Joe Jonas To Fan, 'Oh My God, Really?'
From Jennifer: I'll preface this e-mail by saying I'm 24 years old and I'm a huge Jonas brothers fan. It's kind of embarrassing. I have been following them since their first album came out. I was at the album release meet and greet for that..
..album in 2006 and have been to every tour since then, meeting them several more times since. They have always been sweethearts, I realize now that that is because they were around fans and had to be. On Friday night I was out in the Meatpacking District in NYC to go to some bars. I was sitting waiting for friends when I looked up and noticed that Joe Jonas was literally standing 10 feet from..
..me with a bodyguard and friend. I'm not the crazy screaming, crying 13 year old fan girl and I understood that he wouldnt want a scene to be made, but I'm also not one to sit back and not say anything at all. That said, I simply got up and waved to him as I was able to get his attention.
After I waved I saw him say 'oh my god, really?' and turn away. I was able to get a quick picture of him on my cell before his bodyguard jumped in front of him. I was pretty shocked when he was such an a**hole. I get the privacy thing and wanting to be lowkey but I wasn't causing a scene at all and I simply waved..
..to him. A wave back would have been much more cordial than an 'oh my god really?', it was so rude. I have attached pictures of me and Joe from a few times when I met him in the past. Who of your old favorites (Miley, Selena, Justin, JB, Demi, etc.) do you not support anymore?

Because of my personal morals and beliefs about celebrity, I don't support Miley anymore. Ive always been a huge Jonas fan and I wholeheartedly support Kevin and Nick and (at least for the time being) Joe. I'll be honest though and say I'm not sure what Joe is doing anymore, but I haven't seen anything concrete to make me question my support. Ive always and still support Demi & Selena

I supported Demi from the moment I saw her in the magazine. It sounds weird. But I still do to this day. Miley was the first disney star who caught my attention. I was a fan of hers at the beginning but not anymore. And I do support Selena and the Jonas brothers. But this story sounds plausible. I mean why would she make this up? I support them even though I don't like what I just read but as long as he wasn't being rude to me I am a fan.

I get what all of you are saying. His fans got him this far so he should be able to show some love toward them, but giving up on someone over something like that isn't cool.
A lot of the celebs I support do things I don't like, but I'll always be a fan.

now that he's on his own,he's going back to what he was like before the fame
when he was with his brothers he was never rude
he's not an angel .He probably was pissed or had too much drink that night,but that doesn't mean that he's a bad person .He is nice the majority of the time

Cannot say I am really a Joe fan these days but come on everyone has a bad day or just want to go out once without paps or fans. Yes it comes with the job but dont know how they handle it day in day out. Wow you cannot even run to the supermarket with crappy hair and no makeup without ending up in the mags!!!

I think she's pretty, even if I do find her average, and that she should stick to acting.

I would be upset if my idol did this... I've supported them since 2006 too, and I've never met them, but I think we're all that way, that we fantasize about meeting our role model in life (whether its demi selena miley etc.) and if it doesn't go as perfect as you'd wish, or they weren't what you thought they'd be, of course you'd be a little hurt.
But that being said, we're all humans, we aren't all nice 100% of the time, I don't care if you claim to be fucking Jesus, you have your bad days. So it's nothing to write them off for, but maybe just a little grudge.
But I think we all know Joe has attitude. ;]

there's no point in arguing because we all know that their popularity did decrease.
From all of the fan encounters I have heard about/seen involving Joe, this seems very out of character for him. Not to say it didn't happen, it just seems really out of the ordinary. If this is true, I hope it was just a really off day.

I can understand that you'd be annoyed if your fave celeb acted like that, even if they knew you from previous meetings, but I think what us fans need to realise, is that we are fans, not friends, so we don't know the real people, we just have an idea of who they are and support what they do. I've had a similar thing happen to me several times with my fave celebs, but at the end of the day, I know they're no better than me. We're all humans. End of. The only thing that didn't help matters was the whole taking a picture...I mean if he was already annoyed, that would just add duel to fire...there wasn't any need for that and in my opinion, that is not respecting his privacy, nor is this whole post, but hey, everyone is entitled to an opinion. This is just mine.
He's a celebrity and you're not his friend. I wouldn't let this ruin your world (as clearly, you took the time to write to a gossip blog about it, it has).
People are so quick to point out that Joe is an asshole, I love it. And then everyone buys a ticket to the bandwagon. So he seemed jerky to you...Worse things will happen in your life. I'm sure you'll get over it.

I will always love Joe, Nick and Kevin. When I hear stories like this, they all seem kinda twisted to me.

when i saw joe joans he was a complete JERK to me, so i totally believe this girls story. in fact, i went from being his number 1 fan to hating him because of the incident (i am now a fan again).
i saw him at the vmas...i was lucky enough to be one of the girls in the jo bros performance a few years back. anyway i stuck around til the end and was outside in this area wacthing the ting tings perform after the actual show was over. so i was there waving to all the celebs that were leaving.
when the jo bros came out me and my friend were shouting "jonas brothers!" trying to get their attention. and literally we were the only ones who even knew who they were, everyone else was looking at other people. nick and kevin were friendly and waved and smiled but joe looked directly at me and gave me an evil death glare from hell like i'd murdered his dog or something. completely uncalled for.
i gave him the benefit of the doubt (he looked pretty upset as he left the building, before i said hi, so i know he wasn't really mad at me specifically) and still like him, but he does seem kinda moody
Miley will always be my favorite! Shes the only one that seems real. Selena seems like a big fake! And you can smell the superficiality off her. I like Joe too. He seems like the same way as Miley, what you see is what you get. I'm sure they are tired of that "Disney persona"
Guys, what Joe did was rude, regardless if he was in a "bad mood" or not. Say you walked by your class and saw your old friend with a group of people and you smiled and waved nicely, and then she said "Oh my god, really?!" and turned away. Wouldn't you feel kinda "wth?" about it, too?

I'll always support Demi and Jonas(kinda iffy about joe, for some reason. but in the end I usually do support him) . I never supported the other stars to begin with. I guess that's because I was never into them that much lol.

it does depend what kind of wave she did like if it was a sexy wave, or an obnoxious wave but to me it sounds like it was friendly wave and joe was being a douchebag.
Joe is not that type of person. He's one of the sweetest when it comes on fans. So I know that there's something wrong why he didn't wave back.

Yes, this was no doubt rude. He's almost twenty-two, so there's a possibility he had a few drinks. Or he was just a flat-out douche. Still, keep in mind that, like a previous commenter said, we're fans, not friends. I'd be a little peeved, but is it really worth all those great experiences with the band to hold this so strongly against him? I'm sorry, but that's extremely immature.
Taking the picture was also very rude. Joe made it petty clear that he didn't want to be bothered (even though "OH MY GOD, REALLY?" is nothing compared to some stories I've heard about other stars). Relax. You may need to do a bit of growing up if something this trivial is bothering you so much that you had to write in to a tweenie gossip site.
