Kellan Lutz is being to considered for the role of 'Beth Michaels' love interest in The Seven Rays, about a girl who discovers she has supernatural and psychic powers. Selena Gomez is in talks to play the lead role, and on The Today Show, the author Jessica Bendinger said, 'Kellan Lutz has expressed interest in staring as the lead.' The leading male role is as Richie Mac 'the hottest boy in town' who becomes obsessed with Beth.
Jessica blogged: 'Kellan was a total pro and a pleasure to work with [on the movie Stick It], and I would work with him again in a heartbeat. When my book was in galley form, I asked Kellan if he’d be willing to read it. Not only did he respond immediately, but he read the book immediately, too. i think selena and kellan could do well together. kellan is an amazing actor and could pull of the part well, as could selena. i think all the hype with the age difference is a little ridiculous. it's not like they're actually together, it's a movie, not real life and in movies and tv shows people are required to act a certain age or have a love interest with people older or younger then them. it's just how it works. if it happens that selena and kellan do this film, when the finished product emerges and if it's good, people wouldn't and shouldn't really care.
That would be really good, although the age gap may seem weird although it would be great to see, Selena moving on from disney would be good too. Kellan and Selena are amazing so I think they could pull it off.
