saw a sexy woman playing hard rock music. She never spoke to her fans other than “Are ya’ll having fun” – and didnt even appear to enjoy being there. I was hoping MIley was going to be a role model – but after Fri night – we have moved on. I do not want my 9 yr old to dress like that, dance like that, or even sing some of the lyrics. Miley has definatly outgrown our family. We wish her well, but would not see her again.

Miley Cyrus was a great concert. Her energy seems endless. She performed a variety of music . Her new songs are great . Miley cyrus was a concert with many costume changes and some fantastic props. Miley has a great band and dancers that are also very enjoyable . What a talented star Miley is and for us a night to remember !!

The group Metro Station was not very good. Miley was not feeling well as she even admits, she should have canceled and re booked so she can give her fans 100% versus 68%. For the price of the tickets, I feel it could have gone better.

  • Anonymous

I was highly disappointed in the Miley concert. She did not sound good, did not sing for very long and the worst was the fact that the tickets cost way too much. She did not appeal to young girls under the age of twelve which was the majority of her fan base there. And Metro Station put on a terrible opening act! If I had known how this concert was going to be back in April, I don’t think I would have purchased tickets. Luckily the ten year old girl that I took had a great time and will remember her one chance to see Miley Cyrus forever.

  • Anonymous

The Miley concert was horrible. The opening act was not suitable for the children that attended this concert. The music was entirely tooooo loud from both Metro and Miley. Our seats were awful too. When you select find the best seats and they give you row 22 not good at all. This was my first and last concert for Verizon Arena and Miley Cyrus.

  • Anonymous

The production in this show is very good. BUT, Miley is getting a little skanky and tries so hard to belt it out. Singing is natural and shouldn’t require pushing or grimacing. This will probably be the last one I can take my little girl to.

  • Anonymous

The titile of this event is wrong its the Miley Cyrus Wonder World tour 2009. . . I went to the concert not expecting to like it as much as i did. You couldnt really hear Metro Station to well so we thought that’s how it would be for miley… but we were wrong. We could hear her perfect. I had alot more fun than I expected and am happy I went.

Ok, i’m out…Bye Kimmy and Emily Ford.

Her setlist was awful, songs I had never heard before. Her outfits were really weird. The dancing was good. It was just her choice in songs, they were dark and boring. I wanted to hear the songs that we all know and love.

  • Anonymous

it was the best concert in the world and i LOVED IT

  • Anonymous

first of all i took my younger sisters to see the concert and to have them watch miley dance in such a horrendous fashion was disgraceful. Miley should have known she would be preforming for a very young crowd and should have danced with dignity not like a stripper.

  • Anonymous

Metro Station should be reserved for an adult audience. Shirt off and inuendo filled lyrics is inappropriate for a venue full of 7 year old girls. Costumes worn by Miley Cyrus consisted of extremely short spandex shorts also inappropriate for the children in attendance. I heard many parents commenting that this concert was definitely not what they had expected. If Miley Cyrus is trying to reach a different demographic it would be helpful to let her current fan base know that she is moving on… because we sure will be.

  • Anonymous

Had I know this was going to be a rock concert with a sexual overtone, I would not have taken my 6 and 8 year olds. There were a ton of little girls (the percentage of her audience) yet Miley catered to an older audience which she doesn’t have. There will not be anther time for us. We saw the Jonas Brothers a month ago and it was fantastic- a real class act. Unfortunately we can’t say the same for Miley.

This was by far the best concert I have ever attended~ My kid also loved it and can’t stop talking about it. Way to Go Miley~ Girl knows how to put on a show!!! Very Child friendly and I would see her in concert again~ A high point in life~

My daughter was absolutely crushed that Miley did not sing any of her old classics like “Best of Both Words.” The acoustics in the Verizon Center were awful.

The Miley Cyrus concert in Louisville,KY was quite disappointing. The majority of the audience were 4 to 12 year olds there to see THEIR Hanna Montana and she never showed up. The costumes were barely there as well: TOO risque for this age group. There was too much sex appeal that was not appropriate for this age group . She never sang any of her former songs that this group enjoyed. It seems as though she is trying to reach a much older group of fans and they were not attending this convert.

Miley Cyrus has added two more shows for her end-of-year tour, due to demand.
The Disney star has announced two nights at the O2 Arena in London, after selling-out two concerts at the same venue.
The new gigs will take place on December 19 and 20. Get Miley Cyrus tickets here.

The Miley concert last night was absolutely amazing! I am 26 and took my 11 year old neice to the event. I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus just as much as the next teeny bopper yet I am in my 20’s! I found the show exciting up beat as well as extremely entertaining. Miley puts on a great show! I loved the props, the motorcycle, and also the ballet dancing in the background of one of her songs. I also liked the sneak peak of the new movie coming out, “The Last Song”. I would definitely go to another Miley concert any day!

  • Anonymous

Miley Cyrus is the best concert I have been to. Some concerts don’t sound like the artist CD at all and she sounded just like hers. She puts on a great show and you can tell she really enjoys her music. My daughter was the happiest I have ever seen her, she absolutely loves Miley. Miley is a great role model.

  • Anonymous

This is not a concert for the Hannah Montana crowd. The young kids that were near me were bored through most of the show. This is Miley trying to be much older. Opening act, which is her brother’s band, also wasn’t really for the young set.

  • paaaal

where are her clothes? so much for being a “role model”

  • Anonymous

Me and my 5 year old were geared up and ready to “Rock out the Show”, but we were very disappointed. Miley had a great show (what we saw of it), but the loudness and distortion of the music was so awful that we left early. The opening act was desperate for attention and sounded like a lot of screaming! By the time the opening act was over it was 8pm and many of the little kids were tired. Miley came out and the kids perked back up, but the thump, thump, thump of my chair and the crackling and screaming from the acoustics was a real turn off for all of us who are concert lovers. We left early because my daughters stomach was upset from the loudness of the music and she was disappointed that there weren’t any Hannah Montana tunes. Maybe we missed it by leaving early, but couldn’t take anymore.

  • Anonymous

Did not stand out, started late. Did not sing very long, did not ever sing her old music. The stage plain. Clothes were inapropriate.

  • Anonymous

To much of an adult themed activity in this show. I guess Miley is wanting to come out and leave Hannah behind. Metro station is the same. Both acts left me feeling like less of a parent for not vetting this better than to take my 9 year old too.

  • Anonymous

It was R rated at times. Her brother was completely out of line when he took his shirt off. My four year old cried because of things he was yelling at the crowd! Miley shocked us all! Nothing like we expected! We will never attend another Miley Cyrus event, EVER! Her brother was terrible!!! She was R rated for sure. He should have never taken his shirt off at this event. It is for sure not for 13 years of age or younger and that was the crowd due to the name of the event!

  • Anonymous

I thought that Miley has lost her pop star identity and is trying to imitate Britny Spears. Miley’s outfits were horrible, energy was low, and her brother was really sad! I wish she sang more of her older music. I think that after this concert her popularity will come down!

  • Anonymous

Concert was to short and way to many wardrobe changes. Paid way to much money to hear only 13 songs.

    Miley is pure talent

I am very impressed with this young girls talents. She’s got a unique and beautiful singing voice. Her show is very well choreographed and highly entertaining even if you’re in the nose bleed seats!

I took my 7 year old daughter and her friend for her birthday! I will never go see another Miley Cyrus concert again. If I could get my money back I would have left and gotten it back. I was very disappointed!! There were parts of it that were R rated!! It was not a image I wanted my daughter to see, her girating on stage!!! The shorts and the grinding were way to much and to only think she is only 16!! And her brother was WAY too much! I actually covered my daughter’s eyes when he took his shirt off. I honestly felt like I was at a heavy metal concert at times!! Does she forget that these are kids (little kids) that are at her concert and their parents paid really good money for these tickets!! And for her father to let her act like that on stage shows that he is after nothing but money. Well this is one parent that won’t ever spend money on her concerts again for my daughter!! What happened to Hannah Montana????????

  • Juliaop

I just want to outline two things. Hannah Montana is KID FRIENDLY. Miley Cyrus is NOT. And now all the parents that ask me how her show was know that. But I just have to say, what she sings is pop music, and it usually attracts kids or tweens. The JB show was much better than Miley’s.

  • kimmy4444

i hate to say this but I was looking forward to taking my daughter to the Miley Cyrus concert for her birthday. I wanted to like it but unfortunately I was very disappointed, not for me but for my daughter. She was not very impressed with the music because you couldn’t tell what Miley was singing or should I say screaming. The large screen prompts with displays would block half the large screens showing the concert and the stage was not at all impressive.

too much dirty dancing for the age appropriate crowd. she is changing her image in a hurry. i guess we got caught in that change, different from the disney channel image. also trey cyrus should have kept his shirt on. i will not give a good review to anyone. i am very disappointed with this show and for the 300 dollars i spent. thank you, pam

I’m a mom reviewing the concert – we had a GREAT time! Miley is always fun to watch, loved her show – she is awesome.

  • Anonymous

Miley is no longer Hannah Montana and the bubblegum pop is no more, she is definitely changing things up. We enjoyed this concert, thought the dancing and special effects superb and was not in the least offended by her “skimpy” outfits. I’ve seen more risque clothing on the young girls in the local dance companies spring recitals. Her brothers band, Metro Station was nothing spectacular and we could of gone without the plugs for her new clothing line and movie. Overall it was a very enjoyable, and loud, show.

  • Anonymous

I was extremely disappointed with the choice of Metro Station as the opening act. Very inappropriate for the under 12 aged girls that make up most of the audience. The grunge rocker chick image that Miley portrays in this concert is not one I wish to reinforce with my daughter. Where was the wholesome, positive role model that Miley was in the last concert tour? I will not be buying her tickets again.

I don’t get why parents say “Oh she’s heading down the Britney path”
Doing a lil sexy move on stage, doesn’t justify how she is going to go psycho and crazy lady shaving her hair off, do drugs & have a 55 minute marriage etc.
Can someone please explain that to me?

I went to the Miley Cyrus concert in Glendale, Arizona. I was disappointed to say the least. In my viewpoint Hannah Montana is what made Miley Cyrus and little girls all over the country and their parents supported her. I understand she wants to get rid of the Hannah Montana but it will not happen. I still think of all the Brady Bunch kids as still the Brady Bunch kids no matter what else they do and I think this is how most think of Miley as Hannah Montana. She could of dressed up also as Hannah, she could of sang more Hannah songs, this is a let down to the little fans who supported her. Just think little girls like my 6 year old daughter and all yours admired her and she can’t even honor them with what they came for. Then her outfits were on the borderline as far as a concert that was filled with little girls. If it’s mostly adults then I wouldn’t think anything about her outfits but this is little girls. Miley your trying to act all grown up but your actually acting more like a kid then a grown up in my view point. Concert was just over an hour long. Paid was too much and got way too little. I felt ripped off. Just way too short.

  • Anonymous

For the price of the tickets Miley could have and should have played atleast 30 more minutes. I will not have my children attend one of her concerts again….they can watch on TV for free.
Also, the ticketing was a pain. I do not like the paperless tickets where whomever ordered the tickets online was required to get them at the window and All parties had to enter at the same time….this was a scheduling nightmare for us as some had to come late, so it made everyone late. Not fair!

  • Anonymous

When I purchased tickets for my 5 and 7 year old daughters a few months ago, I believed Miley Cyrus to be along the same lines as Hannah Montana. Wow! Was I wrong about that!
When we arrived at the Arena, two hours before showtime, I noticed that the majority of those attending were young girls between the ages of 5-8. Of course, that’s what I expected, and I would guess that those who arranged the concert would have expected that as well.
I was very disappointed in the choice of costume, songs, dancing, etc! Miley’s brother decided to take his shirt off, against the advice of others. It wasn’t about the tatoo… it was about the fact that he was taking his shirt off in front of a bunch of little girls. What was he thinking? The costumes, in general, were a disappointment and not something I want my girls to imitate… Miley’s incredibly short shorts, low-cut tops, the dancer’s fish-net stockings and men’s shirts (worn by the women) were all very suggestive. The dancing was also very inappropriate at times. I had to cover my girls’ eyes during one song as the dancer’s were displayed on the big screen, wearing practically nothing and all over each other. Frankly, I wish we would have just left! Finally, my kids were only familiar with a couple of songs. The one they were looking forward to the most, the hoedown throwdown, was very short… quite a disappointment!
I realize that Miley Cyrus wants to separate herself from Hannah Montana and hopes to attract a different audience… I can definitely say we won’t be going back nor will we encourage our girls to look to her as a role model. Judging from all the comments I heard from upset moms following the concert, I would guess she may get her wish and lose her typical audience in the near future.

As a mother of a five year old, I was extremely disappointed. MIley’s fan base consists of little girls under the age of 10 and the show was geared for teenagers to adults. They all came in big anticipation of hearing and seeing Miley do the Ho Down Throw Down and they got one stanza!!!!! REALLY A BUMMER FOR THE KIDS! Miley we have loved you as a child star but fear your work may lead you to the place where the Olson twins and Lindsey Lohan are today. We hope you rethink your show and preserve your innocence. Taylor Swift’s show was no where near as suggestive as yours and she has an adult fan base too. If you continue this show, you should advertise it as your transition into the world of adult entertainment and not appeal to young girls. They look up to you and the Lord knows our youth need a positive role model. Your brother was repulsive with displaying the tatoos to the children. They are too young to understand the message he was trying to convey. We love you as an actor and Hannah Montana, but were not impressed with your performance last night.

Miley’s brother was absolutely terrible- the opening act- wow, what a huge mistake- please have him go away!!! Miley was very seductive, why? Her audience is 6-9 year old little girls and she and her brother have a wannabe rock concert that sends them home wondering where’s Hannah and who were those people that sang songs filled with sex and danced like they were at a club…wow, I cannot express how disappointed I was.

What an incredible entertainer. Very impressed with her diversity both musically and in appealing to a wide range in audience age. The sets were amazing and it was nice to see the range in set changes while everyone looked to be having fun – not too much drama.

I took my daughter and both of us were disappointed, especially after seeing Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and Jonas Brothers this summer. They relied on talent and not booty-shanking. Can’t say the same for Miley.

  • Anonymous

For a concert that draws mainly girls ages 5-18, Miley’s outfits were absolutely inappropriate. I didn’t know we were seeing a teenage version of Madonna (though Madonna’s outfits are more modest)! Miley commented that she was feeling under the weather, and no wonder with all that screaming she did. After the Hannah Montana movie came out, I thought Miley was going to explore her country roots. I had no idea she was more in line with heavy metal.
While my 10-year loved it, my eight year-old didn’t like that Miley didn’t do more songs she could understand. My teenager was appalled with Miley’s clothes.
We saw Demi Lovato this past summer, and she was awesome! Other than my youngest, we weren’t even Demi fans at the time. We’d see her again in a heartbeat. No more Miley though.

I toook my 7 year old daughter to see Miley in Louisville, KY. We were not big fans of Metro Station (on stage for 30 min.) Then stage change turned into 1 and 15 min. of waiting for Miley to come out…Once she came out ( 8:45). Between costume changes and singing…she was on stage for about 1 hour and 20 min. I was very disappointed with the show…especially since I paid so much to see her. We got more out of the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lavato concert then we would get out of seeing Miley perform everyday.

    I’m 37
    i’m not a fan
    not by a long shot
    *but*
i do concerts and so i took this as seriously as i would TOOL or whatever
    downloading the set list
listening to it with my daughter for a couple of weeks prior to the date
    (often times painful to me)
but i went into the concert at least knowing the music
i was one of the few parents singing along to every song and being happy about it :)
we were 7 rows from the top back row
    but it was still wonderful!
Truly i think Miley has more talent than i gave her credit for
    it wasn’t just a concert
it was a well thought out show with acts and costumes and props
she pulled it all off seamlessly
based just on her show alone
not including the venue or if i like the music or not
    just based on her performance
    i thought it was brilliant

Favorite moment: i don’t know why but i was very taken with “Bottom of the Ocean” and when she free fell backwards at the end? so well done

So disappointed!!!!!! Miley needs to know her audience. No longer Hannah Montana. There was so many little girls at the concert and the dancing was so inappropriate!!

Talented singer great concert for older teens

Ms. Cyrus gave a great preformance and was stunning on stage. However, I didn’t care for the clothes or some of the “acts” that went on. Keep it clean Ms. Cyrus and I’d go to another concert with my daughers.

  • ASni13

some of the pictures are mine from her penn state concert on november 5… she was GREAT!

The sound system for Miley’s performance was horrible. It was so loud and so garbled my daughter (age 8) kept asking what Miley was singing. I also understand that Miley is getting older and trying to reflect that in her show, but some of her choreography is way to suggestive for the age of most of her audience. Miley needs to understand that many of her audience is still the young girls who have come to love her through her TV show and are coming to see her because of her show not necessarily because they’ve bought her latest CD.

I took my granddaughter (who’s 9) and I doubt that I’ll ever hear the end of it!!! She
along with a neighbor girl and another friend will be going over it for years to come
I’m sure – and even for me, I enjoyed it too – it was fun to see her in person rather
than on tv – she was impressive. It’s just too bad that all the tickets couldn’t be
    front row seats.

Over an hour wait between Metro Station (the opening act) and Miley due to technical problems. Metro Station was horrible. Miley, just a very well packaged new Brittany Spears. There’s nothing original anymore.

  • Anonymous

I go to a ton of concerts and shows. This one was awful- the volume was way too loud- it was painful- people all around us were actually plugging their ears! Miley was obviously trying to rid herself of the Hannah Montana persona by being angry, rebellious and wild. She didn’t look like she was even enjoying herself- barely addressed the audience at all- very poor report with her fans- extremely disappointed in the overall experience! Our seats were great- the Honda Center was very clean and the people working there were polite, helpful and available.

  • Anonymous

Mediocre at best. I wasn’t expecting much but she couldn’t even reach my low expectations. One star out of five.

  • Anonymous

Metro Station was very inappropriate for the targeted age group. All they did was bounce up and down, head-bang, and sing about taking your clothes off and touching each other. Finally after they finished their 30 min set, it was time for Miley, but Miley didn’t come on for another hour!! When she did finally come on I was disappointed in her costume choices. Her but was hanging out of everything and she was dancing on the floor and poles very provocatively! Despite her wardrobe, she was a great singer. The only thing we didn’t like was how she didn’t play any of the songs that made her famous. a lot of the time she played songs that people hadn’t ever heard of yet. Very disappointing concert overall :(

  • Anonymous

My first disappointment was the band that was selected – Metro Station – to open the show. Their music was totally inappropriate for the millions of little girls there between the ages of 3 and 13. I was not pleased my 5 yr old had to sit through a set of head banging music by a group who bared way too much skin and tattoos that sang lyrics about getting high, etc.
To see Miley Cyrus take the stage was a relief and my 5 yr old was thrilled. We were not surprised that she did not use her Hannah Montana persona as we know she is trying to change her music to fit an “older and more mature” audience. However I think she could have found more of a happy medium. I am 38 years old and have loved rock music all my life but I did not find her new songs appealing at all. Many lyrics were literally screamed and her clothing and makeup choices seemed too raw and harsh. If she continues to go towards this direction, I don’t see us being “Miley Cyrus Fans” for too much longer.

