Justin Bieber, 'I Didn't Brand Myself'
Justin Bieber chatted to Popstar! about being on Nickelodeon and Disney. On his acting career: 'I'm not with Nickelodeon [exclusively]. I might do stuff with Disney. I didn't brand myself. You know how people sign to Disney and Hollywood Records, they have them, basically, they're in a contract for so many years with Disney. They can't do anything [else].'
Justin added that he has no plans to commit permanently to Disney Channel: 'I think it's harder. If I were to sign with Disney, people would say, 'He's a little cookie cutting, whatever. The Jonas Brothers, I'm not saying anything bad about them. They're good, I like what they do and same with Miley, but all of their songs are about, like, 'Everything's perfect and everything's good.'
He feels that being independent allows him greater freedom with his music: 'On my album, there are songs about love and just having a good time, but there's stuff on my album that's about true life stuff like having my parents split up when I was really young. Just songs about real like that makes sense that teens can relate to. Not corny stuff.'

His songs are so inspiring and so easy to relate to. The line "You're the common denominator, oh, oh, ohh, oh..." makes my heart melt. A whole song full of being compared to mathematical things is the furthest thing from corny. I just wish I were the girl he wrote that for. I mean, his people wrote for.. her... yeah. When I first heard it, I just thought: "Wow! His songs are so relatable!" They HAD, but this tour doesn't look very successful to me, since there are thousands of Jonas fans saying they won't go because of the crappy Camp Rock stuff. Secondly, I never said you said it was their first tour. I was trying to say, if this was their first tour and they ONLY these kind of tours then I would see your point but they don't. It's called company loyalty something you should have not matter who you're with.
& It's not like they can just cancel a tour that is already planned just because some people don' like it. A lot people would be losing money/jobs.

No. I'm not a Bieber fan, and I'm a Jonas fan, but he does have a point about Disney. Disney got JB, Demi, Selena into this whole drama and PR and the shit that's happening now. I'm glad Miley got out of it, but Justin is right. The things he said about the songs though, he doesn't have any better songs than them.
I took offence to the last comment but even I'm not going to that concert. CR2 doesn't need to be promoted anymore than it is now.

The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus songs are not corny?! Pretty much all of the songs on Justins album are about love, except that one about his parents. Same with the Jonas Brothers and Miley? He's not that different from them. And I mean 'Baby' come ON! That's not corny at all Justin... -.-

I agreed with him on the fact that Disney takes over lives, but he sounds ignorant stating that his songs are better because he isn't Disney. Especially when Miley and the Jonas Brothers have songs relating to their real lives. I like Justin, but his songs are pretty much about crushing on girls. How /deep/. It's not an attitude, it's the crappy Disney bitches they are. I'm sick of it, and I don't care if I'm not 'being a true fan' like most people say these days, but they've been getting into this shit for long enough. Oh, and I know they can't cancel the tour just because some (most of the fans) don't like it, they will do it, but I honestly think it's not gonna do well. My thoughts though.

Agreed on your part with Justin. His songs are corny. They're all about girls and love. Only song I like is That Should Be Me. Although I do like his 'real instruments' performances these days.
