Uhm, seriously, you can;t just keep bringing up bands from the past who are no longer in the industry. Its not like Rolling Stone can keep putting Beatles on their cover. They're a music magazine who will feature anyone in music who has placed a substantial mark on a huge audience. Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga etc all have. They're basically like the Beatles of this generation in a different form.

I know that but Rolling Stone have always put themselves out as "anti pop" that was always thier image but from around 1997 they stoped and sold out to the pop genre :/ Not saying that they should keep throwing The Beatles on the cover every month but I would still expect to see the ocassional band on the cover not just pop fads.