Not as good as her first concernt.
90% of audience were little girls under age of 12.
She’s trying to be a rocker and that’s not what these little girls want.
Her brother was horrible and set the tone for the concert.
The tatoos are over the top and he was annoying.
Miley had NO energy and was not engaging with the audience.
Really NOT a very good concert. Not much dancing or choregraphy either.

    LOVE MILEY MORE NOW!

Miley wore inappropriate clothing and danced inappropriately for the type of fans she has at this point in her life. The majority of the people there were kids under 16 and it was terrible. She did have good effects. I know she is trying to get out from beneath the Hannah Montana image but she is still only 16. My 17 year old was shocked that she had 2 tattos on her arms because of the innocent image she has of Miley. I no longer consider her a role model for young girls and would not go to another concert of hers. The opening act, her brothers band, was even 5 times worse. Tattos all over his body, telling parents to get up out of their seats or they did not deserve them. He is a hard core rocker and definately not appropriate for this concert. Just very disappointed with the whole thing. Took my 5 year old daughter out of the concert for Metro Station and should have taken her out for Miley’s concert.

  • Anonymous

Sooooo disappointed! This concert was not for young children which seemed to make up the majority of the audience. This performance was all around trashy. The shirt I bought for my daughter before the concert started will be trashed as we are no longer fans of Miley Cyrus.

Miley was amazing. We loved all the songs. It was cool when she went up in the air on the motorcycle. We liked it when the dancers and Miley drove in the car and the iceberg at the beginning.

At last night’s show (the Miley concert in Anaheim, not the Best of Both Worlds as the caption may show), I could see that either Miley didn’t want to be there or was totally exhausted or on the verge of burning out or all of the above. The sound was poor and the volume was too much, and I’m a 70’s metal rocker – this Miley show was simply too loud. I can understand Miley wanting to “break out” of her Hannah Montana image but after last night I would tell her to bring back Hannah, or at least Hannah’s style. Miley is swinging too much to the other extreme of Hannah. Maybe Miley should make the shift to adulthood more gradually. She disaffected a large portion of her young fan base with last night’s show, between the noise and the risque’ outfits. I realize that she is probably trying to do just that – get away from the little girl fan base and be taken seriously as an adult artist. Well, she does have many good songs as Miley, but the presentation looks and feels unnatural, as if she’s trying too hard. And just because she’s not wearing the Hannah wig doesn’t mean she can’t rock out by singing more of the old Hannah songs as Miley. (I know, I know – she’s probably sick and tired of them, another reason to take a break from it all). Another thing, and this is the reason I’m worried about Miley….it seems to me that she is being pushed and pulled by the powers that be. Nobody, adult or teenager, should be working as hard and as much as Miley has been for the past 3 years. Between the TV show, the new CDs, the movies…..I realize that she probably wants to work, but I would bet that there’s a lot of powerful people that are just trying to cash in on her string of hits of a few years ago. Take my advice Miley…..SLOW DOWN. You’re young and you’ve got plenty of time. Don’t burn yourself out. And try not to turn off the young kids with your need to grow up too fast. Take a few months off and get some rest. You have got so much raw talent, I hate to see it wasted on performances like last night. There were a lot of sad and disappointed young faces at that show and I know that you care about your young fans, the ones who, along with that raw talent, got you to where you are today.
Lastly, in the unlikely event that you yourself are actually reading this Miley, my 10 year old daughter still loves you, but she probably won’t be going to any more of your concerts. Her ears are still ringing today. And don’t get me wrong, I too am still a big fan and I’m a 52 year old male. I love you because my daughter loves you, but I am also a rock guitarist and I know talent when I see it. You got tons of it. Don’t waste it. Be more selctive. And sweet niblets, get some rest.

This was the worst show ever. I paid 4 tickets @ $75 each and we were sitting at the upper level on the end. My kids were crying, because they said they could not see her face. I was very disapointed.

  • Anonymous

It is sad that Miley is heading in this direction. The costumes and dancing were over-sexed for a 16 year old. Unfortunately most of her fans are still the very impressionable young Hannah Montana fans. This is definitely not the role model we want them to follow. She sounds much better when mixed in a studio. She hit a lot of bad notes. So even if you closed your eyes to the costumes and gyrating, the singing was not worth going for.

  • Anonymous

Show was a little more “mature” than her audience was. There was a happy medium that unfortunately she seemed to blow past in her effort to “grow up.” Overall the show lacked a finhed performance feel and instead served up an ok experience. I expected more as did my kids.

  • Anonymous

Awesome seats! Not so awesome show. Not something little girls should go to.

What a huge disappointment! Her brother’s opening act was terrible! From his shameless self promotion of his band (obviously riding the coattails of his sister!) to removing his skin tight t-shirt to show off a bunch of disgusting tatoos! This was not appropriate given the average age of the audience! Those young girls in floor section- be glad you could not see past the people in front of you!
For Miley, she did not even seem like she enjoyed herself! Each song was just mechanical and going through the motions of getting onto the next song. The set was such a disappointment as well. The only interesting part came when she “rode” the motorcycle in the air…that was as close as she got to many fans. While I can understand her wanting to break out from her Hannah persona….so many of the little girls there left profoundly disappointed at the lack of songs they were so famiiar to them. For the price of the tickets, parking, programs, etc…much more was expected! There were essentially no “costumes”! So much black and just shorts, fishnet stockings, and hair swinging! Come on! There is so much more talent in her than flaunting and sexual teasing…why do all performers think every person in the audience wants that? I recently saw Taylor Swift in this same venue and it was a million times better! She connected so well to the audience, costumes, set, and appeal was so well done! Well worth the price of the ticket. This ticket……well, I for one felt taken!

  • Anonymous

This event should have been billed as an adult concert. She looked and danced way too sexy for her audience of young girls. I feel she is headed down the Brittney Spears path. I would have NEVER taken a young girl to this concert. Her brother who opened up for her was also TOTALLY inappropriate. I am very sad and discouraged, I felt I was misled.

  • Anonymous

Definiely not Hannah Montana. Miley seemed tired and just wanting to get thru the show.

I am 48 years old, and I brought my Nieces 9 year old daughter! I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I was a bit of a skeptic about Miley Cyrus. But my Niece already knew what I didn’t know!
I think it was a pretty awesome show! I have seen my share of Rock shows, which is what made me skeptical of Miley. While her brand of rock isn’t quite the Van Halen; Pearl Jam; AC/DC; Aerosmith; Black Sabbath and others that I am used to. She truly made a believer out of me that she can handle a big crowd and keep them all entertained, no matter what their age!
AAA+++ of a show! I will go see her again on her next tour for sure! She made a new fan, albeit a 48 year old fan of her music!

Excellent concert! Miley was fantastic! Great special effects, lighting and her costumes…WOW! I was impressed and I’ve been to a lot of concerts.

There were so many young girls and their moms/dads at the concert expecting to see entertainment that was age appropriate. When her brother came out – we wanted to leave. He was terrible and the lyrics were definitely not child friendly. He is not an asset to MIley — he is a liability.
We have enjoyed Miley’s movie and tv show but the concert was a disappointment. My kids and those around us did not know most of the songs. The costumes and lyrics were much too mature for the young children in the audience.
Sadly, we will not be following Miley any more. She seems to have taken a path typical to all Disney machines – a turn away from clean entertainment.

  • Anonymous

I realize that Miley is trying to change her image, however the majority of her audience consisted of 5-11 year old girls whose parents payed a lot of money to see the Miley they know from the Hannah Montana t.v. show. This concert was overtly suggestive and totally innappropriate for the audience. A lot of little girls were disappointed when she failed to even throw in an occassional song from the show or movie. When she did finally play “Hoedown” and had the venue up and dancing, she abrubtly stopped in the middle of the song and moved on. Also, the sound was terrible and the words almost unrecognizable at times. The shameless cross promotion was also annoying, showing clips from her new movie in the middle of the concert when most of the audience wasn’t even old enough to see it. I know my girls were very disappointed after the show, which is a shame since they had been looking forward to it for so long.

  • Anonymous

I was very disappointed in the concert. I understand that Miley Cyrus is trying to rid herself of her sweet, wholesome, Disney persona, but she needs to pay attention to who her audience is. My daughter is 9 and was by no means the youngest girl there. I was uncomfortable with many of Miley’s sexual moves and general sexual inuendo. No, my daughter doesn’t understand sex is yet, but I am still concerned about the message that images such as Miley reaching for her crotch in her mini leather shorts or doing a pole-type dance with a rope sends to young girls. What I have liked about Miley up until now is the positive message she has sent to girls about being themselves and loving who they are. That has clearly changed as she is trying to launch herself into an adult world that she’s just not ready for yet, after all she’s still only 16.

FAIL. they aren’t an average of 7 years old. LOL. There’s probably some 7 year olds there but here fanbase is mostly 12 and up and people in their teens. Even as a 49 year old male, father of a 9 year old – I thought the show was really good. I knew from reading other reviews that the show was going to be rock – we were not expecting Hannah Montana. Music was good – the stage was amazing – and I have paid a lot more to see less of a show. Bottom line my daughter enjoyed her first ever concert.
It’s not a good show if your kids are young enough to like the wiggles but for 9 year old I thought it was good.

  • Anonymous

We love Miley…but her show was WAY too sexual for the age she is and more importantly her audience. The kids had a great time but the moms all watched with a cringing look on their faces. Shame on her show manager for treating this as 23 year old entertainer rather than the teenager that Miley is. I am all for her breaking away from her lolipop child persona of Hannah but it was too early. She is still a kid and the idea of seeing her in very little with cleavage showing & her back up dancers wearing a man’s button up dress shirt with panties for one number was just wrong.

I did not get to go see Hannah Montana The Best of Both Worlds. Tickets were sold out before the time to start selling them, I did just get done going to go see Miley Cyrus with my girls and we loved it. We were not to fond of the opening show, I thought it was inappropriate. Most of the audience were children under 12 and some of the words in his songs I did not agree with but the reason I came to the show was for Miley. She Was Wonderful and Yes I have told all my friends that they missed out. My favorite song is The Climb so that was my most favorite part but the whole show was very entertaining. If I was reviewing The Miley Cyrus Concert it would be 5 stars and a Yes bu the title is wrong at the top but the date is right.

The acoustics coupled with the bass that was completely over the top, one could not even hear Miley Cyrus. Her apparel she chose was also too risque for the average age of the crowd she draws, which is age 7. My 7 year old daughter was shocked her shorts were barely covering her upper thighs.
Unless her band cleans up their outrageous loud music and we can hear her, and Miley cleans up her act with her clothes, we won’t be back for another concert.
This was mentioned from all parents around us.

okay i like miley and all so dont bash me when i say this.but i think a part of liking her is admiting when she is wrong.there is a limit the way a girl should act,and when girls act and dress like cheap ass hoes it gives females a BAD name.because like if demi or selena were on sage doing that youll be calling them hoes.just like you do selena know slutlena hoemez or whatever the fuck you people say.and she hasnt done shit.but when miley does whatever you guys always twist and make it seem like she is perfect and cant make a mistake.and you bitch at people who hate her.but i see you guys at a demi/selena post calling them names and shit.and when people bitch at you you try to tiwst and justify what you did, when your really making youself look like a hypocrite and an idiot.like when if miley killed someone youll be like “oh well all she did was blow his balls off and get ten years to life, still lover her though”.agian i dont hate miley but i think all this controversty over who is the best on disney gets old and fucking pathetic.

I brought my two daughters to the concert because they love Miley’s music. I wish she would have been a better role model for all the kids that were present. Miley’s followers happen to be kids and she needs to be watching how she dresses and acts in front of them. Her dancing can be very sexual in nature and her clothing choice is showing her followers that less clothing is better. These kids are the ones that are making Miley Cyrus a star therefore she needs to be a better role for them.

If Miley is trying to distance herself from her Hannah Montana image–that is fine, however, I wish I would have known that. Then, I would not have brought my 9 year old daughter. Her dance moves and outfits were more like Britney than Hannah.
The singing was VERY loud and sounded more like shouting.

Okay, prepare yourselves for scantily dressed dancers and Miley in leather and lingerie, hard rocker sounds, and a lot of suggestive dance moves. It’s Miley growing up and i pray this is just a phase. Her brother opened the show ( a big mistake) with his band Metro Station and uses profanity, takes off his shirt and shows proudly his completely tattooed torso. They are not entertaining of anywhere near the JOnas Bros. who opened previously. This show is not appropriate for the tiny little girls who came to soak up some super sweet Miley/ Hannah Montana fun. BE WARNED it is a PG 13 show if not almost R rated.

THE AUDIENCE CONSISTED MOSTLY OF LITTLE GIRLS EXPECTING TO SEE HANNAH MONTANA. IT WASN’T EVEN A WHOLESOME MILEY CYRUS. HER BROTHER AS HER OPENING ACT WAS IN POOR TASTE FOR THE AGE GROUP THAT SHE BRINGS IN. IF SHE WISHES TO GROW UP HER IMAGE ( THE SHORT SHORTS TEN DIFFERENT TIMES WAS A LITTLE MUCH) THEN STOP BEING ATTRACTIVE TO THE AUDIENCES OF ADOLESCENTS. ALSO, SHE SHOULD HAVE HAD SOME KIND OF WARNING AS TO THE SHOW SHE WAS TO PUT ON. THE JONAS BROTHERS WERE WONDERFUL AND CATERED TO THE AGE GROUP THEY ATTRACT. SHE NEEDS TO REMEMBER WHO GOES TO HER MOVIES AND BUYS HER CDS.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO UPSET OVER A CONCERT IN MY LIFE. MILEY CYRUS DANCING AND ACTIONS WERE NOT MEANT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 10. FIRST SHE NEEDS TO PUT SOME CLOTHES ON . WHEN YOUR TARGET AUDEINCE IS 10 AND UNDER YOU SHOULD CENTER YOUR PROFORMANCE AROUND THEM. NOT RUBBING YOURSELF ALL OVER A MOTORCYCLE. NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL CHILDREN.

Miley was dressed way too provocative for Hannah Montana fans, and that is ALL that was there. She was acting way too old as well. Did not enjoy nor appreciate Metro Station and the removal of his shirt to show his tattooed torso…(even after they told him not to do this.) Overall, was very disappointed with the show and would not recommend it for any girl under age 18.

When taking my 6 and 8 year old to a Hannah Montana concert, I was not expecting her to come out in bondage clothing and pole dance. Very inappropriate for her target audience. Also the vocals were horrible. What a disappointment.

There were little kids there to see her, because that is mainly her crowd, and then she wear really revealing clothes! The music was a little loud or the bass was turned way up so so sometimes I couldn’t even understand what she was singing.

I took my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. She loves the HM movie and soundtrack. I thought we would see a lot of the music from the movie and some of her new music from the Miley CD. I was prepared not to see Hannah Montana- thought maybe we would see the Miley we saw in the movie. Was totally shocked to see a 16 year old Madonna wanna-be. Thought the outfits and dancing were not age appropriate for the young girls attending the concert. Had this concert been marketed differently, I would not have taken a 7 year old – she gave her young fans a few teasers of some of her more popular songs but that is all they were- teasers- didn’t even finish the complete Hoe-Down song- an obvious crowd pleaser. The special effects were great- I will say that. The opening act- her older brother’s band Metro Station was horrific! Really could have done without him removing his shirt revealing his tattoo covered body- the first 40 minutes of his performance put a complete damper on the upcoming show- really set a bad tone with the parents.
I do not recommend this concert for young – impressionable girls- 14 or 15 year olds maybe- So sorry if you have already purchased tickets before reading reviews- I did the same thing and made a huge mistake- just skip the pre-show! The title of this concert should not have any reference to Hannah Montana- that is NOT what this is!

Miley has a nice voice was the base was way too loud, drowning her out. It was a complete waste of money. I would never go to her concert again. Also, there were a lot of young kids (5-7 yr old) there and her outfits were inappropriate for their age group.

  • Anonymous

I am feeling like a bad mom right now for bringing my 7 year old to this concert. I knew it wasn’t going to be like the Hannah concert, but I don’t think it was meant for anyone younger than 12. I’m sure that most of the sexual stuff I found offensive went over my daughter’s head, but I think she even felt uncomfortable during parts of the concert.
Miley didn’t really seem excited to be there – I think she said that this was her 25th concert of the tour – she acted more annoyed that happy to be there.
Also, the playset was not well organized. She asked everyone to get out of their seats for the Hoedown Throwdown – which we did. People were finally pumped up and then they cut the song short and soon after did a slow song. Poor planning.

Miley needs to remember who her fan base is , as parents we don’t expect a teen than has been a role model for our kids to come onstage showing to much cleavage, shorts much to short, her hand consonanly going up the inside of her thigh and pole dancing.
I can see how she got voted the Worst Celebrity Influence of the year 2009. I know for my child and several of the ones sitting around us at the concert this will be the last Miley show they will be seeing for a long time. I don’t understand how her parents not only allow this but encourage it. I guess money really does matter, and for her brothers band to open for her —-big mistake not for kids either.

I attended the Miley Cyrus concert in New Orleans on Oct 22 with my 7 year old daughter and we were completely disappointed. Beginning with the opening act featuring her older brother (Metro Station) and throughout Miley’s performance we were shocked to see the dramatic change in style and morals that Miley has shifted to. I understand her need to “mature” her style, although her fan base is still young girls who love her music and look to her as a role model. If she feels this direction is the way she wants to go as an artist….she should warn parents in advance that her concerts are no longer appropriate for little girls.

My 12 year old daughter and I both agreed that Miley was AMAZING but that Metro Station sucked. We both loved the variety of songs and feel that Miley can really put on a great live show. She’s one of the few performers that sounds even better in person than recorded. The sets, props and costumes were terrific and fun to see. I know there’s a lot of people disappointed that she’s not still acting like a 12 year old but I think she’s blooming very gracefully for an almost 17 year old. She’s already a gorgeous young woman and just a delight to watch. I can’t wait to see her continue to grow and mature into her craft!
Metro Station on the other hand was just horrible live and did not compliment the main show AT ALL. My daughter and I were extremely board and very happy when they were finally done.

