Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 $92.1M
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 broke records for best midnight debut and largest opening day, both of which were previously held by Twilight films. Potter earned $92.1 million on Friday, crushing The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘s record of $72.7 million.
The film made more money in a single day than Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone, made its entire first weekend ($90.3 million). It’s now certain that Potter will also capture the opening weekend record, currently held by The Dark Knight with $158.4 million. Count on an opening weekend of at least $180 million.

Even forgetting the ridiculous story line, there just doesn't seem enough stuff to make two movies. Besides the obviously money factor there was absolutely no need for it to be split into two. Unlike the Deathly Hallows, can you imagine what the movie would be like if they kept it as one? The final half alone was so action packed

What ever more amazing about Deathly Hallows Part 2 is that nowadays every movie is breaking records because they're raking in the extra money from showing it in 3D. While HP is shown in 3D, the 3D sales only make up 43% of the total money it made while other movies, say Transformers have it make up 60% of it's total. Meaning HP didn't just make a ton of more money than everyone else, they sold a hecka lot more tickets than any other movie.
At my midnight show , the movie stated 6 minutes late and they cut the trailers. We only saw the Sherlock Holmes 2 and the one with Hugh Jackman... maybe Conan too, but that was it.

Ok, I'm not a Twilight fan, but the books weren't that bad. It's why they got so popular! The movies are bad, but the books have good parts. Maybe it just isn't your type of literature.
It's more about emotions and internal character development. It explores people's feelings, rather than being all about action, action, action! I think that the writer does a good job describing a first crush.
That said, I think Harry Potter's way better too haha
