Male music leader Justin Bieber will retain #1 slot on Billboard 200 albums chart next week, with another 92,000 in sales for My World 2.0. It has sold more than 760,000 copies in its first month. MGMT debuted at #2 (66,000), according Nielsen SoundScan [Via MTV].
Idol Gives Back performer Justin told MTV he might have tried out for American Idol: ‘For sure! You know.. we used to watch [the show]. Me and my mom used to watch it when I was little and we were like, ‘I could get on there, you know.’ When I turned 16, I might have went and tried out, but this was faster.’
Justin stopped by Idol to help out with charitable organizations: ‘It was great. I was just there. I didn’t really work with any of the contestants. I was there supporting Usher when he performed.‘ Idol exec producer on Justin performing:
‘I looked at that night as a good night for him to be on, because he’s absolutely phenomenal. And he’s young and he’s a real inspiration for [the] young generation, so it was a really good fit for him to be in that special episode.’
