Girl Rising, first acquired by CNN documentary Films, will air in spring 2013. The film, which is inspired by global action campaign to promote the education of girls tells extraordinary stories of countless girls around the world struggling to overcome the possible improbabilities to realize their dreams.
The film includes voices of Oscar winner Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington and Selena Gomez. The film is directed by Oscar nominee, Richard E. Robbins and executive produced by Tom Yellin and Holly Gordon.
Via SelenaBrazil: Spring Breakers will be taken by production company Kinology for the American Film Market, to an event held every year in California that seeks to sell and distribute new films to market. The distributor Annapurna Pictures bought the film rights in the US.
