I know exactly what you're talking about.
When he's being interviewed he drums his fingers and taps his feet like his brain is working faster than the pace of the interview or he's impatient to add something when someone else is talking.
My friend laughs at me for this...but he's a very slow blinker. I remember seeing that video of him when he was little and I think it's instinctive, because he did it back then.

Sometimes I think it's a nervous habit.
I think your point about nervous habit may be correct mainly because I also notice that he crosses his arms a lot when interviewed which totally contradicts his normally confident demeanour - I think this is a shyness/defensive thing - I think he's not quite as self-assured as he'd like us to think he is - sensitive boy!

You're so smart and you're right. I think he's trying to seem self assured, but isn't always, especially if the other boys aren't there.

Alot of people who know him personally have said he can be very shy and quiet. And also a little insecure. Why - I have NO idea.
Jerz, this is a good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjBfI4ZpDX0
---------------------
Dude - that was up in Boston last summer. I have that bookmarked. And that is exactly the outfit he's wearing in my M&G pix. He's just missing the fanny pack.
And yes, I notice the slow-blinking. His eyes - <3

BB should know he's got it all going on.
------
Even though he's told this everyday by countless people, if he doesn't believe it himself it doesn't matter. And the people around him need to believe it...and I don't think they do. Not naming any names *coughPapaJcough*
I also think he takes full guilt for the end of his relationships, when he shouldn't.
I also heard his Mom say that as a child he was very quiet and shy and took a lot of the blame for things that Kevin did (Kevin you naughty what-not you .. tut tut)
Whatever, I think we're all completely agreed that he's an awesome human being and we adore him - I know I'm speaking for myself mainly but I've no doubt you'll all concur )

Ok, so story time: Get some milk and cookies.
When I met Joe last year, a mutual friend introduced us and I was like a brand new fan and new NOTHING about them. But I went to the show and my friend brought me back for a quick second. I talked to Joe first and we were shooting the shit and I was stupidly mentioned that I didn't really listen to their music until that point.
But I went on to say some nice things about LVTT and how I thought I would become a huge fan. And then I told him that he was so nice, surprisingly and I couldn't believe how cordial he was being for someone so famous and about to go on stage and he was like "Really? That's such a nice thing to say." Like he'd never heard that before in his life. He was like totally surprised.
And I wasn't ass kissing, I just spoke to him like a regular person.
So the moral of the story is he's very humble and has no idea sometimes of his affect on people.
Changing the subject totally, has anyone got wind of where Joe is going to in Africa - can't wait to see the photos. When he said that this would be life changing I don't think that he knows yet just how true that will be. I went to Kenya a couple of years ago and the experience was amazing BUT .... God what a culture shock.

Well he said he's visiting the orphanage that JB's foundation helps support. I don't know where it is in Africa though. I think Hoffman is going too so I'm sure we'll be seeing pix.
Danger-ous - I'm just like you, 12 months ago I'd never heard of JB - then last November a friend dragged me (almost literally) to one of their concerts and here we are .....
You're so lucky to have met him/them and the thing I respect about you is your no nonesense/non-sycophantic approach and to tell it like it is.

Aw, thank you. I don't have time for freaking out and spazzing, I think it's so silly. I am very, very lucky.
My friend who worked in event management with me for the past 2 Super Bowls went on to do their tour, so...I went to check out JB (totally last minute) and see him, but ended up getting there really late so I was hauling ass.
But yes, total new fan. I went to their Tampa show by deciding the day before with a friend as well. Best decision EVER!
Awww. So sweet. And you're so lucky to have gotten that moment with him.
Honestly what impressed me the most when I met them was how completely humble and sincere they all were. Being that it was during a Meet&Greet, I figured they would just be like "whatever" & move you right along. But they really talked to US, and looked us in the eye and seemed so appreciative of everything we said. IDK. I was just so impressed. And that's why I will always argue that they are good people.

Yes. They do. They truly aren't little monkeys just being told what to do. They are good, nice boys who I think really appreciate everything they have.
yeah,I think you're right,

I was like - God I can't believe I'm even doing this and only went along as a favour because no-one else would and otherwise she'd have missed out. Before the concert started I found myself surrounded by 12 year olds with their Moms and I admit I was somewhat embarrassed. However, the atmosphere took over and then ..... a certain Adonis rose up before my eyes on that circular stage and I was sold .......
The irony is my friend has totally moved on from JB now.

LOL. You got that right.
Actually, I lucked out last summer and was surrounded by alot of older fans like myself. No screeching maniac teenies. Which meant I was actually able to HEAR the JB singing. Unlike the previous two years before that where girls just constantly screamed "I LOVE YOU" all night long. Ugh.

Wow, you totally just described my entire JB fandom experience. That is EXACTLY what happened for me. We were on the rain side for Tampa and prior to the show I was kicking it at the bar, mingling.
Then the show started and at some point Joe came down the catwalk and I saw him up close and I was like "Hello. I love you."

My problem is though - this year, I've actually got the luxury of two venues near me to go and see them in this CR2 fiasco. OK, I'm not so proud that I can't put aside my dislike for this crap and a certain person and go along ....... what's everyone else doing? OK, I'll admit it I'm going especially now that the bad romance is over, are you?

OH, I clearly and blatantly hated the CR bullshit from day one. I don't have tickets to any shows, but I'm still on the fence. They are coming right to Orlando and I would be foolish not to go see them.
Hate Demi, hated her with Joe, think she's bad news, glad he dumped her. Those are my feelings.

