Nick Jonas chatted with MTV about his Critics’ Choice Awards gig, airing Friday @ 9 PM on VH1: ‘There’s a lot of songs that I have to learn still. It’s kind of hard to believe it’s coming up so quickly. There’s a lot of songs that I have to learn still, but I’m looking forward to it. It’s an honor to be a part of that show, and knowing that I’m going to be playing it with the band is comforting, considering they are very experienced and they’ve got a pretty good grip on what they’re doing.
[The producers of the show and I] work together on this one to come up with a list of songs that I feel comfortable with and that they were comfortable with as well. It’s a big list, but it should be good to see it all come together.’
Nick is secretly looking forward to Sunday’s Golden Globes, where Ricky Gervais will be hosting, because his favorite movie of 2009 isn’t in the running for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award. ”The Invention of Lying’ was my favorite movie from this past year. I think that Ricky Gervais is hilarious, and that kind of dry comedy in that film is something that I love.’
