they need someone who knows about music, he is really talented, great song writer, plays instrument, a lot of experience in the business, and he is really smart and well spoken, he is also kinda sarcastic sometimes, no one better than him

Miley is irrelevant these days and never had any true musical talent anyways. Nick writes his own music and produces for others, and even though he's not as popular as he was he has a hell of a lot more knowledge about music than Miley ever will. The music she sells is just for money - she's even said before that the kind of music she makes is not really her 'style'. If she can't be true with her own music how can you expect her to be true with anyone else's??

I think everyone is forgetting one thing...the tweet says being considered. Which means he doesn't have the job yet and things could always fall through just as easily as they could come together.

I'm sure they care about the money over talent. I promise you Nick wouldn't have ever been considered if he wouldn't draw in somewhat of an audience. I like Nick, I've been a Jonas fan for years. But I've also watched Idol since it started, and someone would be crazy to ignore the fact that the show has almost run its course. Rating declines, etc. They're trying to get their ratings back up again.

I think Nick is really talented but i wouldnt call him a 'genius' cause he started to make music since he was young cause most of singers start that young..

I like them both, but I do think Miley would have brought a lot more ratings than him. I don't really think it's anything she's wanted to do though, she was considered for X Factor, and now American Idol. If she really wanted it, she probably would have gotten it. I like them all so I don't really think I don't dislike any of them as judges. But that isn't necessarily true really...why did JLo and Steven leave? Because they wanted to go back to music and do other things, of course. Judging takes a lot of time out of other things, it isn't for everyone. Since Miley has an upcoming album, I could see how it would be possible that she really wouldn't be interested in a judging position. AI has always been a 2 guy/1 girl panel except for when they had 4 judges, so with a girl position already filled they probably wouldn't have gone for another female anyway.

Not really, after HM her movie made like 100 mil. The last song dvd was #1 for weeks. CBT (last time i cheacked was like 200,000 copies away from a double platinium certification worldwide). CBT and WILAT went gold. The gipsy heart tour was #2 at billboard tour charts.. She filmed 2 movies and one of them went #1 with zero promo on dvd sales..

LOL was pretty much exactly like the French version. It could have had somewhat of success on wide release...Miley, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene...those aren't small names. Lionsgate just didn't care to promote it, nor were the stars allowed interviews. LG waited for like a year and a half until they had to release it by contract. Of course a movie that no one even hears about and is only in 100 theaters is going to flop.
