Good Luck Charlie Has 'Full House Feel'

Goodly Luck Charlie SEASON ONE Preview. Jason Dolley, 18, chatted with TV Guide about his new show Good Luck Charlie with Bridgit Mender: 'When I read [the script], I was like, 'Oh, this is kind of cool. This is a little different,' It has a Full House kind of feel. It's very family-friendly. Families can sit down and watch this and get a real laugh. I think that's what's been cool about it from the start and what's still cool about it today.'

Charlie gives Jason the chance to play an 'older, more grown-up, realistic' character. He's not the smartest guy in the family, but he's not dumb. He's super-nice. He's sort of a ladies' man too, very suave. He's a wannabe rocker. He loves to play the guitar, but he's not super-good.'

Jason is the youngest of four boys in real life, but he was never picked on. On his TV siblings: 'They're definitely more typically antagonistic, which is something I have to learn how to do! We never really fought. ..Also, I don't know what it's like having a sister. I guess not having one, I treat girls a lot more gently than I would a guy. So the idea of picking on a girl, I'm like, 'That's kind of messed up!''

On the show: 'There's lots of fun stuff coming up. I have no idea how the season is going to end. I think there's potential for a cliff-hanger with relationships and stuff like that," he says. "I don't think that's the way they're going to go with it right now. ..If we do have a cliff-hanger, hopefully we'll be back! I think people will respond to the show. Family sitcoms are definitely missing and missed.'

I love the idea of GLC. A girl making a video diary for her baby sister. It's new, and different.
But the show itself kills it for me. I despise laughing tracks. It's so fake.

The only feel I got from this show is that it is not worth watching even though I like Bridget.

The idea sounded good, but I didn't like the pilot. Hopefully it will get better. =/ I don't know why I can't really get myself to like Bridgit Mendler.

(: its just really neat. And its the first real family Disney has had for a show since Lizzie McGuire, now you have Wizards,Psychics and Rockstars livin' the dream...I saw the pilot and loved this show,I have a good feeling about it.. but no,it won't beat Full House..

Why would they call it "Good Luck Charlie?" That sounds too much like the title of that awful movie Good Luck Chuck. Of all the things they could have named the character, and of all the words and all the titles they could have used, they go with something virtually identical to something else that already exists. That is lame and lazy.

Wow! What a disappointment. The jokes fell flat and the acting...well all I have to say is, who picked Bridget Mendler? That girl couldn't act to save her life!
