Sadly this is true. Him being with Selena has slowly buried his career, though I adore them together. Maybe love is more important.

I'm sure Believe WILL go straight to number one, but it won't stay there for very long. Just like how Boyfriend dropped from number 2 to 5 because it was only so high in the first place because his fans obsessively bought it the first week. Once everyone who wanted it got it, and radio plays failed to catch up, Boyfriend fell. And will most likely continue to fall since it is not yet a genuine hit, as defined by the general public liking it (ie: all of katy perry's number ones). That's why I think Justin and his team need to be realistic with themselves about how things will play out instead of getting his hopes up for something that most likely wont happen.

And, yeah, Selena is the reason a whole lot of his dedicated fans jumped ship. His tea should have held out on the girlfriend bit because his fanbase was NOT ready for that. The Jelena World Tour definitely went WAY overboard, and now JUSTIN and HIS CAREER are going to pay for it. Sad.

well, if you will just kindly scroll up, you will see i answered your inquiries about boyfriend. MOST singles chart at the rate of what makes you beautiful... as in, they slowly climb the and linger up there for a while. the fact that 1d keep rising each week indicates that each week their song is getting more and more play and being purchased more as well.

sooo, that means 1d are growing their fanbase, while bieber is remaining a bit more stagnant. probably because boyfriend is simply not great enough to garner him the new fanbase that he anticipated.

Im sorry, i just dont care or like boy bands, never have, never will.. Its nothing against them personally! I prefer to listen to a solo artist, than listen to 5 guys who need eachother to make themselves sound better.. If they were good enough on their own, why couldnt they do it on their own then.. And dont take that as me bashing them. i have heard them sing, im not going to say they are terrible, they just arent my cup of tea!!

boyfriend is almost platinum. you cant say it was all fans buying it -.- i its had more longevity on itunes than other singles of his and if it stays on billboard for a long time it doesn't even matter what position it is. selena's love you like a love song went double platinum and it never reached top 10.
