Jonas Brothers ROCK FOR DIABETES

jonas-diabetes

Jonas Brothers will be performing at the home of Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman as part of the Rock For Diabetes event on May 16. The show is being organized by Nick’s diabetes doctor, Dr. Francine Kaufman. General admission tickets are $1000 and $2500 for the VIP package. Via CallUsFreaks.

that’s a great idea, and it’s a good cause and all.
but theres not many fans who can spend 1000 dollars for one ticket.

  • Anonymous

Probably the DOCTOR who is organizing it is going to pay them and not ticket sales.

Umm, get your facts straight. The doctor is NOT paying them. She happens to be Nick’s endocrinologist (the doctor that treats him for his diabetes) and I’m sure she asked Nick if they would donate their time for this cause and they agreed to.

Trust me, the Jonas family pays HER more in medical bills to treat Nick than she’d be paying them to appear.

The tickets sales all go to the Children Diabetes Hospital in Los Angeles you idiots! The JOnas Brothers don’t make money off charitable gigs. I really think some people…must be Beiber fans…are too stupid to exist! Really.

Here they are doing something good for a charitable organization to raise money for kids who are newly diagnosed with diabetes and people are bad mouthing them. This isn’t meant to be a teenie fan event…it’s a fundraiser.

    Grow up!

  • @Livin4Jonas

The Jonas Brothers don’t put the prices. The organizer does. And ALL the tickets sales goes to The Diabetes foundation. SO SHUT UP!

agreed this is not cool for the jonas brothers to be acting like their fans are made out of money, having their tickets for $1000 i could live with $100 bucks.

i know they are gonna say it is going to be for a great cause crap. BUT HELLO WHEN THE JONAS BROTHERS PERFORM OR APPEAR THERE IS Appearance/PERFORMANCE FEE. Probably the DOCTOR who is organizing it is going to pay them and not ticket sales.

ugghhh i lost interest in them now. can’t stand them

Next Jonas Brothers should do a concert for literacy because a ton of people on here can’t read.

IT IS FOR CHARITY. Not a regular concert for your average fan.

It is a wonderful thing they are doing. Young stars trying to give back. And they get grief for it.

They aren’t getting any of the money. Are you all unable to understand how it works? So great of them to always be giving to others. This isn’t taking money from fans. This is donating time and talent to help the hospital raise money to help others. I bet you are too young to know that children’s hospitals have equipment and experts who deal with young people and even more than most hospitals they have a good number of patients who cannot pay for their services. They receive help anyway. If it weren’t for donations they couldn’t help those who couldn’t pay. The Jonas Brothers are generous people to help with this funraiser.

  • Anonymous

duh people. These invites aren’t going out to regular fans. This is for bigwigs who have big $$ to donate. It will prob. be execs, actors, musicians, their kids, etc.

It is an excellent thing they are doing for an excellent cause.

This isn’t a concert for fans. It is a hospital fund raiser. These go on all the time. These are inexpensive prices for this kind of fundraiser. They are fun but expensive. They receive no money whatsoever for this concert. You obviously have never been to this type of thing before.

Ah! Someone with a brain on here! They are donating their time, not doing this to raise money.

I FAIL. I meant to say not doing this to MAKE money.

  • JoeJonasGirl0676

i love devito. he’s so awesome and funny. i’m glad he’s doing this. :) I wonder how many people are gonna go to a private concert at his house. LOL

    Just kidding really.

    I’m out.

People need to know that when they type “fail” at the end of their message they sound really stupid. OK CAROLA!!!

Get a grip people. This concert is for people with serious $$$$ I have no problem with JB doing this. I hope they raise an outrageous amount of money to help people like Nick with Diabetes!!!

  • Anonymous

It’s a shame that most of you don’t get it that this concert is not meant for their regular fans. It is a fundraiser for celebrities, corporations, etc. who CAN afford to donate money like that. It’s embarrassing as a Jonas fan to read some of these ignorant comments from idiots who only think of themselves. The Jonas Brothers are some of the most giving, charitable, celebrities out there, and some of you shit on their intentions. Grow the f*ck up. God, I don’t know why I come on this site.

  • LAU_JB_MUÑ3KITA

    WOW IT’S SO NICE

    BUT IT’S MANY EXPENSIVE

  • fullmooncrazy.

People need to chill. Yes the economy sucks and people are not doing well financially, but charities are suffering too, and they NEED the money! The charity will make a ton of money because of the people who are able to pay.

Plus, keep in mind that his house is not going to be the size of an arena with a 20,000 person capacity, so if they can only hold around 200 people, they need to charge a lot to each of them. 200 people x 1,000 per ticket = 200,000 towards diabetes research! And when it comes to how they come up with ticket prices, the Jonas Brothers have nothing to do with that. That is something that the event organizers, not the performers, decide on.

The Jonas Brothers don’t make a dollar from this performance because IT’S FOR CHARITY! What’s next, Joe demanding money to be a Special Olympics spokesperson?! Celebrities do not profit financially from charitable events. They only require to be paid if they’re doing other non-charity related work.

I think it’s great that they’re doing this! Diabetes is a cause close to all of their hearts for obvious reasons! To criticize them for anything related to this event is really rude and quite frankly ridiculous! It’s for charity people, so have a heart and look at the positives, that they want to be a positive voice for a worthy cause and find a cure for a life changing disease.

This is a great idea. I am sure the foundation itself will attract many people that can afford to donate just to help the cause. It is not supposed to be a concert for fans and they did not set the price and they are not being paid. It is at Danny Devito’s house I am sure it will be a lot of high society-profile people, not teeny bopper fans. I hope they raise a lot.

Excellent point. They are always trying to give back and some people just don’t or won’t appreciate it. Seems like they get grief no matter what they do. Sad that only OU and some smaller sites are the only ones that ever report on the good things they do. I bet hardly anyone but fans knows some of the causes and charities they have supported.

  • Nixienemi

I love how they’re doing this to raise money for a cure for diabetes!
    It makes me happy! =]

Again….it’s a fundraiser. In LA, there are thousands of people who can afford to pay $1000 for a ticket to a charitable event like this. It’s for a good cause and it’s tax deductible.

  • Anonymous

its really awesome that theyre doin that but $1000 per ticket? thats kinda craazy.

that’s really cool that they’re doing that :D

typically jonas brothers getting money from fans. I know it is for a great cause but come on they should look at their demographic and the type of fans.

90 percent don’t even have jobs.

this is what pisses me off about the jonas brothers seriously
