TEEN VOGUE interview: As you describe your style? Selena: It’s pretty classic. It is the only way I can describe. I do not like to exaggerate. Even when a clip is for, is very simple and basic. So it is because I’m lazy. Teen Vogue: What are you using more this season? Selena: Several cute shirts. Wool sweaters with several holes. I bought a very large and beautiful, use it over everything
Teen Vogue: What part you have to have? Selena: I love loose clothing, like crop tops with loose skirts and dresses. In the summer, I do not like anything sticking to me. Teen Vogue: The Dream Out Loud is well into account, why is it important to you that it is accessible? Selena: I know it’s not easy to find things that are beautiful and cheap. Growing up, things like Abercrombie, Aeropostale, American Eagle, were things I could not buy. I wanted to create a line that was versatile, but also lovely and not too expensive.
Teen Vogue: How involved are you in the process of creation? Selena: Very. I have a great team and they really help me with what I imagine. I’m horrible with drawings. Whenever you describe something, I say the strangest things and they draw perfectly. Then I use and see if I like. There is nothing in pratilheiras I do not like.
Teen Vogue: What beauty products are in your necessaire? Selena: Moisturizer, I travel a lot and that makes my skin dry. I always have two bottles. I have several lipsticks, like Burt’s Bees or Rose Bud. And also several hairpins, because I always tie it. Teen Vogue: What was your inspiration for the collection of autumn? Selena: There’s a theme. The autumn collection is very warm, bright and sequins, several fluffy skirts, but my favorite piece is a high-waisted shorts with lace details. I have them in brown and black with a pair of socks and boots, they look great.
Teen Vogue: What are the essential pieces to return to school? Selena: I buy at least 5 new pieces that I can mix and use the first few weeks, then I always end up wearing sweatpants. But in the first weeks I was great! Leggings also because they are comfortable. Lipstick, and colorful accessories, such as schedules.
Teen Vogue: What is the outfit you remember back to school? Selena: I do not know if I have one, but I remember I got Steve Madden shoes when they were on sale and they were my favorites. I guess I was in eighth grade.
Teen Vogue: What’s next for you, besides perfume?
Selena: Everything has been really fun, I’m really excited with my perfume. But I will make some movies and I’ll focus on it. I’m going to Bulgaria next week to record!
Teen Vogue: Cool! What will you take?
Selena: Sure, I had to ask. It is very basic and temperature are good. I take several skirts and cropped top (“cut blouse”).