IDK what I'm doing yet. Haven't gotten tix. Hate the whole "idea" of this tour; hate the venue they're playing in. I'm thinking I'll wait to purchase tix from a broker a week before the date. Cheap tickets will be the ONLY thing that will make the other nonsense tolerable.

Yeah, I agree. He's going to see what else can be done to help and hopefully bring some more awareness to the situation.
Ditto there also. Don't have tickets because they've not gone on sale here yet but I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing that he was less than 20 miles away from me and I hadn't gone - so it's a done deal I guess.
That's how I feel, plus there is all this hoopla surrounding their concert already b/c they will be the first act in our new arena so...no way I couldn't go. I live 4 minutes from the Arena.

Well, we've got to do it then haven't we. My friend (yes, her who doesn't like them anymore and is doing ME a favour this time) said "we'll get snacks when SHE'S on", I said "can't we get them before she comes on and throw them at her?". I suppose that would be counter productive though as we'd probably get thrown out - so I'll have to restrain myself.

My friend laughs at me for this...but he's a very slow blinker. I remember seeing that video of him when he was little and I think it's instinctive, because he did it back then.
Oh God, you're right he is a slow blinker but I hadn't noticed really until now.
Right? At first I thought he was trying to be sexy, but he really has done it since he was little.

Sometimes I think it's a nervous habit.
BRB................
*goes to watch Joe's eyes in a JB video*
Watch him when he's talking, I haven't ever seen any JB music videos so I don't know if he does it in those.
Wow, I just realized I've never seen any of their videos.

BB should know he's got it all going on.

Dude - that was up in Boston last summer. I have that bookmarked. And that is exactly the outfit he's wearing in my M&G pix. He's just missing the fanny pack.
And yes, I notice the slow-blinking. His eyes - <3

Even though he's told this everyday by countless people, if he doesn't believe it himself it doesn't matter. And the people around him need to believe it...and I don't think they do. Not naming any names *coughPapaJcough*
I also think he takes full guilt for the end of his relationships, when he shouldn't.
I also heard his Mom say that as a child he was very quiet and shy and took a lot of the blame for things that Kevin did (Kevin you naughty what-not you .. tut tut)
LMAO, Kevin. Figures.
Whatever, I think we're all completely agreed that he's an awesome human being and we adore him - I know I'm speaking for myself mainly but I've no doubt you'll all concur
)
Not really interested in Joe anymore. I'll take Nick instead.

God what a culture shock.
niiice joey bear. so cute
No idea where he's going but yes, I think it will be very eye opening but good for him. I'm glad he's already recognizing it will be life altering.

Well he said he's visiting the orphanage that JB's foundation helps support. I don't know where it is in Africa though. I think Hoffman is going too so I'm sure we'll be seeing pix.
I think John Taylor is going too.
Yummy!!!

Man, you girls are late to the JB party!

Yes. They do. They truly aren't little monkeys just being told what to do. They are good, nice boys who I think really appreciate everything they have.
yeah,I think you're right,
moreover..it seems like nick and kevin are closer to their parents than joe,he's always the left one, even frankie considers him his least favorite brother..aww baby :'( I hope I'm wrong
I know, I know. JB isn't really my target audience so give me some credit!
Ugh, holy beautiful icon Jersey.

Ugh.
You like? I'm playing around on photobucket with pix. I think it could be bigger though.
If only I put this much effort & dedication into school work. LOL

The end.

Haha. Well remember what we were talking about over on Twitter the other day re:our computers?
Yeah, I'm just adding to the embarrassment right now.
I really don't think joe should go to africa ..look at this http://jrocas.com.ph/archives/kevin-carter-%E2%80%93-photography-ethics/

Well ladies, it's been lovely chatting. But I'm off to start my weekend.
Ihasalil- hope to see you around here more often. Always nice to meet more Joe Ho's.
Danger-ous- Pleasure as always. I'll see YOU around the neighborhood. Later!
I'm out as well, it's Friday bitches!
Pleasure as well, nice to talk to articulate Joe Hoe's who aren't half past bananas.
XOXO
I know, but we all know how sensitive he is..I know he's not a baby, but he cried for camilla, think he won't get depression because of this ?
Well, we've got to do it then haven't we. My friend (yes, her who doesn't like them anymore and is doing ME a favour this time) said "we'll get snacks when SHE'S on", I said "can't we get them before she comes on and throw them at her?". I suppose that would be counter productive though as we'd probably get thrown out - so I'll have to restrain myself.

hey..no need to be mean
take care,anyways
Oh my, looking so fine Joe.
What a stud muffin.
Hey, where's Martin?
I think I know what "other ideas" you have for Joe, and I have the same ideas!
Dont think he has found the right girl yet - they have all been beautiful and talented and he certainly seemed in love with Camilla but that was a one sided relationship. Same as the relationship with Demi but this time she was the one more in love. Anyway for a young guy thats what dating is about until he find someone where the feelings are mutual and who shares his interests and really love Joe for himself. This may take a while!!!
I'll take him!
Joe stans are amazing. Thanks for the good real, y'all. Joe deserves it!

Is there really a need to bring up Joe's past breakups? Really? Its in the past, move on. They have, you should, too. There's no point in trying to make your point anymore. We all know how Joe was during that relationship. So stop.
As for the tour, I just said "Fuck it, I'll go". Mostly because of Mr. Joseph. Its another way to see him in person.
