I'm sympathetic towards the paparazzo, he's a guy who wants to pay his bills and probably emigrated from a poor country thus isn't as advantaged as we are (he probably doesn't have a university degree or high school diploma, maybe has a large family since it's the norm in poor countries to have big families).
Being followed by the paparazzi comes with territory, Shia should accept it instead of disrespecting this man. Shia should just accept that when you sign up for the job and become successful, being followed by paparazzi is part of the job. There is no way you can run away from it. The paparazzi guy is a human who needs to pay his bills and most likely couldn't get a job anywhere else because he doesn't have a university degree or high school diploma (there's no such thing as free high school education and free elementary school education in many countries around the world) and if you had to choose between being homeless and making money from photographing famous and rich people, what would you choose? god, some of these famous people are such ungrateful bastards. Without the paparazzi and media, they'd be back to being viewed as lowly entertainers that make 10 dollars a week for juggling and singing in a clown suit.

If these were two normal guys they would have reacted the same. Just because you have a camera doesn't mean you can insult people on the street.
Somebody said something about respect. That works both ways, respect has to be earned, if you don't respect the privacy and feelings of a celebrity then don't expect them to respect you.
