Emma Roberts chatted with The Times about whether she would go nude and how often she smokes: 'I would show my back and my butt on camera, but I would never go topless. Going topless is so tasteless, and I prefer to leave all that stuff to people’s imagination.' On being in the spotlight:
'You feel very adult, sitting in London with a glass of wine, but because you’re not allowed to do it in LA, it is seen as bad.' On her smoking habits: 'It’s just kind of tough that I’m not allotted any room to make mistakes. I smoke occasionally. But because it’s me, it’s like, ‘Oh my God! You’re a terrible influence’.'

Your lungs are going to regret that in the future. My grandpa's lungs were rotten before he passed away, he died from a brain hemorrhage. He had complications later in life because of smoking and alcohol.

You actually can smoke occasionally. I'm not endorsing smoking or saying that you should smoke, because you really shouldn't, but I know a lot of people who just smoke socially, like when they're at a party every now and then. They are by no means addicted to it, trust me, I live with a couple of them. I think it depends on who you are and how easily you become addicted to things. Again, I'm not supporting smoking, but Emma is an adult and can do whatever she wants to make her happy, and if that happens to be smoking, then so be it. It's her decision.
let her do what she wants, it's legal and people can look up to who they want. I look up to Miley, but I don't copy her every move. There's a difference between having a ROLE MODEL and COPYING THEIR EVERY MOVE.

smoking doesn't always kill, yes it is bad for you but that doesn't mean it's going to kill every person that smokes. and yeah if you don't smoke very often it's obviously less likely you will DIE. it isn't that big of a deal because no one gives a shit about emma's personal life to be honest.

Even though she smokes occasionally I know somebody, who doesn't really smoke but once in a while has lung cancer a little because she still smoked.

SMoking isnt the worst thing in the world. Sure, *excessive* smoking can cause cancer and other diseases, but a cigarette every now and then wont kill you. Your lungs can recover from a *lifetime* of chain smoking in just a few months after quitting, so one or two cigarettes a week is nothing your body can't handle. People make it seem like its possible to pick up cancer or lung disease the instant you stick a single cigarette in your mouth. It doesnt work that way.
It's actually much much worse for your health to be a carpenter and breathe in sawdust air (or any number of jobs like painting, farming, etc. where you are breathing in fumes or dirty air all day) than to be a smoker. These occupations have a higher mortality rate due to cancer and damaged lungs than smokers.
Emma's an adult. Adults are allowed to make their own decisions, which sometimes mean they do "bad" things like drink or smoke or swear! If you can't get that, then its probably past your bedtime.

Yes, smokIng is extremly stupid, and yes, it will kill you or completely ruin your life, but I kind of agree with Emma here.
She's an adult, just like millions of other Americans, and she has just as much a right as them to do what she wants, within reason. There are plenty of adult chain smokers and lung cancer victims out there to go around. Why is Emma Roberts getting the rap for it? Cause she's famous. No, hardcore Disney fans, she's not a nobody and she's most definitly not just an Unfabulous star. She's a beautiful young woman with a bright career ahead of her. That said, smoking might ruin this for her, but it's her life. I would advise her against smoking, seeing as, crudely put, it's suicide. But I'm not gonna come on a teen gossip site and tell ANYBODY how to live their life, and neither should you.
Trust me I'm 20 and I've smoked on occasions, it's possible to smoke casually and become addicted. There's people in the world who get addicted to drugs, alcohol, weed, cigarettes, and even food. You can honestly get addicted to a lot of things but people do have the will power to not become addicted or dependent on cigarettes.

Check the facts, she would have vertigo from occasionally smoking. That's my fucking point, she is claiming she does it occasionally which we all know is bullshit. I don't believe anyone who says they occasionally smoke considering every time I tired to do it vertigo hit me & hard. I don't see why it would work any different for the occasional smoker.