Totally disappointed in the show — reminds me to ‘read the fine print’ next time — expensive mistake!! Okay – I get it — Miley WANTS to grow up — but please don’t hold us captive (and make us pay!) for you to do it! My daughter (10 years old) — loves what Miley stood for (she read her autobiography Miles to go) — apparantly she is going down a different path than she told us about. Sorry that millions of girls look up to you — I saw a lot of surprised moms and sad little girls that gave up Halloween – then had to learn that you wanted to prove a point – that you ‘aren’t that innocent’…ring a bell?

Miley Cyrus’ concert opener is her brother’s band, “Metro Station”. First of all the lyrics in Metro Station’s songs are not ones any child under 13 should be listening to. This is not a kid’s band. When Trace Cyrus first ran out onto the stage, his mumbling singing couldn’t be heard above the guitars, but he made sure he held the microphone right up to his mouth when he screamed the words, “I know you’re dying to take off your clothes” to an arena filled with mostly 4 yr. – 10 yr. old girls! Every parent around me was appalled and shocked. Then when he took off his shirt (even though he said he had been advised not to), we had enough of this wanna be, riding his sister’s coattails boy band. Miley, do yourself a favor and find an opener that is more kid friendly and has less shock value than Metro Station. Miley herself did a good job. Her voice sounded somewhat hoarse and she had trouble with her earpiece the entire concert. After each song, she repeated herself with the same line, “Thanks so much y’all”. That got old fast. Your fans want to see you dance Miley, so spend more time with choreography and less time bending over and shaking your hair in front of your face. Most important…as you descend on your final appearance, look up and smile at your audience, maybe even wave good bye. For most of these kids, it’s their first concert experience, make it one they’ll never forget!

omg, it was awsome!! totally worth it! miley was great on stage adn she sang really well, and there were many cool theatrical stuff going on!! the garden was packed with ppl! Great show.

come on just over an hour of performance? did you want to send the kids to bed early?my kids go to bed by ten or later the show ended too soon for them unfortunately were you tired or something litle hannah.

I was very disappointed by the concert. I had my 8 year old daughter there and was not at all impressed about some of the dance moves Miley was doing. Also her brother from Metro Station was very creepy and we were not impressed by his display of tatoos. My daughter even said she did not like it and it was very “gross”. I felt cheated from the Hannah Montana side and only got to see the Miley Cyrus side. I realize she is growing up but there were alot of young girls there that had come to see the Hannah Montana side also. If she still is doing the show then she should appeal to that group too. I believe it should have been stated that it was more of a teenage show then a pre-teen show like the last. If she does not want to be Hannah Montana anymore then perhaps she should not continue the show. I think they knew they would get the Hannah Montana followers to sell the tickets and shock the hell at them when they get there to see the other side of a teenage girl.

The entire thing was horrible. She has turned into a hard rock star. The clothing, or lack of, was totally inappropriate. The grinding on poles and boys was horrible. I can’t believe I spent $155.00 of my hard earned money for that!!!!!!!!! I have NO respect for her anymore – not even as Hannah Montanna

The MIley Cyrus concert was awful for young fans, which comprised the majority of people at the concert (and parents of course). Truly, Miley was sexually provocative, most the music was VERY hard core rock, including the opening act. She wore skimpy clothing – just not a good show for my child’s first concert. I expected more from Miley.

  • Anonymous

I was really disappointed with Miley in Lexington, KY. From the opening band (her brother’s band – Metro Station) to the skimpy dancer’s costumes to Miley wearing nothing longer than hot pants the entire evening, the show was not meant for the audience in attendance.

just needs to put on some more clothes but hell everyone will dress like that at one point.
i dont think miley will end up being a huge slut.
just a phase all of us teens go through
    ——–
I’m sure she wouldn’t dress like that for the red carpet or while hanging out with her friends. She would only wear those outfits on-stage.

The concert was ok. I was very disappointed that she didn’t sing some of her other more popular songs. My daughter and her friends were waiting to sing along with those songs and she never sung them. It seemed to be more headbaning than anything. The opeing band was very kid oreinted. I was very surprised to see the way they acted and the constand head banging she did. I wouldn’t speed the money again for her concert. Very disappointing!

    Very Impressive. Miley was marvelous…

SURPRISINGLY, I WAS NOT 2 HAPPY WITH LAST NIGHT’S MILEY CYRUS CONCERT. MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE HANNAH MONTANA FANS AS WELL. ON THE FLIPSIDE, THE WARDROBE WAS A LITTLE PROVOCATIVE AND SO WAS HER DANCING. THE SHIRTS WERE TOO ADULT FOR A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD (ON HER HANDS AND KNEES). LUCKILY, THERE WAS A CUTE SHIRT WITH HER IN FAIRY WINGS. THAT’S THE POINT, SHE DOESN’T WANT TO BE CUTE ANYMORE, SHE WANTS TO BE A GROWN UP, FAST, AND THIS SHOW PROVED IT. I AM SORRY TO SAY, “WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO SEE HER.” NEXT YEAR WOULD BE MORE SCARY, KNOWING SHE WILL BE SEVENTEEN. WATCH OUT BRITNEY SPEARS!

  • Anonymous

Technical difficulties, little interaction with the crowd, minimal buzz from the crowd. Not age appropriate for her audience.

  • Anonymous

The concert was incredible with many new songs and some great special
effects. Miley has grown up in this tour as compared to when she toured
with the Jonas Brothers. I can’t speak for all of the mom’s that were
there but Miley can definately keep the show exciting no matter how old
    her fans are.

  • Anonymous

I felt that the concert was aimed at the older crowd and not the younger kids who have been the back to her success. Clothes too reveiling and voice sounded strained. Opening act was to racy for the younger crowd. As a parent of 11.7, and 5 yrs olds this was not the type of concert I wanted them to see.

  • Anonymous

First of all, I feel if the performer is underage, the arena should not sell alcohol!! The majority of Miley’s fans are young (4-12). I couldn’t believe it was available, but also that the parents were purchasing it. Next, Metro Station was terrible. My 7yr old daughter was scared of him and was disgusted when he took his shirt off. Which I feel was VERY INAPPROPRIATE to do in front of such a YOUNG audience. And finally, I will not purchase Miley tickets again. If I purchase any, it will have to be Hannah Montana tickets. I would be in hopes of Disney holder her to higher standards. Again her performance was not geared toward her fan base. I understand she is getting older, but she will only be 17 next month. So untill she stops doing Hannah Montana completly, she needs to remember how many LITTLE EYES are on her. From a disappointed Mom.

This was a VERY inappropriate concert for the children that Miley has catered to for so long. It began with the opening act from her brother, Metro Station, singing about nakedness, and then taking his own shirt off in spite of his own admission from stage that promoters had asked him not to do so, while children hid their eyes. Dancers throughout were provacitive, in addition to the outfits worn. Miley’s neck must be in pain today from the number of times she jolted her neck around and tried to ‘play’ with her hair in a ‘sexy’ fashion. I absolutely HATE that i invested in this event thinking it would be fun for my children. I am embarrassed for Miley and can’t imagine how she must be struggling in her teens to ‘find’ herself ! Not at all a healthy role model for anyone. I would not have wanted my teenagers to have seen her either! I am cautioning everyone who may be have considered attending a Miley concert to not do so! In addition, I have talked with MANY other attendees who were equally disappointed, including a security guard who said he was embarrassed to see her moves. Finally, it was not until the “climb” that the audience participated in singing along, despite the numerous requests from stage from both Miley and Metro Station to stand and do so.

terrible – the sound was awful – bass overpowered everything. Daughter very disappointed

Miley is a talented entertainer. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert.

Last month I took my 9 year old daughter, her friend, and my 7 year old son to see the Jonus Bros. Excellent concert in all ways. Yesterday we went to see Miley Cyrus in San Jose. Her Hard-Rock brother was a surprise and might I add a real disappointment. I really didn’t need to see his tatoos plastered all over his chest, arms, and face. His “trick” of swinging his guitar around his neck, over & over, was boring, and can’t he think of another way to hold his mic without the”flip”? But, he and his co-screamer sure can make noise…and I do mean noise. C’mon Miley…you surley can find a better opening group, or not? I was sad for your lack of professional stage presence last night. You can fool the kids but I am a bit more seasoned to professional acts. We could not make out a word you sang because of the speaker system. Take away all the “flash” and what have you got? Not much, I thought. My daughter was excited to see you in person, but when asked about the sound, she too said it was almost imossible to hear your words, and isn’t that what the real message is suppose to be….the words blended with sound….not words drowned out by the sound? How long did you practice shaking you hair ever which way…yes it’s long Miley. And no encore…a first for my experience at concerts….even the concerts for my children when they were pre-school…but then again, while I told my children to wait for the encore, everyone started to leave..the vote as to what they wanted to see…..and it wasn’t another song. I hope you stick to your movies and the Hannah style which, as a parent, is more acceptable musical content with a positive message….maybe you just need to get a better sound system and spend more time singing to your fans and less fluff & smoke…..

The Miley Cyrus show was extremely well done. She is an outstanding entertainer. The special effects along with the choreography were finely tunes and didn’t miss a beat. Her costumes and her dancers were so fun to watch. Her song list was perfect. She’s a talent.

I brought 3 eight year olds to the Miley Cyrus concert and I was very disappointed. Miley seems to be trying very hard to change her image from the Disney star we all fell in love with to some hard rockin’ renegade. She spent most of the concert screaming lyrics that were barely audible. I guess I was expecting a more wholesome girl next door concert, but instead had to get through gyrating, tight shorts, hair flinging concert geared more for the 20 somethings.

  • Anonymous

I will start by saying that I brought my 4yr old daughter to see her idol Miley Cyrus. I was appalled that the opening act who introduced himself as her brother removed his shirt to reveal his tatto’s and pull on his nipple ring. I was offended by his actions as were the other parents I spoke to who brought their very young children to this event. I was upset with Miley’s provactive clothing and dancing. I feel a warning disclaimer should have been displayed before purchasing tickets. This was very age inappropriate concert for the amount of children in the audience-I somehow hope future ticket purchase’s will have a disclaimer warning clients ex. Venue no longer suitable for children- as most of her following has been young impressionable children. Her show should have been promoted as an adult based venue. I have personally decided to boycott all Miley Cyrus products, only due to the fact that I was not warned of show content. I would have given show a better overall rating if venue would had been promoted age appropriately.

Unfortunately Miley can’t stay the same, she has to grow if she wants a long career in music. She needs more than an 8 year old fanbase or she’ll get left behind by the next Disney “it” kid.
Personally I loved her more mature image, it wasn’t too bad.

SHE IS SHAPING UP TO BE THE HOTTEST LIVE ACT AROUND. SHE IS AMAZING AND HER BAND AND DANCERS ARE PERFECT.

Powerful vocals! Great presentation. Truely a star! Nice Job Miely.

The opening act was very bad and not at all appropriate for the her fan base. Further, Miley wore very risque’ clothing….a cross between sexy and trashy. Nothing like her Hannah Montana/Miley concert tour which we also saw and was very good. And she only was on stage for 1hour and 10 minutes. I don’t know what has happened to this Disney star….her parents/managers need to take a hard look. She appears to be following the Britney Spears route….very disappointing. We saw the Jonas Brothers concert in August and it was great!

Little girl .. big voice!!! Mylie, her band and the dancers put on an incredible show! Lots of energy, strong vocals and lots of talent.

    1. Ticketless-takes too long to get in, I prefer having my own ticket in my hand. I will avoid this type of concert.
    2. Miley is a talented young women, she can write, compose and sing. She did not need the attempts at being sexy, that will come naturally as she physically grows up. She screamed the first half because the “hard rock” music was why loud. then spent almost as much time changing her clothes. The costumes where pretty silly looking when they were not down right ridiculous, dosen’t her costume person know any other color than black?
I undertand the need to break from Disney/Hannah but it appeared she did not know who to be, it was all over the place. Tone is down, play your music and everyone will enjoy it. For now I will not go again to another concert, it very inappropriate for young girls including girls the age of Miley.

  • Anonymous

Miley seemed uncomfortable ,as she should have performing moves that were highly questionable for a girl her age and her targeted audience, 5 to 16 year olds. Even if she was older, this does not seem to be the real Miley. The new music seems disconnected and more like her brother and sister than her.

  • Anonymous

Miley is trying on to be a hard rocker! I cannot picture her like that. I still remember the sweet little girl from Hannah Montana. I guess she doesn’t need that image anymore since she is grown up now. She did not sing she just screamed. It was not appropriate for all the young kids there!

This was “Miley Cyrus Wonder World Tour”—not Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds—Hannah Montana is no where to be seen and is not supposed to be as this was NOT marketed by Disney and was titled “Miley Cyrus”. Do not expect Disney or her pretend character on that show. This is an almost 17 year old girl giving a concert. I took my 14 year old daughter and we loved it and thought it was appropriate and a great show. Good luck to Miley as she moves forward in her life!!

    ————————————–

THIS is what people should open their eyes and really see. You guys may think that Miley sucks or is trashy right now, attempting to mature too fast for her own good. But do realize that Miley is from a different world from us, she is from the la la land (hahas, quoting Demi), where growing up fast is part of the deal. People’s got to realize that she’s not going to be Hannah Montana forever, especially when it was just a fictional character, not a real person like Miley Cyrus is.

Those that hate on Miley and claim that she’s going to fade out in a few years, or go down the route Britney Spears/Lindsay Lohan took, you people are so wrong! Miley is unlike both of them, and neither is she going to end up a trainwreck, for i believe that she knows what’s best for herself and at the same time, there is no denying that she is a smart girl. No offense to Britney’s fan (i am one myself), i know Britney did great when she was at her peak and now she is recovering very well and back on top of the entertainment food chain. Still waiting for Lindsay to wake up though.

People who are judging her talent and performances here are actually all those who are probably below the age of 16, barely legal and still in middle school. On the other hand, those people from the industry clearly see something in Miley that haters refuse to see, and that is Miley is talented. Why else would Timbaland, Dolly Parton and John Travolta and more tell the world that Miley is a special kid and she will become a superstar in the future?

So haters, just give it up already. But if you guys insist on not leading a life and instead keeps going on the internet to hate on other people (not just Miley, but Selena, Demi, JB and more…), then you are just a sad excuse for an intelligent human being. So… think before you type and hit the ‘submit comment’ button.

P.S., will that irritating anonymous idiot who keep posting fake reviews just get the hell away from this site. It’s irritating. We understand that you don’t like her, too bad that we love her and we don’t care what you think, so stfu already and scram.

hmm she might be on her period, she is holding her stomach like it hurts like a bitch.anyways yeah she is talented and dont get me wrong,i like her show and music, but i think she is just a tid bit overrated.like there is plenty of poeple out there who are little better than her and have carisma and they are barley making it to were they wanna be,and dont bitch me out,im just saying like she is talented, but she is no micheal jackson.

I took my 1 grandchild and her friend to this concert and I was severly disappointed by Miley Cyrus. Compared to her concert 2 years ago, she has grew to a point that would not be appropriate for young girls to watch. I would not attend another one of her concerts or recommend her to my friends. The performance was very poor and unsatisfying. If i had it my way, i would like a refund. Although my girls loved her music, her appearance was not in the best interest of my girls.

Miley Cyrus is a pretty bad live singer. She only sang 5 songs that my 9 year old knew. She seemed like she was going through the motions. She didn’t interact with the crowd or seem to be having a good time. I liked her when she played Hannah as a good role model now it seemed like all she was teaching my daughter was to flip her hair around. It seemed like she used her Hannah fans to further her Miley career. If I had known it she was going to play her more “mature” music- we probably would have skipped the show. I think my 15 year old enjoyed it more than the rest of us. Good luck to Miley. I hope she doesn’t loose any fans.

The opening act Metro Station was just horrible. Miley Cyrus’ concert was not what I paid for. Her show was intended for a different type of audience. Didn’t someone remember to tell her the crowd was filled with 10 – 12 years old and their parents. Although my kids thought it was great and I haven’t the heart to tell them my true perspective her package was targeted to an older crowd. One that was interested in provocative customes and dance.

Miley’s show was amazing once it got started. She played 21 songs total and the concert lasted just under 2 hours. She had a lot of energy, played to the audience, fun wardrobe, great choreograph with all the dancers, and the digital graphics made the show “pop”. She had some fun surprises with Fly on the Wall and I Love Rock & Roll ~ Great Show.

Metro Station opened for Miley. The singer, Cyrus, felt it is appropriate to remove his shirt during the concert to a bunch of 5-12 year old girls…come on (that alone would make me not go back) His lecture that went with removing his shirt…I was told not to take off my shirt but this is me and we should accept people. My children do not need to be taught life lessons by some entertainer. JUST SING and Leave your shirt on
The speakers blocked the TV monitors so anyone not on ground level or slightly above had an obstructed view of the monitors. The venue was freezing cold, everyone around us was shivering, hardly fun. I thought Mily would sing longer than 1 hour and 20 minutes. She did not do several of the songs she is known for, which was disappointing. Overall, not worth the $300 for tickets, $145 for t-shits and $40 for concessions. Several parents were grumbling as they left the concert.

I took my 5 year old to this concert which was a big mistake. I thought she would sing more music from her movie. Not sure what all the head banging and risque dancing was about but it was totally inappropriate for the audience at this event. The opening act was her brother – Terrible… He took his shirt off and so everyone could see his nasty tatood body. I would be embarrassed if this was my brother. My child hid her face and chose not to look. Would not attend another Miley Cyrus concert.. There was no Hannah Montana to be found at this concert.

The intro gorup was MetroStation, a heavy-metal rock band; Miley’s brother is the lead singer which is, I assume, why they were the opening act. While it was nice of the event planners to give Miley’s brother the job they, unfortunately, forgot to take into account that the audience was primarly VERY YOUNG girls. The only words I could understand in the first song were “take your clothes off” … hello, totally NOT APPROPRIATE for this audience! As for Miley, another disapointment. We knew going in that it would NOT be a Hannah Montana show and that was ok. Unfortunately, what we didn’t realize is that it wasn’t the Miley we’re familiar with either. A number of the songs were songs we’d never heard before, and they were very rock and roll. Might have been ok except that even most of the songs my girls knew were “rocked up” and not like on her CD’s. Her clothes were skimpy and she spent a lot of time bent over and flapping her hair around (hello Miley… it really is ok to stand up and sing so that the audience can actually see your face!) The acoustics at HP aren’t great, although I have seen some performers whose sound people have been able to overcome that obstacle; Miley’s sound people, unfortunately, fell down on the job. The reverberation throughout the Pavilian were lousy and many of the kids around me had their fingers in their ears. Miley’s “handlers” need to either make her shows more appropriate for the type of audience she draws or they need to start marketing her to an older crowd and make it clear in the advertisements that she is NOT putting on a kid show. All-in-all a disappointment although, unlike a number of other people there, I managed to snag tickets for only $25/each so at least I wasn’t out a lot of money (especially since I stayed out of the very long lines at the souvenir booths … $40 for a T-shirt is ridiculous!)

