I know she will sell lots of albums but I just dislike the fact she gets more recognition as a singer.. oh well at least I love 'love you like a love song'.

That about the same amount that her other two albums made. It's not bad considering she selling her music to a niche audience, I just figure she would get more. I mean Demi got 100,000 her first week and Selena's much more famous than Demi even music wise
That's about half of what Nick Jonas Solo Album sold in his first week.

yeah. I dunno its weird. I do think alot of her attention she is getting is from Justin. And justins stans are refusing to buy her music even though alot of them probably like her songs lol.
It's easier to be a bad singer than a bad actor cause you can get away with it more. I can always predict when a movie's gonna bomb but predicting albums sales is a lot harder.

Selena main fan base are kids. Parents buys Selena's albums for their kids and they don't rush to the stores in the first week. They will buy it as they make their purchases usually.
I just find it crazy that with all the promotion Selena gets, her cds have yet to place in the top 5 on the BB Charts and have yet to sell over 100l in it's first week. The funny part is, Demi gets less promotion than Selena and yet her album made it to #1 Selling a Little Over 100k. Something's not right

wow that is so bad, selena you might aswell not even make freaking albums if there not even going to sell well. how other two albums probably only sold like 50 k. which is really bad. its funny how people buy her singles but they don't buy her album.

New Movies Coming Out
Miley's last album may have sold 100,000 copies its first week and 1 million copies worldwide, but it only sold 315,000 copies in the U.S. Where as Selena's last album sold 609,000 copies in the US. So obviously the US likes Selena better than Miley.

Selenas album has been out for how long and she was #2 and has been #2 this whole time. Next to Beyonce ofcourse she is not going to get #1 next to her but take Beyonce out of the equation [ a completely different demographic] and Selena has the next best selling album so.... everyone throwing out numbers that were tallied up over the course of months or even a year... can suck it! the album has been out for two days!

These sales sound right. What people have to remember is that music wise Selena isn't really that famous, plus she doesn't really have a single pushing this album nor does she have a Justin Bieber like fan base. So with that said her sells are okay, the sad thing is this album sounds a lot like the stuff Katy Perry's been putting out (which I don't like) so you'd think it would sell better, goes to show you how important fans are
Very few singers REALLY write their own song, its not a big deal thats what song writers are for. Everybody can't write a song, but that doesn't mean they can't sing them, and the same goes for writers
