If a song is super close to a person's heart, it will make them cry every time they sing/hear it.
Selena has a good voice I just feel like she underestimates herself a lot. Like, if there's a high note that she needs to hit, she underestimates her ability to hit it and goes into her head voice as opposed to singing from the diaphram. She should stop thinking about it so much, and let loose.
Disney is embarising themselves trying to make her a singer! She is just awful! The onlt people who like her as a singer are her younger fans. She is simply the worst performer on Disney!

Lady Gaga is extremely talented and unique. And 'she sounds like a man'? It's called being an alto. However, Lady Gaga can reach really high notes too so, what on earth is your point?
Comparing Selena to Taylor isn't an insult. It's a compliment. Selena has just started singing, you expect her to get a grammy within months? Last time I checked, you don't HAVE to win a grammy to be worth something in the industry. There are plenty of wonderful actresses who have been in tons of movies and have never won an Oscar in their lives, but they're worth something because the effort is there, and so is the talent.

I think its a matter of her not having enough passion for it. And that translates into lack of presence on stage, not enough ''charisma'' or ''spark''. I mean, this may only be because she is SO new to the scene so time will only tell if this is her calling or just a Disney requirement for the resume....
Right now, watching her on stage...she's like a flat coke, you know...not enough soda! and like i said, could be cuz she's new but then again, Miley, Demi, Taylor...all of her peers when they started out where SO confident (Miley headlined a tour and rocked out huge stages at a very young age) and even way before this...Mandy Moore, heck even Ashlee simpson had more ''oomph'' than Sel.
But again, time will tell and i only wish her the best. Hope she doesnt end up like Hilary Duff or Lindsay Lohan, whom might have had some music success but never had that spark at all...

in my opinion, if you're a good enough of singer to have a record contract, your voice should not be drown out by the instruments. and it not all due to the quality of the video, because when she talking i can hear her just fine. plus if her singing was affect by the quality of the video, then the msuic the instruments should be affected too.
