Not everyone is religious. Religion and state should be separate. Just because YOU don't believe they should get married because of your religion doesn't mean that you have the right to keep two people who truly love each other and don't believe in the same thing as you to get married.

Here's the thing, though. Getting married is a religious cerimony. Whether you like it or not, it is. So, churches shouldn't be forced by the state to allow gay marriage if we're following your logic. That would be violating the church's first amendment rights. If gay couples can find a church willing to marry them, go for it, but don't force churches to perform a religious cerimony against their wishes.
