Celebrities are usually just that by acting, singing, designing clothes. Another words, work. That's their job. Their job is to keep you entertained with what they do, and what they love. It isn't to tell you about their personal lives. They don't owe you that.
Most of the time when celebrities come out about their relationship, people don't leave it alone and it often causes the breakup between the two. They just can't handle the exposure. So it's easier to handle it privately, that way it'll most likely last longer.
Example. Joe finally coming out about him dating Camilla Belle publicty. What happened a few months later? They broke up