Wow what a show. She is such a great performer and put on a fantastic show. For 17 she can sure get the crowd on their feet. I was reluctantly attending in order to take my daughter but I would go again in a second!

I brought my young daughter to this show because she loves Hannah Montana but I was very upset with the amount of adult gestures and outfits that she used during her performance. Also it was supposed to be “best of both worlds tour” and my daughter only knew maybe three songs that were sung from the hannah side as she does not listen to the radio much so she did not know any of the Miley songs and that is what most of the concert was. I felt bad for my daughter. It is to bad that she is going in this direction as she is a very talented young lady and it seems that she is going down the road of previous pop stars that had made bad choices in there carrer and sorta fell apart.

For a late teen and early twenties i am sure this would have been a great concert but for hannah montana fans this was completely inappropriate. Between miley rubbing her hands ALL over herself , bending down with legs wide open, grinding on desks and on top of the microphone stand there was hardly a second i wasn’t wishing my daughter wasn’t watching this. My daughter is six years old and a huge hannah fan she also has one of the “miley” cds and loves it. this was suppose to be Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus ” the best of both worlds” tour well instead we got the miley cyrus rated R concert. there should be age restrictions on this show!!! we were very disappointed

Although Miley Cyrus is a teenager, her fan base and audience is quite a bit younger. She should not forget who got her where she is today and it is not the current teenagers – they are over her and now I know why. Her show should have been rated so that parents would have known this was not the place for young children. Advice to parents – if your child is under 15 years old – STAY HOME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.

we have been watching Hannah Montana for years now with out son and when Hannah came to New Orleans last year we felt he was to young to attend so this year we thought it would be a great chance for him to a person he really likes in person. SO after 2.5 hours of waiting in line for the PAPERLESS TICKETS we finally got to the Miley Cyrus show my lil man was so excited when Miley finally came out at 8 he was bouncing off his seat but the problem was he didn’t know any of the songs and the dancing and sexual moves were not something you would want a small child to see. I understand that Miley must grow up but DANG do it slowly and appropetly. I will never go back to a Miley/Hannah concert again.

The event was somewhat of a disappointment . The roughly 10 popular Miley songs that were performed were enjoyed by my 10 year daughter and her friend. She performed a handful of song that were not well known and they were okay. Based on the primary age of the crowd, mostly under 14, I think including some of her popular Hannah songs would have been a better fit for the crowd attending. My daughter is a huge fan Miley/Hannah fan and was very excited to go to this concert after watching the concert movie. During and after the concert I didn’t get the feeling that her expectations were met (okay concert – not awesome). Based on the amount of hit songs that Miley/Hannah have her performance at the concert was somewhat short – about 1 1/2 hours with various breaks throughout her performance. If you’re planning to take your younger childern to this event they may be somewhat disappointed, since the it appears to be targeted towards an older audience.

If you’re going to this show because your daughter is a Hannah Montana fan, DON’T go! Miley is clearly trying to show the world that she’s “all grown up” with her clothes and dance moves.

My daughter loves Miley and I thought she was a great role model. After watching her and Metro Station perform It makes me think more about my daughter watching her. They knew the age group that would be there. Singing songs about touching and getting high is not something I want my 3 yr old to hear. If i had known what they would be like we would not have been there. Miley took her dancing too far and the clothes as well. I think that she went on too late for the children that were there. Most kids didn;t even recognize most of the songs she sang. I think she needs to step back and look at the fans that she has right now.The younger children are what makes her all her money anyway. Overall I was a dissapointed parent.

I was NOT expecting the trashy outfits & skanky dance moves when I bought tickets for my 8 year old daughter to attend the Miley Cyrus concert. I am guessing as she grows up she’s not so Disney anymore. I was just not happy having my 8 year old daughter look up to Miley while she was running around the stage looking like a young version of Madonna. The “pole dancing” continued but included tubes from the ceiling instead of an actual pole.

  • devilgrins

Now that is a really long comment, but very relevant. Miley is certainly growing, and people have got to accept that. If they are still stuck in the Best of Both Worlds era, well, i feel so sorry for them ;(

Music was WAY too loud and my almost 9 year old daughter cried. I had to take her home after the 5th song. I talked to others moms in the hallway who said the same thing. It was way too loud. I can’t say I was upset about my daughter wanting to leave- it was the worst concert I had ever heard. Miley should take some advise from Taylor Swift- who I saw perform at the Target Center just over two weeks ago. Miley has a long way to go if she hopes to stick around for the long haul.

The opening band unfortunately was sign how the evening was going to be. Metro Station was horrible and a bad choice to open for Miley. They were not appropriate for the age of the audience. My girls thought they were nasty!!! Shirtless and tattoos, please this was inappropriate. They would have been boo’d if they hadn’t mentioned the fact that he was Miley’s brother. and he did mention it quite a bit.
Miley was a big disappointment for the girls that were there aged 1-12. I guess she doesn’t want to sing those Disney songs any longer. But she should remember what made her popular. We left disappointed only having heard 3 songs that she is known for.
And please to spend 10 minutes promoting a movie that is probably inappropriate and rated for an age group older than the audience. Waste of time and money. so glad we didn’t spend the big money for floor seats.

I took my nine year old daughter and my friend took her six year old. I thought Miley was way underdressed and wore inappropriate clothing that made her look like she was trying to get attention from boys. The body language was all attitude and I do not want my daughter idolizing her. I don’t think she realized the ages of her fans. If I knew then what I know now my daughter would not have gone to the show.

I took my 7 years old grandaughter to see Miley and was very dissapointed, she came out screaming and the band was so loud you couldn’t hear her sing. You could feel the base thru the cement floor. Some of her moves were not approprate for the little children that were there. There should be some sort of warning not for children under 13 years of age, as that seemed to be the majority last night under the age of 13 years old. I thought she was suppose to be a good role model for our kids, after last night we will be looking for a new role model,,,,sorry Miley you did us wrong!

First and foremost Miley Cyrus is not a very good role model. She could of dressed a little more appropriate and made herself look a llttle nicer since there were young kids there. If not then their should of been an age requirement.

    Cyrus: Better than Expected

My four daughters dragged me to this show. I knew the girls would love the show, but I had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at her performance.

THE SHOW WAS EXTREMELY FUN AND APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES!! THIS WAS MY 7YR OLD AND 8YR OLD FIRST CONCERT AND THEY HAD A BLAST. WELL OUR WHOLE FAMILY HAD A BLAST.. THE DANCERS WERE AWESOME MILEY’S PERFORMANCE ALL IN GENERAL WAS AWESOME!!

I feel it should have been clear that this was not a young kid friendly concert. Miley’s fan base is from the “young” kids… and I took my 9 year old. My 9 year old stated that she danced sexy and she was dressed sexy. If you can see her bra most of the time I feel that is inappropriate. I felt this was so inappropriate that I left early. Miley should realize she is a role model for all of the young girls that were in the audience and you could not see she thought of them at all! It was all about herself! The T-Shirts were over priced at $35 which I did purchase one anyways for my daughter. If this wasn’t meant for kids then why were there posters, children’s shirts, light up items and other items to attract the kids… I am very upset that I spent $97.50 x2 (I believe before the add on) each ticket to be dissappointed in how I feel she came across for the kids to see. We drove 4 hours to see her due to I couldn’t get off for the Portland show because of work. We live in Brownsville, OR 97327

Miley puts on a great show. Not just for the kids, even the parents were rocking out!

We took our 6 year old daughter to see miley, and she opened in a risque outfit and was singing a twenty year old song. I wish that we would have known that she was going to go from a teen performer to an adult show overnight and I wouldn’t have spent the money for main floor seats, Miley spent more time looking at herself on the screens than she did the audience. and she looked like she was sick of performing for young kids. I was really diasppointed for all the young girls. Most of the night the audience was standing around not impressed with th eshow and you could tell that Miley was tired of trying to impress.

I took my daughter to the concert last night in Tacoma and was very upset with the entire production… First of all, she did not start ontime. Her song choices were weak, the attire was poor taste, and the seating was aweful… For the amount I spent, I was expecting more. Miley, you need to slow down and enjoy life rather than $$$$$.

  • Anonymous

I was very disappointed in the way Miley dressed and acted during the concert. I felt sorry for Mom’s who had young girls there and were disappointed. It was definitely not a little kids concert. I think the promotion should have indicated that it was going to be different from her first concert. Obviously, Miley is trying really hard to show that she is not a young girl anymore. I think she is going about it the wrong way. It is pretty discouraging because my daughter really looks up to her and honestly I don’t think she is being a good role model.

  • Anonymous

I just don’t feel the show was appropriate for very young kids. I didn’t appreciate Miley’s brother of Metro Station taking his shirt off in front of my young granddaughters at all. I think Miley has passed the young innocent persona. Some of the songs she performed were more “Hard Rock” than pop. My granddaughters will have to quite a bit older before they will be allowed to attend another concert. I can’t believe Disney isn’t all over this!!

  • Anonymous

Very disappointing concert. She sang very little of the Hannah Montana songs that made her famous and had some very grow up dance moves. It a shame that she might not be role model for our kids as we have so few left.

  • Anonymous

it lacked the authenticity of what makes Miley Cyrus so appealing. She is relevant, approachable, appeals to girls of all ages – she did not show us any of that last night. I expected her to joke around and talk to the fans – she barely spoke a word and when she did – it wasn’t particularly compelling. From a musicality perspective – she screamed alot rather than sang.

  • Anonymous

I was terribly disappointed in the Miley Cyrus concert last night in Dallas. I think she has completely abandoned her fans! The audience was full of small girls – ages 4 – 14 and their positive roll model was stomping up and down the stage in shorts. She offered very little interaction with the crowd. Often had her head dangling down to the ground while she was singing leaving us wondering if she really was singing? What happened to the tempo of the music? I barely recognized the songs! What has been a great run of hits was turned into loud, guitar banging music. The dancers and Miley appeared to be on the verge of “gothic” attire. An even bigger disappointment was “Big Brother” Trace – what was that about? He was a complete disconnect! Why the lecture about piercings and tattoos and race? He is a mess and definitely not a roll model.

I am not an old fuddy duddy…I have attended many concerts with my kids, but this one was very dissappointing. It was way too loud, the Miley Cyrus we thought we would see was replaced by a Brittney Spears wanna be, (I had my 7 year old and the pelvic thrust were over the top) and the over all atmosphere just kind of…well a bummer. So there ya go.

  • Anonymous

She used the giant video screens above the stage to show a trailer for her upcoming film… during the middle of the concert. You already know about her weak voice & bubble-gum pop so enough said.

  • Anonymous

I wish I had reviewed this concert better. Most of the audience was parents and children 12 and under. The content of this concert was way more mature. Metro Station was terrible and when Trace took his shirt off it was pretty sick! My daughter is turning 9 and loves Hannah Montana/Miley. This was her first concert and for her birthday and I feel she got ripped off. Miley is obviously trying to break away from Disney and her Hannah Montana character. I think alot of parents would have appreciated that information before we took our young children to see her.

  • Anonymous

I have to say I was totally surprised by her performance. She has lots of energy and her voice is incredible!! I was amazed that her set was continually changing. She was amazing and I would definately go again.

  • Anonymous

The Lexington Herald review said it well. Miley Cyyrus fan base consists of 7 – 10 year old prepubescent girls. Those around me screamed on cue. But their puzzled looks when first her Mick Jagger wannabe bro showed his tattooed torso and then little sis strutted her stuff in too skimpy costumes. The 18,000 paid their $75 to see Hannah Montana and left wondering why Miley does not entertain her fans but chooses to go her rocking way about ten years early.

  • Anonymous

This concert had some neat effects like the frog and fly on the wall, the motorcycle and the breaking out of the ice but that was all it had. It was so LOUD!!! She did not sound like her cd’s. She just screamed on most of the songs. Metor Station was Loud rock n roll that you could not understand. Next time the producers are right to have the lead singer leave his shirt on my girls said that was so disgusting!! The Hannah role model is gone and I saw a lot of Hannah fans there and not Miley fans. Her fan based has changed to a older crowd not young innocent girls. They were so dissapointed that her hoedown song was so short! My girls learned how not to grow up and act is what they told me. Miley is still very young and I hate to see her go down that hard path in Hollywood! That will be our last Miley concert for sure!!!! This was NO Hannah tour for sure it was all Miley!!!! Not the best of both worlds for sure.

  • Anonymous

This concert was not what I expected. Miley was more like Britney and that is NOT a compliment. This was a birthday gift for our 10 year old daughter after reading it was appropriate for 6 & 7 year olds. I was shocked at the dance moves and lack of outfits she wore. Miley seemed as though she didn’t know there were children in the audience, not teenagers. We heard Metro Station rock out to a crowd that wasn’t sure what was going on. Then we waited for 30 minutes for Miley to appear rank and sleazy. We left after her 4th or 5th song. Disappointed. This was nothing like she portrayed in her movie. I thought she was going to give a “sugery sweet performance”. I wish we hadn’t paid so much for those tickets. The only compliment I can give her is she has pretty hair.

  • Anonymous

I was disappointed and a bit disturbed by Miley’s appearance in her revealing attire and hip thrusting dance. Never was there a reference to Hanna Montana, such as her blonde wig. I understand Miley is personally growing up and finding herself, but the concert was promoted as a Hanna Montana and Miley Cyrus concert, but the ephasis was clearly put on herself as Miley. Her brother’s band as the opening act was also relatively innappropriate for many in attendance.

  • Anonymous

i take it all back about believing miley cyrus was a manufactured pop music
sensation from the disney marketing machine. she put on an excellent show. i recommend this tour highly.

  • Anonymous

45 minutes of the opening act with Metro Station which is a rock band by her brother Trey.
In his words ” Miley had to fight for us to be on her tour because she loves our music. We did not hire writers, we wrote our songs ourselves from our hearts. With his shirt off and his body covered with tatoos “it does not matter if your white or black, tatoed or pierced, you need to look passed that and look at the heart.
My daughter is 7 years old and did not understand or enjoyed Trace’s look or his lessions on life. He said at least 4 times do you want to see Miley then would say for my next song??

  • Anonymous

Does Miley Cyrus not realize 99% of her viewing audience is under 10? I did not spend this money to take my twin daughters to a head-banging, leather-wearing rock and roll show. She sang 3 songs my girls recognized. Nothing Hannah Montana, no costume, no wig, nothing. I understand she wants to grow up, but dry-humping male dancers and spreading her legs wide open for cameras is inexcusable for a 15 year old.

  • Anonymous

The performance was great! Miley was so ON! Loved the back-up dancers, acrobatics, and all the other surprise gimicks!

  • Anonymous

I cannot believe a young girl is so talented, she was great. I went there to be with my two little girls with no expectations of enjoying the concert. I walked away very amazed and liked her variation in music styles. It was a true artist at her best. What an amazing young woman. I plan on going back next year.

  • SamiJacRaph

i have to admit that her outfits are a little sluty but i really like miley cyrus!!!!!!

  • Anonymous

I was extremely diappointed in the whole concert. We had the impression that it was going to be the Miley Cyrus that was portrayed in her latest movie. Instead we saw a Miley that was trying to put on a show like “Britney Spears”. This is not the role model that we want for our 8 year old girls. If this is the image that Miley is wanting to give we will no longer support her music or concerts. We were all very upset to spend that much money and see a Miley that we had never seen before. We should have been informed upfront.

  • Anonymous

My 8 year old said she will never see Miley Cyrus in concert again! That is her idol and she was so disappointed and upset that she never wants to go back even if it is a Miley/Hannah concert. She did not like the opening act either, she said “her brother is disgusting and his music sucks!” She also did not understand why Miley kept singing to her feet. I didn’t get that either, it was almost as if she could not sing unless she was completely bent over and she was straining to sing. We could see the whole stage from where we were because we were so high, but we couldn’t see any of the screens for details because they were all below the lights and speakers which were blocking our view. The music was louder than all of the singers so it was next to impossible to hear what was being sung. I thought it would get better when Miley came out because it usually gets better when the headliner comes out, but nothing changed in the music or singing quality. With the prices being charged for the tickets, and the prices being charged for the merchandise, you would think the overall experience would have been better than it was. I also thought, along with my 8 year old, that it was very inappropriate for the older bother to sing some of the songs he sang as well as take off his shirt. Both were inappropriate for Miley’s following, her followers are young girls under the age of learning about sex and watching boys take their clothes off. Both Miley and her brother should know that and know that it is inappropriate to do that at one of her concerts. Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that most people associate her with Disney and are expecting more family oriented, respectful things to come from her. I understand we did not attend a Hannah Montana concert, my 8 year old also understands that, but we were both very disappointed with what we got after looking forward to going for so long. The Cheetah Girls concert we went to was much better.

  • Anonymous

The concert was not at all appropriate for Miley Cyrus’s younger viewing audience. Dancing was very inappropriate, especially the “pole dancing” on the ropes. Cyrus’s attire was too short at all times, if she has to pull her shorts down that many times, then they are too short. I was appalled to know that I took my 7 year old daughter and spent almost $200 dollars on just tickets for her to experience that type of behavior from her Disney Channel idol.

  • Anonymous

This was a disappointment to me as a Mom. My girls (ages 8 and 6) really liked it but with lots of questions after the show. For example: Why did Miley wear shorts that look like underwear? Why did Miley look down most of the show? Why did Miley’s voice sound so different? Why did Miley’s brother have tattoos all over his body? The set was not very good, they used construction type scaffolding for alot of the show and a luggage trolley (probably borrowed from a local hotel). They saved lot of money using such cheap props. The costume changes after almost every song took time away from when she should have been singing. Mileys brother is a disgrace! His tattoos and his screaming instead of singing were just shocking for such a young audience! Her marketing of her Walmart clothing line and her upcoming movie were annoying too. However, the backup dancers were really good and were much better than Miley.

