One Direction are going to be in the Guinness Book of World Records. Up All Night made them the first UK group to debut at number 1 in America. This means they’re the first group to take the record from The Spice Girls who set it in 1997.
‘Being the first British band to debut at number one in America with a debut album is something that we would have never even have dreamt of. We are incredibly proud to have this achievement included in the Guinness World Records book.’
Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne filmed a PEPSI campaign at a New Orleans studio last weekend which will see them star alongside several leading American football stars. Source told THE SUN:
‘This is a huge deal for them in monetary terms, but even bigger for status as the coverage they’ll get from it is massive. The boys were under strict instructions to stay quiet on this one and refrain from tweeting about their whereabouts. They flew to Tampa before boarding a private jet laid on by Pepsi to New Orleans where they met quarterback Drew Brees, who taught them the ropes on American football. Other football stars are in the ad too.’
