You must not have been using tampons for very long.

A tampon string can VERY easily be poking out of a swimsuit; you always have to check. It has to be long enough so that if it gets into your vage you can pull it out. Even when wearing shorts. Sometimes you accidentally get a glimpse up someone's shorts while sitting and the tampon string can be sticking out of the undies.