I was blown away by her charisma and her powerful voice. The stage production was great too

  • Anonymous

I was totally blown away. I went for my daughter, but left a huge fan. Her rocker style is more up my alley than teen pop. I can’t wait for the future and what her amazing talent will bring us. She brings such charisma to the stage. I love the way she interacts with her band members. You can tell they are her family and not just the people she pays.

she is forgetting who her target audience is…7-12 year old girls. She paraded her “creepy” so-called brother on stage from metro station, to her adorning fans-he has got a A+ for ultra-creep. He doesn’t sing, but shouts, and cares more about his “shirt” of tatoos, then his music or audience. Poor choice for Miley to choose her brother to open,a nd also sing with her-he was torture to listen too, and I think completley scared my little gitls.
Miley’s choice of wardrobe was completley unappropriate for her audience, since when do her parents let her wear “nothing”, what a horrible example she was too all these little girls, who look up to her a positive role model. We will NEVER see Miley in concert again, unless she can make better choices.

  • Anonymous

First of all, I am somewhat of a liberal, young 35 year old mother of a Miley Cyrus loving 8 year old daughter. What was unexpected and unnecessary was when Manhattan Sound came out and told everyone to stand, or leave if they didn’t want to stand. He has no right to say that. He said that everyone at this concert needs to be standing. If they’re not standing, this is not the concert for them and they need to leave. Nor, did we care to hear his thoughtless opinions on taking his shirt off and having tattoos. We didn’t care! We weren’t there to see him. We tolerated him until Miley came out. Another sour moment was when Trace told everyone to take off their tops! How many parents enjoyed hearing that being hollered, while their impressionable, young daughters were there?…None.

I have to admit that even though I’m not in the target demo, I liked Miley’s concert. And I can top the above complaints. Remember when Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” came out on the radio, forcing some fathers to answer the question, “Dad, what’s a virgin?” Now, THAT, was rough.

does anyone else miss the old miley cyrus when she was 13 and cute?

A little shocked at the dancing and “risky” clothes. It’s clear she’s trying to break out from the “Hannah Montana” role. Do not recommend for young girls ages 13 and under!!!!

Happily taking my 9 yr old & her friend we got to the concert early to catch a bit of Metro Station & find our seats early. We had fun texting the sign they have and Miley sent messages, too. Concert started & Miley came up from the stage in a block of ice…pounded through it & started singing. That was soo cool, but that’s as cool as it got. Miley seemed tired and played with her hair throughout the concert. She seemed to have private jokes with her dancers and seemed to be elsewhere and not putting her all into her performance. The crowd sat, only to get up to dance when Miley told us to. The staging was so over rehearsed & boring. At one one point Miley sat on a motorcycle and drove on air on top of the audience singing a bad version of Joan Jett’s “I love rock n roll”. Most boring concert ever!! The kids agree..they were not impressed!

    Miley was Magical. Excellent entertainer!!

Knowing that she is a role model to many preteen girls and teenagers, Miley’s concert was much, much, much too grown-up for my taste. From the clothes she wore to the moves she made on the stage – all were totally inappropriate for her age audience.
My daughters didn’t even enjoy the concert at all.
I am very disappointed in Miley and the image she is now portraying. I will never bring my children to another concert of hers.

    Cyrus was worth seeing.

Miley was great with the audeince always smiling and winking at them with a few times of shaking the audeinces hands. She focused on the whole arena.

  • Anonymous

I attended the event with four children ages 7-10 and another parent. Both the other parent and I were very unpleasantly surprised by what we saw. Miley has had quite a transformation! She no longer portrays the innocent girl next door role model for girls, but has become a teenage madonna from the 80’s or brittney spears of the 90’s. She most definitely does not portray what I would like for my girls to look up to as a role model, and her brother in the opening act removing his shirt was a little much for the elementary school aged crowd in attendance. I will be steering my kids away from her new image in the future.

  • Anonymous

As a father accompanying my daughter to the concert, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I walked away impressed and had a good time. The mixture of dancing, video screens, aerial lifts and song selection was very well done.

  • Anonymous

Though Miley Cyrus has a great voice and wonderful stage performance she is no longer focusing on the age group that made her famous. There were plenty of tweens and younger in the auidience and Miley’s dress and body languague was certainly not appropriate for this group. I was not expecting not expecting to see a scantily clad 16 year old gyrating in such a provocative and sexual manner. Highly inappropriate for young girls and clearly no longer a role model.

Unfortunately this event was the most disappointing concert I’ve ever been to. With the confusion and mess with ticketless tickets, friends of ours never made it inside to see the show with their 6 year old daughter. Also, the staff at the Sprint Center were rude. What people needed to remember Saturday evening was that this was a kids event – not an adult event and pushing (literally) little kids out of the isle back to their seats was completely inappropriate. I’m not sure we will ever go to a show at the Sprint Center again. Miley is a good performer, however she also needed to remember the age of her audience. Her clothes and dances were inappropriate for younger ages.

  • Anonymous

This was the first paperless event that I have been to and would never do another one it was a MESS… The Miley set was very short for the price of the tickets maybe an hour long and the outfits and dance moves were a little to provocative for my 8 year old niece.

The overall concert was great. Miley had a great voice voice and put on a fantastic show. She’s really come a long way since she started performing. I’d have to say it’s like “She’s all grown up”.

I’ve never been to a concert before and this was the best experience ever!!! Metro Station was really good live and had good vocals. But Miley was AMAZING! I’ve loved her from the beginning, from the first episode of Hannah Montana. I can’t wait for her next tour!!!! I had the time of my life. Her costumes were amazing, her voice was really talented, the backup dancers were fun to watch and the props were amazing!

Miley is quite the entertainer. We especially liked the dancers and the consistently changing backdrops. These kept our attention. Our favorite part was the motorcycle flying above the crowd.

Opening act-her brothers band-was not a show for little girls! His songs talked about sex and taking your clothes off which he did. Then his sister show lasted probably less than hour or so.She was not very friendly or talkative with her audience. Then the price I paid for tickets which was high up and behind stage. Then the price of T-shirts??!!! The paperless show worked out good.Sprint Center is a great place to hold concerts and other things if you pick the right event to attend!!!!

For a girl who got her fame from playing Hannah Montana, I thought her new look was very unappropriate for all the little kids that came to see her. The 3 13 year olds I brought to the concert felt the same way. Miley is proud of her legs all the way up as far as she can show them off. I was not impressed but I am sure the Dad’s that were forced to go enjoyed it. She spent more time changing clothes than singing. The tickets were expensive but we only had Miley on stage for 1 hour. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I brought my 8 year old daughter here for her birthday and was very dissappointed in the outfit choices that Miley and her “crew” wore. I would think if your target audience is girls 5-13 you wouldn’t choose clothes and dance routines that resemble a strip club. With the economy the way it is today this was my childs only gift and now i am a little ashamed that this is what i gave her to remember her 9th birthday. We will not be attending another Miley event in the future.

Not pleased with her performance. She is a young teenager and most of her fan base is young girls and tweens and her performance was not appropriate for them. Her performance should have been for older teens & young people, but that is not who is buying tickets to her show at this time.

Took my 5 year old daughter, who loves Hannah Montana’s CDs. She knows every word to them, but it was amazing that Miley only played three of those songs the whole night. I really thought since 50% of her audience is between 4 and 10 years old and adores Hannah that she would spend at least 30 minutes of her show being Hannah Montana. She advertised on her website that the show would include Hannah, Miley and Metro Station. Needless to say, she needs to leave out Hannah on the advertisement, but then if she does that, her following wouldn’t probably be as big. Anyway, Miley did a really good job performing, but if she is through with the Hannah Montana image, then she needs to let the public know this, because children 4-10 years of age don’t need to be going to a Miley Cyrus concert.

Miley Cyrus – Singing was better than expected. Performance was theatrical and kept your interest.

  • Anonymous

This show was not appropriate for young girls. It would be ok for older teenage girls – not little girls. She dressed too provacative and her dance moves were too provacative. For some reason she seemed to like to touch and rub on her breasts alot. Would not recommend this show. WAY TOO OVER PRICED…

The special effects/stunts were great, but overall, I was disappointed as I ‘watched it through my 7 year old’s eyes’. My experience w/ Miley has only been through watching Hannah Montana on Disney channel and Hannah Montana the Movie. My daughter adores her, and it’s evident looking around her room, and at her wardrobe.
I felt that the performance was not geared to the younger girls that have fallen in love with Miley / Hannah. Some of the dress and dancing moves were inappropriate for a ‘family’ audience, as were some of the songs…esp. the opening band (things said by older brother Cyrus, shirtless to display tatoos all over, etc. Needless to say, my daughter will have to wait and catch up with Miley when she has had several more birthdays…sad, but it’s clear that Miley/Hannah as a role model for the younger generation has a new age group in mind. It’s obvious that her target age has shifted. The influence that performers/actors have is phenominal, and so is the discretion that parents have to use these days. I want my daughter to hang onto her innocence as long as humanly possible.
Also…I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my time, mostly country/western, and I think the tshirts and other souvineers were outrageously priced….$35 for a cotton tee…ridiculous. We paid about $59+ for each ticket, but the seats were terrible…even at that price. I felt like I was not part of the ‘crowd’, just hanging out around the back side. The big screens were nice, except for the fact that the lights ran across the top half of whatever was showing…usually a face. The inside of the center ‘pit’ could be seen, so it lost its effect. I’ve paid less to watch concerts in the AT&T Center during the rodeos, and felt more invited to the performance. Truely a once in a lifetime experience.

  • Anonymous

First off, our seats were terrible. Floor F, last row – couldn’t see a thing without standing and they wouldn’t let kids stand on the seats, so we pretty much hung out on the stairwell when we wanted to see. The floorplan diagram must have been inverted, because I expected to be on the center isle and ended up on the side aisle.
Anyway, Miley was okay, but there wasn’t any pizzazz. My 11 year old daughter didn’t care for her costumes (most of which were tight, short shorts) and the dynamite choreography that accompanied the 2007 show (Disney production) was sorely missing. Miley mostly threw her hair round and round; it’s amazing she didn’t get whiplash. While there were plenty of backup dancers, Miley didn’t dance the way she did in 2007. She just stomped, strutted and grinded around, leaning over a lot to belt out lyrics. We really missed the 2007 production numbers.
The opening act was extremely subdued. Trace Cyrus tried to get the audience pumped, but you can’t order people to stand and dance. You need to inspire them to do so. Miley had more luck than her brother, but not a lot. At one point, I looked around the packed house and realized that everybody was still, standing or sitting, but not bopping around the way they did in 2007 for the Best of Both Worlds concert. The Hannah magic was gone and it wasn’t replaced by Miley magic. The worst number of the evening was when Miley asked the audience to yell for her brother to join her. There was very little yelling, yet Trace was quick to return to the stage.

Who’s Hannah? Apparently Miley’s parent’s have lost control of her. Certainly of her career. Costume and dance moves were very suggestive and not suitable for children. The brother was totally inappropriate and his appearance repulsive. I fear she’s headed down the same path as Brittany Spears. Wish Miley would have stayed at home and sent Hannah Montana — where was she? Very sad.

  • Anonymous

.. As a mother of a pre teen who is an advid Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana fan I was shocked by the rather risque outfits Miley wore and the (dance)moves that she performed were not what I think is appropriate for a young child or pre teen should see.

  • Anonymous

I have 2 daughters and we purchased tickets for my youngest birthday (8). I was very disappointed because I thought it would be a concert aimed at their age group 8-10 year old. This concert was aimed for the tweens and up age group. Her dancing was a bit seductive along with her clothing.
The opening act, Metro Station, her brother’s band was a bit to heavy on the heavy metal. Trace ended up taking his shirt off during his performance.
Miley is definatly acting more like a 16 year old now than Hannah Montana. There were not any Hannah Montana songs sung only the new Miley Cyrus songs and some remakes of older rock and roll songs. Would not have been a bad concert for teenagers but considering these girls look up to Hannah Montana and I feel the were let down.

I felt Miley’s outfits were inappropritate for the age of the audience that attended. Miley’s music has become “hard rock” and too much “head banging”. I can not watch her shake her head anymore!!!!!!! She lacked connection with her fans. She was “cold” and unpersonable. She appeared like she was not having a good time and really did not care if she was there. Her dancing was “crued”. I would not have taken my daughter to the concert if I knew the negative influence and behavior Miley was going to display. I also would not have surrported her and bought a $35.00 shirt!!!!!!!! I do not want my daughter wearing the shirt and supporting Miley’s music.

  • Anonymous

So I thought it would be just another “kid concert” but she actually surprised me with how she’s grown up and changing her style. Was very fun!

  • Danaaa

Emily Ford, can I help? Either way, I still can’t wait for my concert, 3 more weeks!

  • Anonymous

Let me say this first. If I saw one more person shake their head upside down, i was going to scream. Her AND her brother need a new choreographer.
The opening act Metro Station (her brother) was NOT meant for children. I don’t know WHAT they were thiinking.
Miley seems to be changing her image. Seemed “harder” than normal. She wore only black and white. No more cute pink.

  • SlippinIntoTheLava x3

This why i dislike Miley posts. :/

The paperless ticket idea is a nightmare. It took an hour and a half to just get in the arena. And the opening act, her brother’s band, was horrible!!! Not only could they not sing, but It was NOT age appropriate for children AT ALL!!! It is absolutely horrible when Miley Cyrus is advertising through her brother, for girls to take your clothes off. My 8 year old even said when we left that she got bored!!

  • Anonymous

Wow, what a show!!! Miley did not disappoint. The special effects kept the younger and older fans entertained during the entire show. My daughter will have great memories to keep with her for a long time to come. When Miley returns to our area, you can bet I’ll be taking my daughter again.

  • Anonymous

This was definately NOT the best of both worlds. This was the worst of Miley Cyrus and innocence lost. She looked like she is 16 going on 25 with her attire and head bangers ball head bob. Although my kids had a fun time, I was praying they wouldn’t notice the crotch grabbing, the pelvic thrusting with the camera on just her crotch, and was especially praying she wouldn’t hump the motorcycle that she was on when lifted into the air. Of the 18,000 people, other than the adults or guardians, the average age had to be under 12 years old. I’m sorry, but we don’t need to push them to grow up so quickly. I don’t want a Britney Spears wannabe as a role model for my kids. Once bitten – twice shy.

  • Anonymous

Everything was overpriced ! $100 a ticket to see her perform for an hour? $35 for a kids t-shirt? Opening act was terrible; not appropriate for crowd age. No Hannah Montana at all despite tour name stating there would be.
I was impressed with her stamina in performing many fast-paced songs in succession. She does have many talented dancers to support her.
Overall, I would not attend the show again if the tickets were free; nor would I recommend the show to anyone else. I have attended many concerts and have always left feeling like I had gotten my money’s worth from longer playing times and/or lower ticket prices. I feel cheated after this concert! Huge disappointment!!!!

  • Anonymous

Miley was uninvolved with her fans which was very disappointing… the show was dull lacked a wow factor, and she needs to stop hanging upside down so her fans can see her face!!!

Now please understand, I’m not a Miley hater. I am, however, a Metro Station and teenage-trampy-dancing hater. Does Miley not understand her target audience is not 18-20 year olds, but actually about 7-10? I get it that she wants to “act” and be seen as an older performer, but this was horrible.
Miley’s opener was her brother’s band Metro Station. Horrible. Wannabe 80’s pop/electronic. He was on something… I think Daddy told his son he wasn’t going to support his drug habit any longer so he decided to create a band with his buddy, who happens to be HM’s “Oliver’s” older brother. My 10 yr old daughter said they were horrible and asked how long they would be on stage.
    As for Miley…
Aside from the trampy dancing, bad costumes, and struggling voice…um, was I supposed to have something GOOD to say here?
Oh yeah, the concert t-shirts were ONLY $35 each. I guess that is good. I guess. Or not. Whatever.
So maybe that sums it up perfectly – WHATEVER.
    I want my money back.

This was not a concert for young (under 12 years) children. Miley is growing up and trying to be an adult, which is understandable at her age, but she knows the fan base is younger children. Her older brother’s rock band ( which is terrible) opened the show, playing for 30+ minutes. He is too old, hard rock and scary for young children. Again, fine if the audience was 16 years or older. She sand too many hard rock songs, only singing less than 6 of her popular songs. She is a talented and sweet girl, it is a shame that whoever is promoting her is trying to make her another Brittney. It is unnecessary. I noticed she did not thank or acknowledge her band but did acknowledge her dancers. I have never been to any concert that the main singer did not thank his/her band. Overall, it was ok but I would not recommand anyone under 14 or 16 years old to attend this show. It is not what the young girls or parents would expect. Save your money for the video.

  • Anonymous

I felt this concert was not suitable for the age group that was attending. The opening act was not good at all and the songs were not suitable either. AS for Miley, we only knew about 1/2 of the songs she sang, her outfits were nhot much, and I mean they did not cover much and her moves were way to old for 6-10 year olds that made up the audience. I would not recommend this for anyone and as one mom stated as we were leaving, there daddy should be ashamed

  • Anonymous

I have been told that the accoustics at the Target Center were horrible, but the show started out with her brother’s band and they were just horrible. They can not sing and will always be one hit wonders…”Shake, Shake, Shake”. Oh please shake this memory from me! What a nightmare. Their dancers on stage were even more hideous. What was that?
The dude takes off his shirt to show his ink…and his skinny little body to boot. There are singers out there with ink and are on stage shirtless and that’s okay because THEY have talent and can sing. Don’t use an excuse that like he did to voice his opinion that people should be accepted no matter what they look like, to get onstage shirtless so you can showoff ink that is not impressive and a body that makes one want to feed you.
Miley…well, proves that recording studios do wonders! Loved the parts when she sang with her back to the audience or kneeling down with her head in her lap with all her hair covering her face. Were those the lip-sync parts? The ear pieces kept flying off her ears everytime she would dig into her long locks and fling her hair.
So I brought my 10 year old grand-daughter (did I say grand-daughter?) and I just hope and pray I don’t go in her room and find her singing a Miley tune rubbing herself and grinding her hips like Miss 16…17? year old Miley did last night. Disturbing to know most of the audience ranged from 5-9 years old. OH WELL! Miley…please don’t follow in the footsteps of Britney. Next concert….who knows, mabye a few f-bombs in the lyrics!

