None of Demi's released albums have ever sold anywhere near 400,000-500,000, Eminem sells that much in two days while it takes Demi never, her 1st album has been released for more than TWO WHOLE years while her second album has been released for more than 360 days.. still no USA certifications, or any certification from any country for that matter. Demi's 2008 album hasn't even gotten a Gold certification yet neither has her 2009 album. All of her albums are flops, they debut high but sell little further on. So they have strong debuts in one chart (USA chart), then immediately drop and flop.
She's basically a nobody in the music world. All she has to her credit is two albums that topped one country's chart for a week and then bombed.

Since this are the AMAs, we are obviously talking about album sales in the US. And even though I'm a huge Miley fan, I have no problem to accept Mileys album flopped in the US. Heck most of Mileys albums sold more in one week than CBT in half a year.

I don't think you can really call that a flop. It's around the same as most artist did this year. I do think she lost sales cause her image change and the HM hype went away but she still proved that she could sell albums on her own.

that's good. i've been good as well =]. i'm going to public school now so i've been busy with that. i think i'm going to play on the basketball team this year. i love public school so much. lol. i haven't had much boy drama either. after my bf dumped me i decided to just take a break for a while & enjoy my senior year.

actually i think justins album is better. its better produced, it works for what it's trying to be achieve, aka sell and be entertaining. he's making the bubblegumy pop stuff that people likes, and he's doing it well
nick's new album on the other hand... he's trying too hard to be taken seriously as a musician when he doesnt really have the voice. he can't make that awesome- he isn't good enough and seems like he's pushing it, sorry. he's like a wannabe rocker... and what is his target audience for the new album anyway? people who like the bubblegumy pop stuff certainly wont love it.

not really. at first it was a little confusing to find all of my classes since it's a big school. lol. i hope i make the team too! it has been a lot of fun so far. & he was just too far away now that he's at college. the long distance thing didn't work out.
and tayor swift is a talented singer either.. maybe she should win for songwriter

Most of the songs on the radio are simply just fun to listen to and that's it. But the way i see it is when you love music you enjoy it because of the emotional or intellectual investment you put into it. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the stuff on the radio.
Justin has talent so please don't chuck him into the auto-tune category with Ke$ha and what not. Peace out.

Nick should've been nominated but in reality, these days only autotuned radio shit gets nominated for awards like these. Also music that does well on the charts.

It sucks how much album sales affect everything. Nick J def should of had a nom because of all the hard work he put into his album. He basically started over from that of his brothers, even playing in smaller venues, and his sound is much different from the bros...(and Bieber (who does have a good voice but likes to repeat words and make them a whole chorus--we get it.)) I must admit, it is sad not to see a Jonas name up there, so I hope their next album kicks ass
