Is Miley Cyrus Trying Too Hard?

  • SlimShady

I hate how she dresses, but really this is a dubstep club song, she couldn’t come out in a frock.

  • Anonymous

She’s famous because of scandals she’s trying too hard and don’t see that her time spent long time ago. Take drugs and the things that she does are not ok… A lot kids, teens see her like a Model when she’s just a shit. Her music now is awful

  • SlimShady

Alot of people on here are obviously a bit deluded. Miley was platinum selling artist long before her so called ‘scandals’. Plus I don’t see how it’d make her famous, a lot of parents blocked her from their kids, if anything it slightly diminished her popularity. This is also not her song, its Borgore’s, Miley has stated numerous times this was purely for fun and that her album would sound like the covers she’s been doing lately, which are awesome btw.

  • BrokenArrow

Exactly. People only remember ‘scandals’ cause that’s the only thing they care about. They ignore everything else.

  • BrokenArrow

The thing with scandals is that people create those scandals, not Miley. They choose to make a scandal of what she does. It’s not like Miley is holding a gun and forcing them to talk about her.

  • Anonymous

so performing at a gig called Creampie christmas, and next to a topless stripper isn’t creating a scandal?

your argument is like saying a theif isn’t scandalous to steal things, people just make a scandal out of stealing

BrokenArrow.. I thought you were better than this

  • Anonymous

She’s actually not; better than this, that is.

  • SlimShady

Its only made a scandal by people. Rihanna, Lady Gaga and a boatload of other stars do the same thing, but that’s not a scandal because people don’t make it one.

  • Anonymous

it’s the same scandal. just because there are many thieves, or prominent thieves that ‘get away with it’ doesn’t make another thief a good thief, or any less a thief…

  • Anonymous

    I HATE MILEY NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • Anonymous

^^ Why do hate Miley now???

It’s a different situation, cause what she does doesnt affect anyone but herself.
She just do what she wants. People create the scandal, they’re the ones who make a drama. If they just ignore her there wouldnt be any scandal.
People put her name in their mouth not Miley. People follow her steps, People read news about her, people search info about her, people talk about her. So people make scandals. And that’s applied to any celeb not just Miley.

Her first scandals started really early in her career. Like when she was 14, then 15, then so on. Yes, people did make a big deal out of them, but she was super famous. And her fanbase was mostly little girls. Of course they would be shocked, therefore it would be a scandal.

This is not on the same level as Rihanna and Gaga, Miley Cyrus was underage when she did those things, and her fanbase was much younger.

People don’t like to see minors sexualized, when they aren’t even of the age of consent yet, it’s super awkward.

What she does would not affect anyone else if she was just a normal teenager. She is not a normal teenager. She was one of the most famous teenagers in the world. Like it or not, what she did sort of affects her younger fanbase that was very impressionable(because they were so young). You can argue that they shouldn’t look up to her, but the fact is that they did. Humans look up to other humans ALL the time. It is in our nature.

Of course she can do what she wants, but that won’t stop people from talking about her. Everyone knows that Miley makes her own choices, but there will always be people that will have an opinion on her choices because she is in the public eye.

so what about if the thief appears in your favorite magazines, and before becoming a thief has gained a fandom from many people across the world, maybe even you

they laugh and make stealing seem cool

do you just ignore the thief even though they are stealing from other people, and sometimes you when you accidentally see them on the street?

do you ignore the thief when they are doing other things apart from stealing?

many people might not know they are a thief and give them benefit of the doubt, leading to being stolen from

    etc.

No. She looked terrible in that outfit and the performance was bad. Just being honest.

Lol. I knew you will come running here.

Btw, yes the outfit and the performance are horrible.

There wouldnt be any trouble if parents do their job right.

It’s a bit naive to think that celebrities don’t affect young and impressionable children. Sure, parents have the MOST influence, but what kids see on TV does affect them. The best thing to do would be to not allow your kids to watch TV or idolize Miley Cyrus, but then she never would have become famous and popular.

The thing is, it’s very natural for humans to look up to others as role models. And even if your kid doesn’t watch TV, she will still be going to school and see magazine articles at check out, so she will still hear about these celebrities and she may still idolize them.