Not as good as previous shows when associated with Disney, Moments that were not appropriate for young kids(

  • Anonymous

I’ve never seen so many bored people at a concert. I only saw the audience get excited 2 times. Even Miley said the audience wasn’t very excited. Perhaps that’s because Miley looked really bored. Someone commented to me that she looked as if she was doing a mercy concert for us. The stage set up was awful. Everything was set so far back (in order to cram as many people into the venue as possible) that one could barely see her. I felt bad for the people who had to sit behind the stage. Who does that anymore? I haven’t seen a concert set up like that in ages. If you had floor seats you couldn’t see a thing because the stage was so low. Did she forget that half her audience is under 4ft and could never see that stage sitting down which is what all of the ushers kept making them do. I thought the Jonas brothers and Cheetah Girls gave much better concerts. The adults there were also extremely rude. Huge disappointment from my perspective.

The Miley Cyrus concert was just amazing. She is a great entertainer and this is really a show that’s worth seeing. The production values are wonderful, there are myriad costume changes and the music–mostly from her new CD has an almost hard edge to it that makes it a nice change from light pop.
Her set included The Climb, Party in the USA, Girl’s Night Out and in one very memorable moment she sang a cover of the iconic Joan Jett song “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” while riding a motorcycle suspended twenty feet above the crowd.
All in all it’s a great show. Parents attending with their kids will be surprised I think. This isn’t Hannah Montana, this is Miley coming into her own.

Miley’s concert was awesome!!! I didn’t even know all of her songs, and wasn’t her biggest fan until now! She is so cool and makes the concert really enjoyable for anyone. I saw a few adults up and dancing! HAH

My seven year old now dislikes Miley. It’s sad. Her brother is gross and weird and she was very unlikable.

  • Anonymous

Her clothes barely covered her body, she played mostly news songe we have not heard, and she still can’t dance!! To top it off her overly tatooed brother made an appearance on stage. Her main demographic is 10 year olds, but this concert was aimed at 20 year olds. This is the last Miley concert for us.

We had three 9-year-old girls and two 7-year-old girls with us and we thought the show was a complete embarrassment. First of all, Miley’s brother opened with his band and some of the lyrics were astonishing. Like, “take it off, let’s just touch”. Please! The fan base for the show was young, impressionable girls, not young adults.
When Miss Cyrus did finally grace us with her presence, she was wearing stuff that would make a street-walker blush. She was wearing hot-pants of all colors and never did have on anything that I would allow my girls to wear. Now, I’ll have the pleasure of explaining to my young girls that we don’t approve of that kind of dress and they won’t be wearing anything of the sort.
As for the music, she wavered from the popular songs so much that it seemed to become just a hard rock, head banging, hair flinging experience. When she did do the “Hoedown Throwdown”, which my girls were finally excited and got out of their seats, she started junking it up right after the first verse with something that sounded like rap. That was a disappointment all by itself. I could go on and on about how I thought it was just plain disappointing and I’ll never be spending money on anything like that again, hopefully!

First of all this concert is not recommended for any kid under the age of 13.
After a few songs my daughter asked me if she was Lip Syncing.
She did not interact with the crowd much and seemed strange.
Did not put on a show just went through the motions of having a concert. Just the basics to get it over. Also upset that I spent $154 on two tickets and two section over my friend was sitting and got her tickets at $25 each. Would have not minded if the concert would have been a little interesting. But my 8 yr old liked it so I guess that is all that matters.

im starting to wonder whose the blind one here those pmsing parents or me really its not that hard to notice that this is a MILEY CYRUS CONCERT NOT HANNH MONTANA and really id be embaressed to be a 16 year old girl whose going to be 17 wearing those sparly outfits with a blonde wig on singing overproduced pop songs, id rather miley whose not fictional character with REAL RELATEABLE music that everyone can enjoy kicking and screaming and party in the usa are my jams!

kind of feel panicky like “What have I done? bringing little girls to this???” I feel like I could cry! What a bad influence. Not at ALL what I expected!!! I do realize she is growing up but mostly it seemed like she was preforming at a strip club with all her short shorts with butt hanging out, crotch grabbing, rubbing herself, heavy metal music and hair whipping around! UGH! I am just sick about it!!! I would have never bought tickets or brought kids to this if I thought it would be like that! I thought she would do lots of songs from the Movie that was out this past summer . It was more like an adult type concert then for the actual kid crowd that it was. Then, to make it even worse…she kept squatting down & singing with her knees out to the sides and the cameras caught that on the BIG screens a few times~close up crotch shots!! Wonderful! It think it was so irresponsible and disgusting on her part to act this way when her crowd is majorly LITTLE girls!! I am embarrassed to say I let my daughter see such a show! Not what I thought it would be at all!
And for her brother and his band…Really disgusting and appalling too!!

I was a little disappointed that Miley Cyrus only played 1 Hannah Montana song. She definitely seemed older than 16! Wouldn’t recommend taking kids under 10 unless they know all Miley’s new music!

Miley needs at least a PG 13 rating for children. Many children were in presence with provocative style throughout the show. My child was 8 and many other children their were her age or younger.

For as much money as I payed to go see Miley with my daughter, was a bit disappointed!
We had floor seats, which my daughter had to stand on the chair to watch the whole concert. She only sang for and hour, she could have sang some of her old songs for another hour for all of those little girls that has watched her from the beginning.

The concert was really Great! Just what you would expect. Lots of energy, lots of great music and dancing. I had read reviews about inappropriate dancing, so I was a tiny bit nervous because I tend to be conservative, but I felt nothing in this show was out of line. She’s a beautiful 16 year old girl that is a pop sensation, she dances appropriately for her age, and music. Fun times!!!

  • Anonymous

Miley thinks she’s grown up, but after seeing her concert I’m quite certain she hasn’t. A grown up woman would not be “bumping and grinding” with an audience of impressionable young girls. Looks like she’s headed down the path of Britney Spears. Very disappointing.

  • Anonymous

I thought this concert was extremely cold. She was very impersonal. Not once did she actually talk to her fans except to promote her new movie. I know she was performing as Miley Cyrus and not Hannah Montana however she forgets who is sitting in the audience. She came off do a little to many sexual moves forgetting that little girls are sitting there watching her thinking she is still gonna act like Hannah Montana. As a mother if I would of known she would of performed like this I would never have spent all this money. I am so over her now and will never spend another dollar on her again.

I took my 6 year old daughter and was very disappointed. Miley did not sing any of the songs from the TV show that my daughter watched. It was all new/pop stuff that frankly was not that appealing. The dancers and the stage set up was good but the music was at best marginal. She should be thankful that Disney made her with the Hannah Montana show and she should try to keep her loyalty fan base and sing some of those songs. Her voice lacks depth and I could have found better singing talent at any local bar. After spending over $200 for two tickets I was very disappointed to see that my daughter (who loves Hannah Montana) was disappointed by the show. Go back to being Hannah Montana and sing the songs that made you famous…your shooting star will last longer.

I did not care for the warm-up band. Miley is going to loose her young audience . Her show is not really family friendly . Maybe she wants to be like the rest of Hollywood and if so that is disappointing.
Miley does no interaction with the audience either. For the money I will not take my children again or reccomend her.

I thought this concert was really boring, I’m a parent, but even still, I get a kick out of miley and her music, however, this concert was really boring for me and my daugter, she sang songs we knew but a lot we didn’t, I thought the guy that says he’s her brother who performed, was a little to provactive, he was walking around with no shirt and talking about beautful women out in the audience and these were little girls, also we paid almost $200 for our seats and we were on the roof, basiclly, I just thought they could’ve made it to where we got a little more for our money, because if you weren’t on the floor near the stage this was just not a fun event to be at, also, we didn’t get home until almost 11, with all the people and traffic, on a school night, I thought was also ridiculous, because eventhough my daughter wasn’t having the best time she still wanted to stay until the end, and with the money we spent I wanted to stay until the end, so all in all, I just thoght this was a horrible experience for my daughters first concert.

  • Anonymous

I brought my two daughters to see Miley and I was disappointed. She did not sing many of her most popular songs. She did not really try to involve the audience. Although The Climb is one of my favorite songs, I feel it was not a great choice for a finale. It should have been more upbeat and exciting. My daughters biggest disappointment was that Hannah Montana never came out.

  • Anonymous

My daughter and I went to the Miley concert in Lexington. My daughter loved it (she is 7) but I felt she acted like she didn’t want to be there, she swung her hair around constantly and dressed and danced very seductively. She was inappropriate for any child under 16. Even then, I wouldn’t want my daughter”s role model to be Miley, it is getting to be like Brittney Spears. Not to mention how hypocritical it is to be all “Cristian” but act the opposite.

  • He’s gone.

Deal with it. That is what teenagers wear these days. It is not just Miley. Go to high schools . They are wearing very simliar things that Miley is wearing. So if your calling her a slut you basically called every teen a slut. Whore is someone who has sex with many guys. How is she a whore? The last time I thought she wears a purity ring. That is such a whore thing to do right?
    __

Wrong. I’m in high school. No one wears shorts at my high school, as far as I can see. So, stop talking like it’s a stereotype.

She played and sang exactly to her crowd and fans. The girls in the crowd went crazy with her choice of songs. There was so much energy from these girls with singing and dancing along with her. I believe all these fan “little girls” felt so special….
They seem to look up to Miley and she hasn;t forgotten that at all…

  • doppler

ok i’ve had enough. my miley show was amazing. she rocked out like no other and she was great with the audience. she signed autographs from the stage and pointed out signs and joked around with her dancers. she had so much energy and sang everything so well. i could not believe how much energy she had and how well she commanded attention. the show was thought out and entertaining and miley showed more poise than i thought possible from a 16 year old.

so thanks for the reviews from idiot parents, hater. you’ve officially ruined this miley post, go play in traffic now.

I could not have been more disappointed!! Miley needs to remember that the majority of her audience were little girls-age 5-12. Her attire and her dancing was completely inappropriate. We went to her concert two years ago. She was cute and fun and appropriate. Last night, she was trying to be as sexy as possible. So not appropriate for little girls. This will definitely be our last Miley concert. It makes me sad, because we are such fans!!
One last note. We took our little girls to see a teenage pop star. The last thing we expected was to see a heavy metal techno band open the night. Trace and his band were very nice and appreciative. However, the tattoos and piercings were too much for the population of audience. My 6 year old niece was so scared, she was crying and had to leave the stadium. I have nothing against his music or how he looks. I just do not feel it was even remotely appropriate for the young audience. The opening act should have been well advertised so we would have known what we were getting ourselves into.

Can’t get past the fact that she only performed for an hour and fifteen minutes. That time also included the movie trailer intermission she broadcasted midway through the show. The show was choppy and lacked a natural flow. Way more fluff than anything else. She sang maybe 10 songs. It took longer to get to the show that the actual performance. A real disappointment.

I was very disappointed in Miley’s Performance. It was like Britney Spears all over again! She danced like a pole dancer and my daughter asked me what was wrong with her and why she was acting like that. She was forgetting words to songs and was running around and trying to head bang so much that her vocals were poor. Miley’s fan base is young impressionable little girls and she did not set a very good example.

We were very disappointed in the overall show. Took our 6 & 8 year old grandchildren. The show was “too old” for them and others sitting around us. She has gotten very provacative and needs to be listed in the older teen generation.

I was so terribly disappointed by Miley’s choice of clothing (or lack of clothing). My 9 year old daughters were very confused. One daughter asked me during the concert if Miley was dancing inappropriately. I was also disappointed by the screaming and headbanging. Where is the bubbly, happy Miley we have all gotten to know and love? I was surprised she didn’t connect more with her Kentucky fans, being that her father was born in Ky! I understand that Miley may be “outgrowing” Hannah but her fans have not had enough time to separate her from their beloved Hannah. My daughters were so disappointed to not hear “Best of Both World. And don’t get me started on Metro Station. I am still having to answer questions about the tattoos and why he took his shirt off during the concert!

I took my 9 yr old to see the show i didnt think it was how i saw it, it really could have been better but then was thinking well shes young. she had her head too much down and singing and towards the end on the climb song you can tell she was really exhausted and just sang it with out volume but thats my oponion. i dont think im ever going again.

This is a PG 13 rock n roll show, so Hannah Montana fans/tweens may be dissappointed. The show was phenomenal but Miley’s older brother with a non-working microphone and enough energy to make us all wonder if he isn’t on something was a real downer. Her sultry, singing slumped over opening number and some of the suggestive dance moves were very unexpected. Finally, the show was very short.

We got to see too little of Miley Cyrus. We paid to see her not her brother for a whole 1 hour. Too much money for just an hour and 15 minutes of Miley. Very disappointed!!!!

I was very dissappointed in the concert. Miley’s fan base is around 8-10 year old girls. She was dancing very seductively and wore hot pants almost the whole time. She repeatedly rubbed her hand over her breast and down to between her legs. This is very inappropriate for little girls.
Her brother was also a terrible opening act. He sang about girls wanting to take all of their clothes off, getting naked and touching for a little while, and smoking pot and doing cocaine. What part of that is appropriate for the audience that was there? Several parents around me were upset and several said we wouldn’t be coming to Miley’s concerts anymore if this is what we could expect.
I was very dissappointed in the concert, and the way everything was sexual. I know she is growing up, but Mily should remember that her fan base is still young.

This concert was EXTREMELY disappointing, especially to my 11 year daughter who worships Miley/Hannah. We all “get” that Miley is trying to shed the Hannah-persona, but how about striking a balance to keep your true fans happy?
Miley was not there to entertain the majority of the crowd (young girls). This was obvious given ALL the people around us staying in their chairs the whole time. I was so excited to share my daugher’s first concert, and it was definitely a let-down.

THE Must See Concert Of The Year!

I am and have always been a huge Miley fan, so when I tried to buy tickets a few days after they went on sale, I was so bummed that they were already sold out. Nonetheless, I kept checking each day, just to see if they’d released more. Well two days before the concert, they did! I had amazing seats, I was very close and was at a good angle so that I could see the whole stage. Her set was incredible, she was nothing but perfect in vocals and her dance moves were INCREDIBLE! I wish I could dance like that!! Overall, it was the best concert I have ever been to, (but hey, maybe I’m just being biased because I’m a huuuuuuuuuuge fan hah) and I would definitely reccomend it to anybody to see! Kids, teens, moms, dads. The entire crowd loved it. The opening band, Metro Station, whose lead singers are Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso, was awesome as well. I loved the entire concert!!!! I wish I could relive that night over and over again!!!!!

She was incredible. My fave was when she cruised around the air on a harley davidson, rocking out to Joan Jets, I love rock and roll. Best concert I have ever been to….

Lots of energy and fun for the fans. Creative and great music. Appropriate for the younger audience.

Would not recommend this tour, tickets were over priced once again, she was only on stage for about and hour and her brother the lead singer for Metro Station was to punk rock for the gathering of youngsters, in the middle of his performance he removed his shirt . Instead of singing she did more screaming as did her brother, along with the impression they gave on wanting to be more rock with all the head bobbing. This concert is not worth the money and time I spent getting there. Overall a terrible performance by both her and her brother. The music industry needs a rating system for concerts so that people with young children attending concerts will be aware of the content, therefore avoiding inappropriate content.

THE OPENING ACT WAS LONGER THAN MILEY’S SET, MILEY WE USED TO LOVE YOU WHAT HAPPENED????????

  • Anonymous

Miley was awesome. Love the Bottom of the Ocean sequence with her swimming underwater. The motorcycle flying through the air was a hoot!
As a mom, I was very grateful for Miley’s attention to her youngest fans. She is a classy and compassionate young woman and a good role model.

  • Anonymous

Not a great concert at all. Miley sang off key right from the get go and didn’t seem to put on a very energetic performance. Not at all impressed with the opening act Metro Station either. It wasn’t at all the show the young kids were expecting and hoping for. I think her dance routines and rocker attire were more appropriate for an older audience too.

  • Anonymous

The whole show was awesome!! Miley had great outfits, great sets and sounded terrific!!! She opened in a huge ice formation and kicked through it signing Breakout. She had the house rockin’ to GNO, Party in the USA and the audience sang The Climb! She flew through the air to Fly on The Wall and road a motorcycle high above the crowd to Joan Jett’s I Love Rock ‘n Roll. She threw in a cool little cut of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. She was everything her fans expected her to be! An amazing event for the younger crowd!

  • Anonymous

My daughter and I had the most unforgettable time. She cried on the way to the concert while we were listening to the climb so excited that she was going to see Miley Cyrus in person. Miley made her year! Thanks Miley… We love you… :)

Extremely poor for little children, which is her audience. The brother was extremely inappropriate. I will never take any of my 3 kids to another cyrus concert unless it is hosted by disney.

  • Anonymous

If you have youngh children this is not recommended. I brought my 7 year old daughter and I was appaled by the dancing it was something you would see a young adult do not a teenager. I feel that young girls will get the wrong idea about what is appropriate by seeing Miley as a role model. I will not be taking my daughter to that show again.

I thought for sure I would get better seats using my American Express card and getting my tickets 2 days prior to the public sale. instead we got nose bleed section at a very high level! The show was not appropriate for young children. Miley and her brother from Metro Station acted like a punk rock group, slinging their heads around w/ their hair in their face and at times holding their heads down so far to the floor I thought they would fall over. My husband and I was greatly disapointed w/ the vugar dancing, the revealing costumes, short shorts. Metro station’s lyrcis were vugar and they didn’t need to be there. My 2 girls ages 9 and 6 never even stood up or sung along. They couldn’t believe their eyes and said,”Can we go home, this is not fun and she is acting stupid!!” we agreed and have told everyone we don’t recommend her show to anyone!!!! Miley bro seemed to be on drugs that night, he continued to scratch his head the intire time and rub his hand down his head like he was trying to part his hair and cover his face at the same time! And taking off his shirt was VERY INAPROPRIATE!!! No one cared to see his over tatooed body, that had body piercing and underweight skinny weirdo on stage!!! THAT WAS JUST AS SICK AS SICK COULD GET!!!!!!!!

  • Anonymous

MY DAUGHTER ENJOYED THE SHOW, HOWEVER SHE COULD NOT BELEIVE THAT
SHE ONLY PLAYED FOR 1 HOUR AND 10 MINUTES. I UNDERSTAND THAT SHE’S NOW MILEY AND WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH HANNA MONTANA, BUT SHE COULD HAVE PLAYED SOME HANNA SONGS TO EXTEND THE SHOW.

Miley’s brother opened the show and his band/group was less than appreciated by the crowd. His self indulgent show was nothing but sickening. Miley wore very little clothes and couldn’t keep her legs together. I was tired of seeing her “cheeks”. For the small children that were there, it was definitely not what they expected or deserved.

Miley obviously doesnt know who her audience is. Tweens & little girls that love Hannah! She didnt see the tons of blonde wigs & girls in Hannah costumes. The concert was way too mature for these young girls. We were so disappointed that Hannah didnt make an appearance. I wish I would’ve known this ahead of time – I would’ve saved the $200 on tickets. I guess Hannah is just a Disney icon now.

