eww. the swimming on this show is horrendous. i'm a swimmer and it is truly hard to watch. & there's really nothing to do with teams in swimming. it's the most individual sport ever. there are no team captains. nobody else matters in this sport but yourself, it is NOT a team sport. this show has got it all wrong.

there was a captian in the books too. the whole point is that even in shows like make it or break it, when it seems like gymnastics is an indivudual sport, not a team sport, people need the support of their friends to suceed.

I'm a swimmer, too, and although it is mostly an individual sport, it is definitely a team sport. Relays still give the team points in a meet and I feel like winning as a team and acting like a team is way more important than winning individually. It's way more rewarding. All the teams we go against are the same way, I don't get how you don't think it's a team sport?
Well, I used to to be a swimmer for 10 years. Let me tell you even though swimming is mainly an individual sport, It's also a team sport too. You are still on a team and technically teammates are supposed to support one another. Plus each team gets a certain amount of points too at the end of the meet anyways. And about the team captain thing, who says that there are no team captains in high school? I know when I was in high school, there were team captains at every high school including mine.
