demi's is so much better, it has so much more emotion
If Jrdin is supporting Demi great, but you know the comments on OU will be "Better than Demi". Anon already said it like they had an itchy trigger finger. And she sounds beautiful, Demi's version has a haunted quality to it like it was coming from a very dark place, which I like and appreciate.

Please, you do not need to make excuses for her. In fact imperfections in her voice plus her raw emotion is what make the song rise above the other crap out there. Jrdin's sound quality may be smoother, but the story being told is represented by Demi's vocals.
I like the rawness and emotion in Demi's version better. And when Jordin sang the chorus, it was kind of shaky but both versions are good. (:
Yeah, honestly if this was sung by Jordin and she released it, I wouldn't have bought it. Demi's vocals were much better, even with her damaged vocal chords and there was so much emotion to it. This was just bleh :/

I think both versions are amazing. Since it's Demi's song I personally find it better. Plus, you can hear the emotion in her voice. Jordin Sparks is amazing as well and I do love this cover but if you choose to compare, Demi I believe out shined Jordin. Which is fine seeing as how it is Demi's song.

The song wasn't Demi's to begin with. Jordin recorded the song first and gave it to Demi. That's why Jordin's background vocals are on still Demi's version.

Great job by Jordin but it doesn't have the same emotion that Demi's has. Considering what she's been through, no one will top the way Demi sings this song.
Wow.. now that I think about it.. this song actually sounds more like a Jordin type song than a Demi type song..

Jordin demoed the song way before Demi, but decided not to record it. And they even kept Jordin's bg vocals on Demi's track. If anything, she's showing her support for Demi by "covering" it.

I prefer Jordin's version. I wish she would have recorded her cover in the studio like Ariana Grande does...as a matter of fact, I'm almost certain Ariana will record her mix on this. I love the song itself, but I just cannot with Demi's vocals on it. They are so strained & forced. I understand her voice was damamged, but she could have re-recorded it at a later time....she sounds weak, vulnerable, and sqeaky as hell. I find it annoying to be quite honest

Both girls rocked it for different reasons. Demi's vocals may be questionable but she's clearly very talented and the emotion she conveys is incredible. Jordan's voice is like silk even if it has less meaning. I get that everyone can have their own opinion but there's no need to bash the other to prove why you like one best.

I love Jordin better as a singer, and a person so she wins in my book.
That's why Jordin thanked Demi for keeping her background vocals on it.
Jordin had the past two hits in her hands. 'Who Says' was hers first. And now 'SkyScraper.' Priscilla (write of Who Says) must've favored Selena and her status to sell the song because I heard they did Jordin dirty by snatching the song last minute after being recorded and everything.

I cant feel Jordins emotion in the song at all. It seemed like she was trying to force emotion. Im a fan of Jordin but I lost some respect for her when she released I am women as her single.

Jordin did a really good job, but I prefer Demi's version. Demi's voice has so much emotion and rawness in the song that no one can duplicate.

At first, I couldnt really tell a difference at all in the songs until the bridge of the song.
Jordin sounds sooo good singing this song and I can see her having this as her song but I'm glad she passed it because Demi singing it just gives it something different. Like someone said above, it's haunting. I cant wait to hear an acoustic version of it.
I prefer Demi's simply because of how it fits her better i think and I LOVE her voice. I generally dont like Jordin's music but this gives me a whole new respect for her talent. She sang it beautifully

One person said that, chill out. Also it was Karli or however it's spelts(such I should know by now considering I'm her fan too) song not jordans, Jordan just recorded the BG vocals for Demi I believe, I do t know where y'all are getting this it was her song/demi first thing from.
Jordin is singing this through a shitty computer mic and still sounds better than the studio version of this song.
Jordin obviously had the song before her or was in with a chance, they offer songs to people and Demi's name probably appeared and after hearing the rawness in her voice and that haunting quality they thought she was the more convincing and Disney stars can sell singles...
Unfortunatley, I love Jordin, but she hasn't got the best team behind her and she probably wouldn't have got a number 1. However it is arguable would Demi have been number one if she released this before rehab?
