There were lots of good songs and great singers/performers in the competition. I think Lena's Satellite won because it was catchy and joyous and not overdone or contrived. Lena just sang and looked like she was enjoying herself. She didn't have to rely on all the whizz-bang! Congratulations Lena!

I'm from Ireland so obviously I wanted Ireland to win but kinda knew that wouldnt happen because we don't have any neighbours except the UK. Niamh Kavanagh won the eurovison back in 1993 and Irelands won it about 7 times, just goes to show how much the competion has changed in terms of voting considering she actuallly did a very good performance. Europe must hattteee Ireland, only 3 or 4 countries gave us any points out of the 29 countries that voted.
I thought maybe Poland would have given us at least 1 point? but nope

A large % of the competition is now Eastern European , the original countries should pull out.
