dunno why. but this annoys me.
as much as i am proud of nick, with his amazing theatrical voice.. i dunno.. :|

I Can’t Wwit to see this!

he’s nothing compared to michael. but who cares, really. that’s not to say he doesn’t have any talent. he clearly does. i just wish he found a way to use his training and his “theatre voice” in jonas brothers concerts. because sorry, but he sounds squeaky and hoarse. his voice cracked like crazy at the cincinnati show
    —————————–
thats how his voice is like, you will never find someone who sounds like him. he can’t sing with his theatre voice in normal performances. do you think it would be ok for miley cyrus to sing like those broadway singers? there’s a huge difference stylistically between what the music types are, you have to fit it

The Les Mis 25th Anniversary performance is HUGE! People underestimate was a big accomplishment this is for Nick. It will allow him to be seen by literally millions worldwide, and he can show his theatrical voice (which is incredible).

And the US Les Miserables fans will go nuts to see this in theaters. Add Jonas fans, it will be a big event!

    Yup!

This really is a big event. Nick’s 2 months in London was all just in prep for this one night. There are going to be A LOT of eyes and ears on him. I wish him nothing but the best of luck!

Too bad the U.S. media only cares about movie stars and reality television. The talent associated with this concert is insane! I wish I could be in London. It would be worth the couple hundred for the ticket.

This is a big deal for Nick. Hopfully more people will respect him for this. But I have a feeling a lot of Les Mis fans are going to hate on him because he’s “no Michael Ball” but mostly because he’s a Jonas.

  • Anonymous

I took my daughter to see this at the cinema live (uk) cos she is a huge Jonas fan!! Just seeing her 8 year old little face light up when he came on made my night:-)
As a die hard Les Mis fan tho, I must admit, he was struggling a bit in the first act, but did seem to improve in the second. Luckily, although a main role, Marius doesn’t have to tackle the taxing vocal range or have the power that other leads do. I think that is why they have now taken to casting “popular” singers in the role of Marius (ie Gareth Gates here in the uk). I think that the Jonas brothers are good role models for my daughter, and they are very good at what they do. I believe it must have been an extremely nerveracking and humbling experience for Nick, and I think he equipped himself the best he could. Do not forget tho, he earned his right to be there as much as Michael Ball, as he was an original New York cast member as Gavroche!!!!

    OMG NO way!!!
    YEAAA!!!
I want to see this sooo bad now..

I FUCKING HATE MY LITTE DISRESPECTFUL ARROGANT COCKY AS HELL LITTLE BROTHER! no respect WHATSOEVER. damn him, may he burn in flames

that said :congrats nick, really proud! and cheers to cast of les mis!

I hate that he’s going to be held to the Michael Ball standard even though Micheal will be there in another role and is too old to play Marius anymore
    ————————
IA. some guy on youtube was cussing at nick saying how he was bad and how he ruined his les mis show. dude, if you knew nick jonas was going to be there, why did you buy tickets? what did you expect from a 17 yr old with a month of training? he has that natural voice and talent, that’s what matters

I hate that he’s going to be held to the Michael Ball standard even though Micheal will be there in another role and is too old to play Marius anymore. I think the average viewer is going to enjoy his performance, but the musical theater snobs (for lack of a better word) are predisposed to dislike him for a) stunt casting, b) not “earning” the honour, c) they probably have a favourite they feel could do better. Technically, all of that is true. I have no doubt that there are others who could do the role just as well or better, but I also believe Nick will do a great job and make us all proud. Cameron wouldn’t have cast him (regardless of his name) if this wasn’t the case.

exactly! i want to see michael ball’s album go gold in a week, or have 2 albums go platinum all over world. you can’t compare someone with little theatre experience to someone who’s done it for such a long time. then you will be so irrational

people stereotype them just because of that. then i see people who were die-hard anti jonas listen to their music and realize, there is no reason to hate them. they even apologize.

I have no respect for the opinions of people like that. The opinions I am going to value most are of those who have no idea who Nick is or at least that he will be there. The will be the people without biases (negative or positive).

a few have already started but I almost expected it because the site that I saw it from is full of whackos anyway.

IA. some guy on youtube was cussing at nick saying how he was bad and how he ruined his les mis show. dude, if you knew nick jonas was going to be there, why did you buy tickets? what did you expect from a 17 yr old with a month of training? he has that natural voice and talent, that’s what matters

that’s just really sad and pathetic of that guy. he must have been going just to bash him.

people stereotype them just because of that. then i see people who were die-hard anti jonas listen to their music and realize, there is no reason to hate them. they even apologize.

I wish I’d see more of that. I hardly see any anti Jonas people feeling bad about hating them. at the most they’ll hear a few Jonas songs and who knows if they really listen..it’s like they get stubborn and purposefully stay away from the music or they just can’t look beyond their disinterest of the music

I will be in Florida, so there will be a larger chance that one of their theatres will be playing, rather than in my home state. Yay!! I think nick sounded amazing from the recordings I have heard, people judge him only because he is a Jonas and an American popstar. If he was a nobody he would get better reviews. People are to judgmental against the jobros.

I agree he would get better reviews if he wasn’t and people need to stop being so judgmental against them. they didn’t do anything to deserve all the hate that they have got.

Seriously, it has been days, boy is smart laying so low under the radar, but he is missed. Love that little dude!

I’m missing photos too! I think it’s just hard for anybody to get a photo of him while he’s rehearsing at the O2 and the rest of the time you’d just run into him by chance. There’ll be concert photos tomorrow and apparently a red carpet.

To the person who said Nick’s concert voice was not very good. I can only tell you that at my show at Jones Beach, his voice was so amazing it shocked me. All I’d seen was you tube videos and wasn’t expecting his and Joe’s voices to be so spot on and almost perfect. Every thing, the guitar work and overall sound was actually BETTER than the recorded versions. Demi was amazing also. Every one has a bad night once in a while. Wasn’t your concert one of the really hot ones? Anyway, the you tube video of “Your Biggest Fan” from your concert shows his voice sounding really great. I don’t know about the other songs.
    ———————————
I do not know if it’s just perception, or how else to explain, maybe just a difference of opinion, but I thought he sounded great in Cincinnati,as did the others. It was one of the early stops on the tour, and yes it was really hot that night. I do not necessarily remember if there were moments here or there, I just know that overall I thought it was a great show.

This, but at the very least they’d respect his efforts. I mean he could be a lot worse…like Vanessa Hudgens in Rent.
