Joe Jonas DETAILS PHOTO SHOOT

Joe Jonas DETAILS PHOTO SHOOT

Joe Jonas Details Magazine. Joe grinned: 'I like to watch all the crazy characters in the neighborhood. I saw this gay homeless guy that got arrested. When the cops said, 'Spread 'em,' he was like, 'You'd like that, wouldn't you?''

'I've gone through a lot of stuff in my life so far. There are stories I haven't really been able to tell. When you're writing with three people you wind up with a sound that might be, not average, but, you know, expected.' 'I really wanna do a solo project.' My brother Nick did one. It wasn't really as big as..'

Here he catches himself. Nick's solo album, Who I Am, released last year, received mixed reviews and sold fewer than 200,000. '..And so I was like, 'I would really like to make music that inspires me,' 'cause with the Jonas Brothers stuff, we can be constricted in what we can and cannot do.'

If Nick was always the cute Jonas, and Kevin the other Jonas, then Joe was the sexy one. 'There's nothing wrong with being gay, but I'm not.' 'Ashley's dad can drink me to shame. He's awesome.'

he mentioned this sex joke between a gay homeless man and a cop..and
he talked about how ashley greene's father could drink him to shame.
and he talked about how the only reason he wore a purity ring and said how bad "drinking" was is because he lived with his parents
and that his new music is gonna sound kinda justin timberlake/club music
so that his fans won't be "embarrassed" to listen to him anymore
and to me, it basically sounded that the old him was all a lie. but you know, magazines. they like to screw up peoples words.
but

can't believe that when I first became a Jonas fan, I was possibly the most against-drinking person out there, but nowadays I get smashed >.<
makes me feel a tad better to know that the "innocent" Jonas brothers do the same shit, haha.

So cool to see them breaking out of the Disney image, it's seriously about time xD

Joe Jonas better appologize tomorrow. This is is so rude. Especially what he said about the Jonas brothers being embarrasing? So..."a little bit longer" was an "expected" tune? And Nick's albulm "wasn't that big?" Get your head on straight. Disney is what helped get you to where you are today. Stfu asshole!

what joe chooses to do with his life shouldnt affect the way any other christian presents themselves.. btw, thats a bit much to put that sorta weight on his shoulders.
"oh, he shouldnt say that cause its just so un-christian.." :S its odd.

not because i didnt once appreciate it, (i absolutely loved it), but cause i've simply grown up.. :/

as people grow, people change. they develop different preferences. they try out new things. and they begin to really get to the core of who they are rather than being what people (parents, and in joes case, the media.. public eye) expect them to be.

joe seems to be doing that and apparently it aint going down too well with you guys.. guess its cause you're yet to grow up too :S

I agree...and I'm sorry I didn't mean to put it like that. What I meant was because of the fact that he is a Christian, and so well known for being one...and now that he's kind of going against his faith... It can influence new believers into wrong habits. you hope his father steps in soon? LOL come on dude. as much as i respect the authority parents have (or should have) over their children, i find that statement kinda ridiculous.

joe is what now? 21?
im seventeen and am already starting to "go against" my parents beliefs/rules.
not cause im a bad person, but cause i really do think that in this day and age, times are changing. people are beginning to want the freedom to be who they are.

and i'm REALLY sorry if i offend anyone by saying this, but religion is overrated in my opinion.
brings nothing but unnecessary guilt for doing things that are pretty much unavoidable. an example being something like (well, in extremists cases..) "girls/boys cant talk to the opposite gender or socialize with them" or "dont drink alcohol" or sometimes even "dont listen to music" :S

im probably rambling and making zero sense atm lol.. but anyway..

its just so.. ugh.. and does nothing but seperate people in a lot of cases.

I can understand if he wants to break out of that and have older fans. who wouldn't want them? I mean can you imagine being an adult still playing for elementary schoolers...that'd just be awful
and he wasn't dissing Nick either. he called Nick his best friend and I think he was just starting to say that the album didn't do as well as he hoped. probly just caught himself because he felt that was unnecessary to say.

as for him being abandoning his faith..he was never that religious to begin with. he always struck me as the one who was more free. there's nothing wrong with drinking every now and then anyway esp at his age.
and the being less clean, nothing wrong with that either. who cares? as Hibz said religion is overrated anyway.

Agree with most of this.

Most adults would be embarrased to play for elementary kids and would rather play for girls their own age.

Most adults wouldn't want to listen to earlier Jonas music in clubs.

Nick's album wasn't a commercial success.

Joe being honest about these things just gives me more respect for him. It's good to know he's realistic and honest, instead of fake and delusional like a lot of Hollywood is.

I don't think he's necessarily turning his back on his religion though just because he's drinking. It's not against the ten commandments to drink, and Jesus himself drunk. Some of his recent tweets would suggest he is still a believer, but his beliefs are his own business anyway.

Peoples tastes grow as they get older and that's what happened with Joe. He wasn't even saying that he wasn't into the Jonas Brothers any more. All he said was that with his new record he wants to get back to old Jonas Brothers fans who may not be into them because of the recent stuff they got out from Disney. He was talking about the fans and not himself.

I just wish people would cut him some slack and not attack in at every chance they get and give the guy at least one chance. They're already writing him off before the CD has even come out. *sigh*

Henceforth, people who want to buy canada goose should make a cautious and careful choice in order to choose their own favourite parkas.