It isn’t just parents that raise the kid, it is society too.

    too tired?

  • Anonymous

This is so boring now. It was fun to see the drama during the “Can’t Be Tamed” era but now she’s an adult and honestly she can do whatever she wants.
You guys discussing how she was when she was 14 are the same people saying “Don’t bring stats from the past; Miley doesn’t have a career anymore hehe!” so it’s all pretty invalid.
To the one saying her fans are “blind sheeps”, baby, unforunately they can supposrt her if they like her and you can’t do anything about it.
Doesn’t matter how many bongs, ‘pole dances’ or Decisions performances, come that won’t change a thing about how great is that girl called Miley Cyrus.

Funny thing: The video didn’t said anything bad about Miley.

The novels here are just unworthy.

They’re impressionable, that’s right. then they should use that to teach them whats right and whats not. Also they can took advange of celebs, to teach them how to behavor.
But a perfect robot as a role model it’s not gonna solve their problems. It can make kids to feel pressed.
It all starts at home. It’s a base. If the base is right, then there shouldnt be any problems.
Obviously it can change, but if you rise your kids well, the chances are less.

she is really ugly and is a has been nobody cares anymore she should just go away.

Anyone noticed that miley’s ex, Justin Gaston, has deleted his twitter. Too bad, I used to like his sense of humor.

As long as her own record isn’t this kinda music & these style performances, i’m down.

I feel bad for child stars. Some people just naturally transition from seemingly very conservative to being a bit more “wild” just because their parents or whoever had control over them forced them to repress themselves & conform. We just see this “crazy” transition cause once the leash is off these kid stars can be who they would’ve chosen to be in the 1st place. It happens the same when kids go off to college. This is kinda Miley’s college-phase.

And let’s face it, there have been little signs for years suggesting that Miley was a more free-spirited person than the Disney contract was allowing her to be.

    This man has some issues…

He’s lucky…if he did that tonight after the Eagles game, his face and ass would be kicked all over South Philly. I liked the way he was using his “karate” stance ready to pounce on the next guy. There are no rocks in philly streets, it must have been a turd left from Lila the last time she was there with Miley.

Miley being Miley—and I love it. She don’t give a shit what anyone says about her. She’s young, talented and she is not afraid to take risks. She’s living her life the way she wants. Miley is done with being the disney robot.

    QUEEN MILEY!!!!!

  • Anonymous

Why does that make her a “Queen”?

  • Anonymous

yep, i love her, saw her in concert back in 2009, but I’m afraid she’s trying too hard.

  • BrokenArrow

I dont agree with her idea of growing up but it’s her way to grow up.
And all the teens do the same and they use sexuality to show they’re not kid. Its just that people only focus in Miley cause she’s the most rebel out of all of them.

  • BrokenArrow

Well, they didnt said anything bad :P.

frankly, its her life, but the media is a two edged sword. they can make or unmake you.

  • Anonymous

Hasn’t she always used this to get media attention? She’s famous because of scandals and she’s trying to come up with new ones to keep her name in the spotlight. That’s all there is to it.

  • Anonymous

She is trying too hard. Go to any other website and most people will comment that she is trying wayyyy too hard.

Also, there is one thing in dressing in a sexy way, but she is trying way too hard with that too. Almost like she is trying to convince the world that she is a woman. Sexy is supposed to be subtle, not all in your face.

the whole gig format was really weak

any more news about miley eating lila?

No, afraid not, they’re so busy investigating how you manage to survive without a brain there’s just no time for Lila.

  • BrokenArrow

She only reacts when she gets attacked constantly about something.
I think she doesnt really care what people say first, cause she’s really impulsive. But then when people point her out she does care.
People filled her mentions with mean comment and calling her fat and they didnt stopped. You could see that by searching @mileycyrus in the twitter searcher, obviously she was going to break.

    QUEEN MILEY!!!!!

Sad part is, she does care. A lot. She tries to say she doesn’t, but when she tweets her haters, what does that say? And when a few people called her fat on twitter, she got all defensive. Then, she lost weight because the haters got to her. Trust me, she cares what other people think and say about her.

Fans call their idols ‘Queen’ for anything. Queen Demi, Queen Selena etc..
