Selena Gomez 13 Reasons Why Film Role
Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment have acquired the Jay Asher novel 13 Reasons Why as a star vehicle for Selena Gomez, reports Deadline. Mandy Teefey of July Moon Productions will be a co-producer. The novel is about a shy California high school student who returns from school to find a box waiting on
..his doorstep. It contains seven cassette tapes recorded by Hanna Baker, the classmate he had a crush on. Before she committed suicide, Hannah sent the tapes to one classmate with instructions to pass them on to a list of students like a chain letter. The tapes explain to 13 people the role in her death.

However, I love this book and I have witnessed her acting before.
I have one thing to say, she's more than perfect for this role and she's going to do it justice.

Yeah, I don't know about this one. I really love this book, but I'm not sure if Selena is the right person for to play Hanna. Not what I imagined whatsoever. I agree that this role is a little too dark for her. I really hope they don't change all of the rather adult-ish themes from the book. They make it what it is.

This is a Universal Picture project, it would probably be rated PG-13 and Selena will play a more serious character who committed suicide. So I don't think it's going to be too Disney.