At least say who you are or something if you're going to bash on a user here.

Joe shouldn't be embarrassed of what made his career, he should be thankful to it. Instead of bashing the songs he and his brothers made, why not embrace them and admit that they may be a little cheesy, but they're what got him to where he is today..
that's why people are getting mad, because he's just sort of blowing it off and acting like Hollywood has gotten to his head.

oh I wasn't really referring to the drinking as turning his back on his religion
he just never struck me as that into it in the first place (like he just tried for his brothers and his parents) and dating Ashley Greene kinda proves that he's not real religious.
he reminds me of a sort of male version of myself a few years ago in that way. yeah he's a Christian but I don't think he's that devoted.
oh and I know his beliefs are his own business. I wouldn't really care anyway. though I happen to think religion is overrated it wouldn't bother me if he was because I love Nick and lord knows he's one of the most devout people

Joe never said he's embarrassed of what made his career, and he never bashed the songs. You're making a big deal out of nothing.

Not really. Jesus himself associated with prostitutes and beggars and other people who were condemned by society. If Joe does too, then good for him.

not just joe, i think that happened with some fans too.
maybe thats why jonas fans are 'fading'.

i definitely am not as crazy about jb music as i was when i was 13 :/
BUT maybe i would be a huge fan of the newer jb stuff (if there is even gonna be anything) if they switched up their style, made their songs a little less family friendly, and a whole lot more real instead.

That is exactly what Joe meant and all he said was that he want's to win back the Jonas Brothers fans that they have lost with his new record.

Ocean up only posted the controversial part of the interview and it made it seem like he was bashing his brothers and his band.

I think that was only part of it. it was a combination of things like for example Joe's love life had something to do with it too.

I was never that big on their music. I mean I liked it but they weren't in my top faves and I loved them as people more.
considering that I think I'm still as into their music as I've always been..just completely tired of their self titled.
it would be nice to have a good blend though. I didn't like Nick's that much because it was too old but the Jonas music was fun. it would be nice to combine the two: have it more deep/mature but with a fun beat.

I think I'll like Joe's album. it's exactly the kind of music I love

Exactly. The truth is that Nicks music didn't to well. I actually enjoyed it, and I did buy it but that doesn't change the fact that it sold 200,000 copies. It's the truth and it hurts, but what's there is there. And just because Nicks album didn't do as well doesn't make him a bad musician. I guess his time hadn't come yet. Joe didn't even want to be a musician in the first place so your argument is invalid. If Joe and Kevin didn't agree in being in the band with Nick then he wouldn't be where he is now because there would be no Jonas Brothers because the guy at Columbia records was willing to take them ONLY as a band. Plus, you are so wrong....Joe DID contribute to the Jonas Brothers music. Why do people assume that Nick is the most talented and so he writes ALL the songs and just gives his brothers the credit. Just because Nick is a good song writer, that does not make the rest of them bad.

Everyone always has seen like the sexy Jonas Brother without a brain
The people always say a lot of rumors of him
Many fans of him stopped to be ... for something that they did not even know how to
In his twitter arrive daily insults
Nothing more to say he wants to do a solo album
The people labeled him as failed ... that he will not be able to do
He is always judging
.....
I think that interview is just what he feel
but what you feel in not always the true
Everybody insult to his girlfriend every day and not even know her

he is just honest...

Actually, it was relevant and completely necessary. Details brought the subject up. What was he supposed to say?

Saying "no comment" or "I don't like to discuss my personal life" to that question is considered a quiet acknowledgement that you are actually gay. He had no choice but to answer, and at least he answered the question in a respectful and non-homophobic way.

I know I'm kinda disappointed he didn't go that route. I feel like what happened was is maybe he wasn't taken seriously as an actor because I know the passion was there. whenever he talked about acting, he was always so passionate unlike with music.

we have yet to really hear Kevin sing so I dont really know about that. But Nick really is talented and I agree with that, but what I hate is that just because Nick is the most talented, people bring down the other two brothers and count them as talentless. All of them are talented otherwise they wouldn't be where they are today.

oh Hibz I watched the live chat.

someone said on here that Kevin said I eat her out I mean I take her out but I didn't hear that part. did they cut it out or what?

Maybe, but either way someone screwed up there ... producers hate actors who inconvenience them by dropping out of roles and it's a good way to earn a bad rep.

I think he is still trying with his acting career though. I heard a rumor he auditioned for the role of Marco (Teddy's boyfriend on 90210) fairly recently. He did mention he auditioned for a recurring role in 90210 (like a proper recurring role, not just the random cameo as himself he ended up doing), and Marco's the only new male character they've added since he said that, and the actor they did end up picking looks a bit like him.

oh, and I'm also making a small CD as a project for my music production class. If anyone is a vocalist, I'd be glad to create a track for you to sing whatever you want, so message me if you're interested.

OMG finally, my real Joe has arrived. I love this interview and maybe now he can shed his Disney mask and the fans who refuse to accept he's now an adult (yeah, the ones that don't understand that it's perfectly normal and acceptable to drink, swear and have sex and it not in any way mean you're not a great person).

I'm so glad he took this tack, perfect preparation for his new ADULT career, I love Joe the MAN and cannot wait for the music and everything else that will undoubtedly follow. Bring it on.