  • Anonymous

Miley was one of the greatest stage sets I have ever seen. I loved all the different song settings and stunts that Miley did. She was great. Very talented young lady.

  • Anonymous

This is not the Miley Cyrus we all fell in love with. She may be trying to break away from the Disney image. However, she has a following of 5-10 year old girls. This concert was not appropriate for that age group. I will not be buying a ticket to her show in the future. WARNING!!! Do not take your young children.

  • Anonymous

The new Miley Cyrus is somewhat disappointing. She had not grown in to a rock star and seems uncomfortable with her music and dance and it shows.
The majority of the crowd were 8-12 year old girls. You could tell by the non participation that the girls were there to see Hanna and did not know or appreciate the new Miley. I went to the Jona’s brthers this summer and the girls never stopped singing and dancing. At this show there were points that there was no one on their feet and no one seemed to know the music.
Very disappointing for the money that we spent

  • Anonymous

Miley was fun and energetic. The special affects and dancing in her show were phenomenal. She is a very talented young lady who has a wonderful stage presence.

I know Miley is 17. But how many 17 year olds are allowed to dress like that? I know she may want to grow up. But she knows who her audience is- the under 12 crowd. It was not appropriate. Most headliners play songs from their new album, but also play a lot of old favorites for their fans. She didn’t even do that. I was disgusted by her brother- certainly not appropriate for this venue.Completely inappropriate match up and horrible example to young children that they knew would be there. To say, ‘I’m not supposed to take off my shirt, but I am going to’ is teaching kids to go against what they are told to do. I would not take my child to his kind of concert– we went and got a snack while he was playing (if you could call it that). The special effects were great. That is the only positive I can say. We will not be buying any more Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus items in the future. What a waste.

I’m an old guy, 44, and I took my 8 yr old daughter to the show. I thought Miley and her band were quite impressive. She has the pressence of a much older performer and the voice to go along with it. My daughter danced and screamed and when Miley hovered above the crowd on a Harley singing I Love Rock N Roll, well, I was dancing and screaming too. Great show.

  • Anonymous

For a 16 year old, Miley was way too provacative. Especially given her young audience. All the hair flipping and singing with her head down, into her hair was just ridiculous. Made a reference to St. Louis a few times, but never seemed too committed to the venue. Maybe it is her youth but she never introduced her band, dancers, or anyone who performed with her.
Short concert, too many slow songs, not enough of her most popular, upbeat songs.
Very disappointing – would not see Miley again in concert. And I definitely would not let my children attend another one of these performances.

Miley really put on an awesome show…lots of fun for all ages…even for us moms

First of All I paid the highest price and ended up across the Arena in row J. They had big screens to help us who were so far away, but the speekers and other items hanging from the Arena blocked them. I expected to see Hanna Montana with my 6 year old daughter and I got the second comming of Britney Spears. It is obvious Miley is trying to move on from a teen queen. Didn’t work for Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Hillary Duff, or the Olson twins. Not sure it will work for her. Miley’s band was awesome and well balanced. I have never questioned her musicality, however I saw her on American Idol last year signing the Climb and wasn’t impressed with her vocals. I thought it was just my TV since No Doubt performed also and Gwen’s vocals were horrific. I was not impressed with Miley’s vocals. She claimed to be sick, but I feel they were nasal and animic. Over all it was a priceless experience for my daughter to see her and young kids always remember events as better then they really were. I had a good time but was underwelmed by the performance.

I’m sorry but for just short $100 a tickets it was the biggest waste of money. I will never go to another one of her concerts. I’m sorry but don’t hold a concert if you are only able to play a dozen songs.

The opening act her brother gave was terribley inapropreiate for the age of the audince, his message that he was sending might have been good for 18- 25 year olds, if I could have walked out I definitely would have. The brothers act was never advertised, as a parent and knowing he was going to open I would have researched it before exposing my childern. When Miley loses her 5-12 year old audinence she will be finished. Maybe the worst $500. I have spent.

  • Anonymous

Miley is no longer playing for the little girl set. The dancing was inappropriate for the 6-12 year olds that really made up the audience. This was geared toward an older tween crowd, unfortuantely, that is not who came to see the show.

I was so disappointed in this concert. We went to two other Hannah Montana concerts and they were wonderful. This concert was not at all what I want my daughter to continue to “love.” I believe it was very sexual in nature, from the beginning when Miley danced with her microphone pole in a provocative way, to her feeling herself up and down her body, to the male/female dancers–especially when they were dancing with one another in a very sexual way, as she was dressed in a men’s shirt and barely anything else—as they had slept together . Miley’s shorts–if that’s what you call them–were so short, she may as well not had any on. We have been to our last Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana concert and it is a shame. We thought she would be a wholesome role model, and now I am sorry we ever started following her.

  • Anonymous

What a great concert, both my daughter and I loved it. Miley sounds fabulous live and put on a most entertaining concert. She was energetic, the music was wonderful and had a great mix of fast and slow songs. We hope she comes back to the Northwest so we can see her again!

  • Anonymous

Whether she likes it or not Miley Cyrus is a role model and after seeing this show she is a very bad one. Her clothes were extremely inappropriate for younger audiences. Her dance moves were equally distasteful. Did not see much of Hannah Montana but did see way too much of Miley Cyrus. She appears to be on a straight path to follow in Brittany Spears footsteps and it is too bad because she is very talented. I also can’t believe any father would let their 16 year old daughter dress and perform that way regardless of the amount of money she was making.

  • Anonymous

This concert was totally inappropriate for the audience it attracted. Most people at this concert brought 5 to 12 year olds. These were people that were unable to get tickets to the Best of Both Worlds Concert and expected the same type of Hannah Montana performance. It was extremely provocative and unacceptable. Her brother should not have been allowed to act as he did and is not an entertainer.

  • Anonymous

I can’t believe that I paid money to see this concert. Had it not been for the love of Hannah montana I never would of taken my child. Not one her outfits was appropriate for the young girl age genre. The dancing was something of a early year Madonna display and completely inappropraite for the age group present. She screamed most of the night into the mic so that she could hear herself over the music. Miley had the chance to come out and be a positive role model to sooo many young children and instead chose to parade herself around in clothing that showed way more of her body then need be. What a bad message to send.

  • Anonymous

I took my 7 year old daughter to see Miley Cyrus. I guess I made a mistake because I was expecting more of a Hannah Montanna type show. The opening band, with dancers that were proabably more appropriate for a strip club, was in my opinion clearly not appropriate for a young crowd. The lead singer (Miley’s brother) was very scary. Miley also seemed to go overboard in trying to separate her herself from her Hannah past. I quess I am getting old because I thought her show, and especially her outfits, were not appropriate for a 16 year old. Unfortunately I now see that she has become someone I do not want my young daughter to look up to and want to be like at this point. Her music was okay but nothing great. The only similar concert I can compare this to was a Jonas Brothers show we saw recently. The Jonas Brother show was in a totaly different class. It was very innocent, honest, talented and extremely enjoyable – things the Miley show, in my opinion, was not. Having said all that, my daughter loved the Miley show. That’s what really scares me.

I’m a musician and songwriter, and my daughter and I are fans of Miley’s work as a musician and actor. We play and sing some of the songs and watch the shows together. It’s a bonding thing… Seeing Miley as Hannah, I wasn’t sure how well she could transform her image to be herself, but she has outdone herself moving from teen pop sensation to a pro Rock Star. We went to the second show on her tour at the Tacoma Dome near Seattle. The show was very well presented, choreographed, and although quite loud it was well mixed (and not as loud as the fans). It was clear that nothing was lipsynced and Miley belted out her tunes while running around the stage without losing a step, breath, or note. There were a few moments when slight mishaps would happen, but that just added the the realness and human part of the equasion. The camera work for the big screens was well done and you could get glimpses of her individual personality showing through the showperson acting for the audience. The big screens were well applied with synchronized images that were relevant to the songs and theatrics. There was also some cool flying suspended from cables and a wide assortment of pyro, smoke, fog, and other special effects. Overall we had a great time, and she and her band and crew put on a great show!

My daughter and I have been Miley Cyrus fans from the beginning. A very class act until recently. I was ashamed at the way Miley performed with all of her dirty dancing, suggestive body language. and clothing. The songs were fine, as well as the lyrics If she wants to cross the line and be another Brittany Spears, so be it, but she should realize who her target audience is. This is our last Miley Cyrus concert. Several mom’s echoed the same as we left. When we passed the merchandise booth, by daughter said she didn’t want anything with Miley’s name to it.

  • Anonymous

It was a poor example for young girls/ teenagers regarding dress code & suggestive movements. Thought this would be more of a Hannah Montana concert that was sweet for young girls. The girls are done with concerts because it was such a disappointment. And, by the way, Metro Station was just awful and had no business playing in front of the young audience. I think the Metro Station singer seemed out of it, and I thought their music stunk. I did not pay to hear that kind of music for an hour. I should have just come at 8:00pm to hear Hannah Montana.

  • Anonymous

Miley was way too provocative for her audience. She did not stop to think who would be coming to her event. I brought my daughters and niece and her moves and clothing were disgusting. She needs to think who comes to see her shows there might be teenagers but it is mainly 5-12 year olds.

The Miley Cyrus concert was unforgettable…. its was really good, she sings very well! I recommend it!

I thought this show was way under par. Miley appeared to be in pain the whole time, flipping her head every which way. She sounded nothing like her CD’s. Her fans are young girls, she knows this, yet is dressing VERY provacative and grabbing her crotch. I know she loves her new stuff, but the show was fairly quiet til the last 4 songs, that all the kids actually knew. Two of the girls I brought were begging to leave by 8:40pm. Miley was on stage for a total of one hour and fifteen minutes. Not to mention her 4 dressing changes were random people tried to entertain the crowd. So actually she maybe performed for 45mins total. Show was over by 9:20pm.

I was disappointed in the Miley Cyrus concert. I felt the wardrobe and dancing was way to mature for my 10 year old daughter. Not to mention the opening act. They seemed to be a more heavy metal group. Had I known that was what the concert was going to be, I would not have taken my daughter. My only hope is that most of the mature content went right over her head. Shame on Miley for forgetting who she was singing to. No interaction with the young audience, encouragement to them of any kind, and a poorly chosen wardrobe.

  • Anonymous

miley wants to be all grown up and no longer hannah montana. well they she needs to offer her fans an all grown up show. she certainly dressed very all grown up, she acted like a big time rock star, yet she sang for just over an hour. How very disappointing. Maybe she can spend less on her elaborate stage lighting and screen effects and spend a little bit more time giving her fans what they paid big time prices for. I guess she can get away with it and its all about the buck, but all the parents including myself who took kids to the concert said NEVER AGAIN.

Reviews are on Ticketmaster.com There are waaay more positive ones than negative ;)

Miley in concert was astonishing! Miley herself is amazingly beautiful, very talented, super sexy, sweet and fun, sincere, and very energetic. And Live on Stage she’s all that times 100! Her show was great! She performed for nearly an hour and a half with very little down time. She changed costumes close to a dozen times, looking more and more stunning with each change. At one point Miley flew around a bit like an itsy bitsy fly on the wall. The background dancers and band did a great job! (Especially a blond dancer whom I noticed had her knee in a brace. WOW! “The show must go on!”) There were special effects galore: streamers, fireworks, sparklers, lights, fog and flame, and a very intricate moving set. But the best part of all was Miley, of course, with her lovely voice, great personality, and fantastic songs. I do definitely hope to see Miley again. Thanks bunches Miley! You are a goddess!

I am a little confused! Ms. Cyrus has gained fame and fortune from her Disney television show. Her very loyal fan base was in Lexington KY last night. Mostly young females from the age of 6 to 16. I believe most came expecting to see what the have come to love about Cyrus/Hannah Montana! Instead, they were given a techno show and pounding bass that would make AC/DC or KISS smile. I didn’t mind the simple fact that her brother’s band was forced upon us as a warm up. Family loyalty. Did he actually sing,,,I can only remember him screaming every 15 seconds for everyone to stand up and make noise! Three different times he exclaimed “Seriously, if you don’t stand up: leave! Wow, the true bonding of a talented performer and a crowd of young teens. Miley Cyrus was ever the ‘dutiful’ performer. I don’t remember her smiling one time on stage. I fully understand her ‘evolving’ as a musician and re-eventing herself to an older audience, but,,,,,really,,,,,at the ticket prices,,,without warning,,,,

I was really disappointed because I took my three year old who loves Hannah Montana and I did not relize it was going to be all Miley Cyrus rocker stripper chick! She left crying because she did not know a lot of the songs that she played and she said “It was scary” I would definetly not recomened it for little girls, seems like she will start having a different audience if she keeps it up!

i took my daughter to see her ‘idol’….i was expecting it to be a good show, but i have to say it was way more than ‘good’ it was amazing…the specialy effects, especially the motorcycle ride suspended above the crowd…it was great. i have been to a lot of concerts in my time, and i would see her again! i have to add in also that her brother’s group..the opening act was painful to sit thru. a bunch of no-talent…he is just riding on the caboose of his little sister’s gravy train.

was so excited to attend. Finally there and then miley cyrus came out and i was totally disappointed. i thought she was better live. everyone made such a big deal about her, and honestly she couldn’t hold a note. she stated in her show b4 her brother came out to sing a sing ” i want everyone to stand up and for those who are sitting you can just go home if you want” i never in my concert life have ever heard an artist say that. for her age her clothing was totally unacceptable, one part she had these short shorts on and her butt was literally hanging out like come on really this concert was NOT FOR LITTLE CHILDREN. The arena was a good percentage of little children. Even the people around me were disappointed.

We were not pleased with Miley’s performance and really didn’t like the opening act. They were not age appropriate for the target audience. we won’t be contributing any more to the Miley “show”! She had an audience full of girls under 12 and was not performing for them – maybe for the dads? I hope she can find her niche in the music world but right now her big brother seems to have an influence on her and he is not talented and he too should not be performing in front of children under the age of 12. I have heard many local bands that have MUCH more musical talent than him.

I was not happy at all with this concert. Not only did her big brother come out and take his shit off in front of an arena full of little girls but then she came out with hardly any clothes on and sang a bunch of songs no one even knew. She did the thriller song and i love rock and roll. My litle girl was expecting to see hannah montana and instead she got a concert that was more sex than anything remotely resembeling a concert for kids. Never again will i spend money on one of her concerts. My daughter was overwhelmed by the fact Miley has tattoos and very little clothing.

The concert was a great evening for my sister and i and out teenage girls. Miley is a beautiful girl with a fun personality. Hope she doesn’t grow up too fast!!

It was a great show! She played most her popular songs as well as some new ones. The sound was extremely loud and I’m not ancient and think that everything is loud. Her voice sounded good and I was impressed that nothing was lip synched like alot of these teen acts. My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time. I liked how she showcased the band and the dancers.

  • Anonymous

The show was horrible….nothing like expected…I get that she is Miley Cyrus, 17, however, the group of people at the concert were not expecting alternative rock and head banging. I think the fact that she only performed for 1 hour and cost me $148 for 2 tickets is RIDICULOUS. I was not happy, and by the end of the show, neither was my 10-year old daughter.
Half the songs you couldn’t understand, and the rest of the time, she was busy changing clothes. Using a fan base from who you were previously isn’t going to help you move along. There were alot of disappointed kids last night.

  • Anonymous

I was very very disappointed since I my young girls ages 6-9 listen to Miley’s first CD and we love the tender sweet music that she has done. The costumes, moves, and very provocative dancing (with ropes or with other dancers) was really not expected from such an amazing young lady. I was very disappointed and we will no longer follow her. May be appropriate for some older girls, but I think that the message the dancing and clothing sends is not one I encourage for young girls. We need more examples. Unfortunately, she will not be one of ours.

  • Anonymous

As a parent I though Miley’s skimpy shorts and tank tops were inappropiate. She is an influence for so many different ages, however, no girl should think it cool to show so much of her body. The concert was also very short, Miley said goodbye after only an hour and then came back on for only two more songs. I’m really glad I didn’t buy the more expensive tickets.

  • Anonymous

The so expected Miley’s concert in Minnesota was such a disappointment. Miley’s inappropriate dance moves on the stage, she forgot the lyrics of her songs, her tiny shorts that showed more than her legs and lack of connection with audience make this a show not acceptable for her young audience. The young audience were excited to see her but her drastic change was not very pleasant to see especially when so many young kids were in attendance. Overall a bad show and her brother’s band (Metro Station) even worst! NOT A GOOD SHOW FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!

What a wonderful show. I am very impressed!!!

Miley was amazing, just amazing, that young woman has got it going on. Totally unforgetable concert for me and my little girl. She rocked the house! Miley’s band was just as amazing. Those 2 Guys can really “play guitar”!!!! I think the entire production was a complete success. The dancers and backup were rated A+ and I am sure are the best I’ve seen in my many years of concert going. I’ve been to Clapton, Stones, Crosby…. of course they are the most excellent of the excellent, and I was completely shocked as to how much I enjoyed the show and Miley’s voice, she is quite a Star and excellent performer, songwriter and singer. Way to go Ms. Cyrus, you have my utmost respect. Now, I understand why my child loves you so much. Sincerely, Weeza jr.

We attended the Milwaukee show last evening. 2moms, 2 daughters and were generally very disappointed, particularly in the opening group, Metro Station. As mothers of young girls (elementary school age) we were not crazy about Metro Station, Trace Cyrus. Did not appreciate the music, dance, general vibe of his show. Our girls DID not enjoy him and thought he was “gross”. His duet with Miley during her show felt completely out of place. We did not want to see anymore of Trace after he left the stage the first time.

Miley Cyrus delivered a great performance. The high energy, upbeat, visually stimulating performance had us clapping, stomping, and singing all night. She belted out her songs from the opening number to the closing song. Very entertaining and tons of fun.

Too expensive, too slutty, too untalented. Don’t waste your money.

Metro Station was Miley’s opening band – because her brother is in it. He was INAPPROPRIATE for the age group. The moms around me were all complaining (and we didn’t know each other!). His music dealt with cigarettes, drinking, sex…he took his shirt off at one point – and his pants were incredibly low. Then he sang 2 love songs to the young girls in the audience. Creepy!!!
Miley’s clothes were also much more “Britney” than I expected. She grabbed her crotch at least once, and made several other sexual moves inappropriate for the majority of her audience. I am by no means a prude – and yes, my daughter knows about sex. But I don’t want to pay so much money for an R rated show for my 10 year old!!!

