the last group of TRUE talent that came out of disney was the crew of the Mickey Mouse Club in the 90's. that's how we ended up with britney, christina, justin, etc.

Honestly, it kind of makes sense that so many Disney actors sing too, or at least have decent voices. (Maybe not record deal amazing, but at least listenable and decent)
They probably started off by doing some theatre acting, and a LOT of theatre is actually musicals, so in order to get a part, you have to have some sort of singing ability.
This is only if they started off by doing community theatre, though.
