But the whole play is pretty much sad except the wedding chorale scene. That is funny.

AS much as I love Nick Jonas, I'm not too sure about this. I cant see him playing this character at all. Marius is supposed to be older and tougher. Nick's voice just doesnt sound deep enough. But I will wait until I see before I judge.
If he does well with this I wouldn't doubt that Macintosh casts him in the movie as well.
Love this play. And this preview shows just what an honor it is to be hand-picked by Cameron to be in this cast. He has talent whether Disney's writers put it to good use or not.

In response to multiple comments, I think Nick will succeed in this. People think his voice isn't up to it, but I don't think it's been given a change. Theater music isn't what they have on their albums, so of course we don't know. But did you hear his vocals in stay? He can go high or low in just a second.
And his acting, Disney writers don't give them crap to work with. The script for the first season of Jonas was kinda pathetic. People should not be allowed to judge their acting from that.
Just wish I lived in London so I could see it :'(

I think Nick is going to do just fine. He has a theater background, acting experience, and a very good singing voice. Good for him for getting the chance to do this.

plus, Lea Salonga, the one who's playing Fantine, is amazing. She has one of the greatest voices ever. She played Kim, the lead role in Miss Saigon at 17. She is so amazing!You should really watch her singing.