I attended the Miley concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim on September 23,2009.I am a huge Miley fan, and when I saw the show it blew me away!Miley was amazing!!!!I loved her grand entrance to Breakout, and how she literally broke out of a big bubble on stage!I also loved how she flew over the crowd during Fly on the Wall and I Love Rock N’ Roll(on the motorcycle). I also loved it when she sang The Climb! I loved every minute of the show, and was singing along, dancing, and screaming the whole time.I think Miley is a great performer, and her concert really shows it.Miley shines! There were so many props, special effects, and costumes, that it really added to the great show! The song choices were great, and Miley really put all of her heart and soul into the show!Miley rocked Honda Center!!!!I can’t wait to see her perform again! It was one of the best nights ever!!!!:)

Did not like the opening band at all. Miley did not interact with the crowd enough. She only sang for about an hour which was not long enough for $100 a ticket show . Her attire was not appropriate for the majority of the crowd being age 4-15.

  • Anonymous

Miley Cyrus is trying to mature to quick. Her fans are very young and she is trying to appeal to an older audience. The opening act was very inappropriate for young children. My niece was very disappointed with the concert.

  • Anonymous

Miley has good, fun music, but the performance was terrible. I brought 3 children, a 9-year-old, 7-year-old, and 6-year-old. Totally inappropriate show for this age group. Too many stripper dance moves. All the body jerking, hair flipping, bending over like she was going to puke into the microphone singing was a little bizarre. She’s talented and has good music, doesn’t need all the props. Her brother’s band opened up for her. Completely awful!! Lyrics were inappropriate for young ears. “Take your clothes off. Let’s touch.”????? Come on!!! Then he did take his clothes off. Disgusting!!

Back when I bought the tickets for this concert, my thoughts were that I wanted my daughters to see her before she changes too much, since we had missed her first concert in St. Louis. Well she has already changed too much. I thought Metro Station was horrible. Their music is nothing similar to the type of music we went to hear. I was a little skeptical when it was Miley and not Hannah, but thought she would still play songs little girls liked. I can understand that Miley wants to grow up and play for an older audience, but that could have been accomplished a little slower so the parents of the 6 and 8 year olds could have seen it coming. And what is with her bent at the waist thru half of each song?

I took my niece to see Miley Cyrus in concert and could not have been more pleased. The show was fantastic and she loved it! Miley Cyrus did a phenominal job!

The Miley Concert at Bryce Jordan Center, State College, PA, was very disappointing.
For one thing, she sang only her songs, not very many Hannah Montanna songs. The audience was a lot of youth . The concert should have been tailored to them also.
Her clothing was too revealing for being a role model for a pop-star and the audience being a lot of youth. Wven the song she did sing for Hannah Montanna was not the whole song. She seemed to want to show her back side more than the front side and did a lot of head bopping.

I am truly disappointed at the adult content of Miley’s show. It was my mistake not to take note that it was billed as Miley Cyrus and NOT Hannah Montana. However, the majority of her following is under 10 years old. Her opening act, the dancers, the way she danced and dressed was not suitable for the many, many, many 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 years olds there.
Also, i took note that the line dance song, that everyone got to dance to she only sang one time through. She obviously is trying to distance herself from her Disney character and make a name for herself. Be careful Ms. Miley as it is Disney that made you and all of the younger girls and their parents buying your product. I hope this will not be another Britney Spears.

  • Anonymous

I took my 6 and 8 year old and they were bored half way through it. Miley sang most of her new songs, trying to promote the album, but the kids would have liked something they could have have sung along to. The wardrobe choice was very disappointing for a concert geared toward such a young audience.

  • Anonymous

I took my eight year old daughter to see this concert! It wasnt what we were expecting at all! The music was so loud you couldnt understand it. When did Miley become a headbanger? The chorergraphy was a little rated R for an eight year old! The wardrobe was a little rated also!

i have 4 girls ages 11, 9, 7, and 5 all of whom love miley/cyrus. even me @ 37 enjoy her music when my kids play it. But if youre going to this show, be prepared its nothing what u would expect. Its basically alot of hard rock and metal. My children just like all the others were extremely disappointed. I was mortified by her overt display of sexualty. She pole danced, humped the floor, and gyrated like a professional stripper, im not kidding!!! I know shes growing up and wants to develop an older fan base, and thats fine but then shes going to have to drop the hanna show and all that goes with. I was in the third row, and in my section alone there was absolutely no one over the age of 10, except maybe a mom or a dad. My girls left that nite no longer being a hanna fan nor a miley fan. I wish her the best. if you want to get your girls over hanna this will definately do it.

A little worried how the whole paperless tickets thing would go, but it ran very smoothly. Ticketmaster sent frequent reminders for the event which was great. It was very easy and I would do it again.Great show. Very energetic. The pyrotechnics were great. MIley flew accross the audience and rode a motorcycle over the crowd. It was amazing.Fun for the whole family. Would recommend it to anyone. My family definitely can’t wait for the next one.

  • Anonymous

I am trying to figure out if I am a bad mom or if this concert was just not marketed correctly. I am going with not marketed correctly because my 6 year old daughter was not the only child there under the age of 10. C’mon Miley! You know who your audience is… do you really need to be bumping and grinding on stage as if you are in heat? Your voice and fun nature is so darn cute! Why do you have to break out so early? Hannah Montana will be missed :(

  • Anonymous

The opening act was a disappointment. While Metro Station has some good songs, the lead singer ruined it by playing up the fact he was Miley’s older brother…which he repeated, again, and again, and again. It also was not the type of venue to strip off his shirt and throw his half-drunk water on the tween audience and their parents.
Miley was doubled over half the time she sang, hanging onto supporting structures for the other half…and while the choreography was good, it was obvious she was not into it, at all, much less having a good time. There were also parts of the show where her voice was rather screechy. Not sure if she was sick or what, but she didn’t want to be there, and after awhile, neither did I.

We thought the show was great. We happened to have 4th row seats which didn’t hurt but she put on a great show! We were nervous about the paperless tickets but it really worked out great. We went for our daughters but ended up enjoying it ourselves!

  • Anonymous

This was the worst concert I have ever taken my daughter to. My daughter is turning 8 we bought her these tickets for her birthday. The clothing that Miley wore was uncalled for. Half of the people coming to see her was children that needed to see her in something more tastful. Background music was way too loud could not hear her sing.

  • Anonymous

I have been to many concerts, this was exceptional, the dancers amazing and Miley did it all. I had a great time. Would love to see her again.

  • Anonymous

i took my daughter who is almost 6 to see miley and i thought the concert was just ok. my daughter was really tired from trick or treating and we left after one hour (per her request). she just wasn’t as interested in the show compared to the Jonas Brothers concert. being a mother, i personally thought miley’s wardrobe and dancing was too provocative!!! the shorts were way too short, but then again my daughter is not a pop star! i just think she is getting too old for the younger girls. (let alone the tattoo on her arm!) just don’t think she will be a good role model for my daughter! if my daughter was a lot older i would let me see her again, but i wouldn’t pay to see her again anytime soon!

  • Anonymous

Wow. Where to begin? Miley is a talented girl but obviously can’t carry a concert without her dancers and lights. She did not connect with her audience. Her attire and performance were both inappropriate for the mostly 12 and under children in attendance. And her opening act… Ug. Mason Musso has a decent voice but Trace Cyrus left his at home. And his performance was also inappropriate for the venue. My daughter was definitely disappointed. We expected to see a clean, sweet Miley and instead saw a head-slamming teenager trying to imitate an 80s Madonna and/or Britney Spears. Bottom line: we won’t see another Cyrus concert. She needs to take lessons from the Jonas Brothers. That was a good concert.

This was a coming out party for Miley as an artist. She does a good job of showing her own Rockappeal and keeping it clean for the kids. She does perform a couple of songs from the movie, however most of the show is Miley’s own music. She is more of a rocker than a pop artist. Do not expect a “hannah Montana” type show. Over all, she did a great job, kept it clean for the kids and impressed everyone with her own creativity.

  • Anonymous

I was totally shocked at how provocative she was, and her wardrobe was totally not appropriate. Especially for the age group her fan base .My 10 year old even said she should know better. For a good part of the show she was very scantly clad.

nice stage miley was excellent, the stunt on the motorcycle to joan jetts i love rock ‘n roll was impressive. my grandaughter said that was amazing. miley did a great job, loved the thriller dance. would of liked to see her come out and sing with her accoustic guitar, maybe the song her and her dad did together get set dont go, or i miss you , the one about her grandpa. but all in all miley is growing up and we love her. the show was great. my partie consisted of a 50 year old a 33 year old and 2 eleveen year olds. we were all very impressed with the show.

  • Anonymous

To start off the show, it was Metro Station. Miley’s brother didnt’ have any kind of appeal and what he thought he had he was trying to sell to the 5, 6, 7, and 8 year olds. Taking ones shirt off, displaying tattoos, having greasy hair while singing “take off your clothes and lets just touch” is very inapproperiate. The Disney name of “Hannah Montana” should not have been in the title considering Metro Station had sexual lyrics, took off his shirt displaying his disgusting chest which everyone around me was horrified, trying to gain popularity by using “sex” in stage presence in front of minors. Miley’s performance was good with the exception of all the head banging she did, grinding on the long traffic cone that hung from the ceiling. The dancers were good as well but had a little to much sexual content for the age that was attending. The motorcycle that she climbed on when she sang “I love Rock and Roll” was pretty neat however, they left it dangling above people’s heads which to me was a little dangerous in case it fell. I know this will not be even looked at but I will not recommend seeing her and I feel cheated of the $153 dollars because it just wasn’t all that good.

She (Miley) seemed very unhappy with who she is and is trying hard to be someone else. I am afraid she is going to get lost in the middle somewhere. This was NOT a concert you would want your little girl or big girl to attend. Very Very disgusting!!! This was NOT Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds. It was Miley Cyrus and Metro Station – a sad world.

I bought the tickets for my daughter and her friend. I met them outside of the venue after the concert and asked how it was and they both agreed it was boring. No interaction with the crowd, didn’t talk between songs, too many wardrobe changes, concert was short, and too must emphasis on back up dancers and props. My daughter and her friend are high school seniors and were suprised with Miley’s choice of outfits. I looked at the pics on my daughter’s camera and wondered what she was thinking wearing the pole dancing shorts and dancing erotic at times. I can just imagin what parents of young girls were thinking. My daughter and her friend also discussed Miley’s brother from Metro Station. They said he spoke poorly and sounded like he was high at times. After hearing this, I asked if they would go to another Miley concert and they both said NO! What a waste of time and money.

  • Anonymous

Overall a disappointing experience. I realize that she was ill but she did not seem to even want to be there. Plus her clothing was unflattering and gross. We left before the end.

  • Anonymous

i was there and some of these pics arent from last night. her hair was wavy and dark. not straight at all.

  • Anonymous

This show was horrible. Not sure if she was sick or the situation but when you spend premium money for an event such as this, you expect premium talent. She may be at a crossroads with her career too…Show was a disaster.

  • Anonymous

I personally thought that Miley was too provocative during this concert. I was ashamed to take my daughter and expose her to this. I will not go to another Miley concert again!

  • Anonymous

it was disappointing for the younger crowd. It had originally been marketed towards her younger fans, but it ended up being a somewhat inappropriate display of provocative costumes and hard core strutting moves that were not appropriate for younger kids. Plus, the cost of the tickets, nearly $100 each, was outrageous and we weren’t even that close to the stage. And, the t-shirts at $35-$40 each, was just ridiculous. There is simply no need to charge that much for a shirt that costs about $4.00 to make. Despite this, I know that my girls did have a great time, it’s just sad to see that Ms. Cyrus feels she has to go to that level of performing.

  • Anonymous

Miley puts on an incredible show. She is very talented and we look forward to her future work. The show was well worth the money.

  • Anonymous

Last night me and three of my friends saw Miley Cyrus in Oakland, California. Her concert was the best thing ever and it was way more than a concert….it was a show! She had so many amazing special effects, really amazing dancing, and awesome props. There was always cool props on stage and she flew, was on a car, and so many other cool things!!! The song choice was awesome and she showed a clip from her new movie, The Last Song. I would definitely recommend this concert to any teenager, but it may have been a little much for some of the younger kids. Especially since she was only Miley, not Hannah Montana at all, the concert was directed to an older crowd and younger ones wouldn’t have known as many songs. But I’m sure they would still love it, especially with all cool effects on stage!!! It was so amazing and Miley looked at us three times and waved to us once because we were in the fourth row on the side, directly in front of the cat walk!

Favorite moment: Her grand entrance, when she played “When I look at you” from The Last Song, when she flew over the audience, great dancing.

  • Anonymous

The opening act was disgusting especially when he removed his shirt to display all his tatoos. The average age of the kids watching this concert was probably 10 years old. This display was not appropriate for them. Miley’s moves and those of her dancers were also to sexually suggestive for these kids. I will never take my daughter to see one of Miley’s concerts again.

  • Anonymous

The sound system was terrible…couldn’t hear the singers clearly…only one television-and view was blocked by lighting equipment. Seemed more like a punk rock concert than a Miley Cyrus concert. My daughter had a good time though-that’s all that mattered.

  • Anonymous

I took my 11 year old daughter to this concert. I bought the tickets at 10:00 am the day they went on sale and clicked best available when purchased. My tickets were on the very top row of the arena. The open band, Metro Station were not any good and the songs they sang were not age appropriate. Several mothers were covering their children’s ears when they were singing. Miley’s were not much better. It took too long to switch stages. When Miley did appear she only sang for 1 hr 20 min.

  • Anonymous

Miley screamed the entire concert! She has such a beautiful voice but did not show it at this concert. I thought when she did The Climb maybe she would finally tone it down and show what a great voice she has, but no, more screaming. The concert should have been rated PG or even PG-13. Her butt was hanging out of her shorts and there were way too many pelvic thrusts. This concert was not appropriate for all the little 4 and 5 year old girls I saw there and should have been promoted that way. My daughter who is 10, said “what happened to her?” We all knew she had to transition but REALLY, this is not the way.

  • Anonymous

The ticketless experience was quite a pain, as I had to find some to buy the 2 remaining tickets since my daughter had the flu. The person showed up late and then stood the entire show blocking the kids behind us- who then complained the entire concert.
If Miley really wanted to make the concert more affordable, she wouldn’t be charging $35 for a cheap tee-shirt and $20 for a program! Let alone $100 Ticket!!!
The show had too such sex orientation, for kids under 10, the fact that her brother took off his shirt with may too many tats to explain to my 6yr old, and the sexual dancing was not what I was looking for when I paid $100 a ticket. (for a kids concert)

Miley Cirus brother opened the concert, I didn´t like it at all, because he was not apropiated for little girls, he take off his shirt and talked about his tattooes, not a good example at all for Girls 13 years old and under, girls do not need so much of these influence to have fun during a Concert. Miley Cirus presentation was really poor on dancings steps , she did the same head movement through all the songs. She was not
friendly, I mean she didn´t do any special interaction with public, it was very impersonal concert. I got dissapointed.

The Miley Cyrus show was awesome. all of her costume changes and gimicks were really cool. the dancers were fabulous and kept the show fun. You can tell they are all friends. Miley did a good job sounding great until the end.

I brought my daughter to her concert and I felt like we received half of a performance. At one point Miley indicated she was not feeling well, so in my opinion I think she cut her songs short and the concert ended just after only 1hour. I would like a refund!

I loved that concert and so did my family and friends. My favorite part was was when she was flying on the motorcycle. I also loved her brother’s band. IT ROCKED!!!!!

The sound was horrible – we had good seats up close but couldn’t hear anything. And the opening act was one of the worst bands I have ever heard. Her clothing was inappropriate for the audience as well as her gestures. my daughter asked to leave only 4 songs into MIley’s set.

  • Anonymous

Let’s just say she is targeting her music to an entirely different market. She scremed many of the songs and when she got to the one song my girls liked, The Climb, her voice was so shot she could not hit the notes. Her brother the opening act was twice as bad as she was. They were both very Gothic/hard rock. It was like all the kids in the audience were confused on where the Miley they knew went. Very dissapointing based on the high price of the ticket. She did not interact at all with the crowd. All she could say is hi Arkansas let’s make some noise.

  • Anonymous

The opening bands comment of “ladies, I know you’re ready to take your clothes off” is completely inappropriate for a concert that targets children & teenagers. His decision to take off his shirt (even by his own comment he was told not to) and display his full-body tattoos again was not appropriate as it is frightening for the younger children. Miley’s attire was completely inappropriate for a role model, but I can let this slide recognizing that I tend to be more modest in my parenting. However, I cannot get over the opening band (which is, by the way, Miley’s older brother) and their inappropriate and offensive act. Sadly this concert was chosen for my daughter as a special event and I now feel horrible for taking her and exposing her to this. I cannot recommend this for anyone with children or teenagers…but isn’t that the point of the concert?

    My Life Lyrics:

Got a call from an old friend
We used to be real close
Said he couldn’t go on the American way
Closed the shop, sold the house
Bought a ticket to the West Coast
Now he gives them a stand-up routine in L.A.

I don’t need you to worry for me cause I’m alright
I don’t want you to tell me it’s time to come home
I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life
Go ahead with your own life, and leave me alone

I never said you had to offer me a second chance
(I never said you had to)
I never said I was a victim of circumstance
    (I never said)
I still belong, don’t get me wrong
And you can speak your mind
    But not on my time

They will tell you, you can’t sleep alone in a strange place
Then they’ll tell you, you can’t sleep with somebody else
Ah, but sooner or later you sleep in your own space
Either way it’s okay, you wake up with yourself

I don’t need you to worry for me cause I’m alright
I don’t want you to tell me it’s time to come home
I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life
Go ahead with your own life, and leave me alone

I never said you had to offer me a second chance
(I never said you had to)
I never said I was a victim of circumstance
    (Of cirumstance)
I still belong, don’t get me wrong
And you can speak your mind
    But not on my time

I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life

Full of energy, constantly moving, good sound. Miley was strong. Staging was great. Good transitions, tons of costume changes but they did not slow the show. Good use of video and dancers to assist transitions. No hannah which was fine for me. Miley clearly identifies her own persona and makes mixes her pop history with her more rock influenced music well.

Her movie that came out this spring was great and I guess that is the Miley that we expected to see

    ———–

    Aw I’m sorry.
It seems most concerts are rather about the quality of their show than their actual music. I think people would care less if an artist just sat in the middle of the stage, a guitar in hand as they sung what they’re on that stage for in the first place. It would actually be more intimate than trying to get closer to the fans by doing all of this elaborate junk.
