All I can think about is how much of a fucking asshole Nick Jonas was in the first episode.

Like, how does he rationalize that he has the right to tell Kevin and Danielle when to have a baby.

It's not like his career depends on Kevin. He can always be a successful solo artist.

They made Nick seem like an asshole. Joe seemed like he stays out of stuff. I felt so bad for Kevin...eh But I mean, TV shows like that...they like to make things seem dramafied so they can build viewers.

Has anyone suggested that this song might have been inspired by the Woody Allen movie "Midnight in Paris" which apparently Nick loved yet?

When you look at the lyrics you can see Nick does listen to Kevin sometimes. Kevin suggested changing the line to poetry that she breathed, and you can see they changed it. But Nick was probably ignoring Kevin's other suggestion because they were on a different part of the song by then (Nick was working on the kings and queens line at that time) and Kevin kept repeating the same suggestion that he had made earlier about adding a word.

That mini-fight Dani and Kevin had in the bedroom seemed sooo staged and scripted. There was a point where Kevin even cut off his words too early and Danielle didn't talk over him in time so it looked ridiculous. Fake show. Nick IS direct and logical, but I don't think anyone is this much of an asshole in real life. Don't believe what you see.

the parents, meaning mama and papa j are the managers of the jonas brothers band. they should be the ones to talk to kevin and danielle about having children. not 19-year old nick who doesn't know shit... danielle and kevin are both older than him and so it just makes sense for him to keep him mouth shut on that issue

But he was right though. Their decision when to have a baby also has an effect on Joe and Nick's careers. For example, they might each get offered career opportunities on their own that they pass up because they think they will be on a Jonas Brothers tour, only to find out Dani got pregnant and the band is taking a break from touring. So they would have been able to take those job offers but they didn't.

Nick wasn't telling them when to or when not to have a baby, he was just asking if the discussion about it becomes serious and they actually start trying to get pregnant to please let the rest of the band know so that they can have time to figure out how to work around it.

Mr & Mrs Jonas were more rude about it IMO. Mr Jonas basically telling him "get back to work" and Mrs Jonas telling them the same but with the added bit about taking Nick on tour as a baby to make Dani feel like her wanting to raise her baby at home is going to cause a problem.

As much as I dislike that stick and her stupid family,it was Kevin and his(Except Joseph)that were the bigger ASSES here!

Nick was laughing afterwards.Nick is just a serious guy,when he is focused on working.You can't judge him,by watching few minutes of a video.Maybe they were in the studio for along time,and were tired.Why you so quick to judge?

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW SONG! First off loved the show! Kevin and his dirty mind was cracking me up! I also love Dani she is awesome! Also lol at mama j she is interesting and also seems a bit paranoid with the whole salmonella thing! I also don't think Nick is like that all the time! We all have our off days and can be jerks sometimes Nick is human so he is no exception! Also he is the type of person who is really passionate and focused sometimes I can be so focused on something someone could be talking to me and I won't even hear them so they have to bring it to me later when I will be listening! Another thing is did I feel like the whole talking about planning their baby at dinner with his whole family was intrusive! But I also understand I think there could've been much better ways going about it, but as time draws nearer for the release of the album they have to know what they want to do! Nick is the type of person who is very straight foreword and sometimes needs to learn how to word things better so that it doesn't come across as douchey! I just think the whole baby thing should've been a private conversation not a dinner conversation and I know it's business but they are also your family so you should treat them like family and not clients! But that mostly goes for mama j and papa j! That whole dinner scene made me feel so uncomfortable! I just want to give Dani a hug after that! Besides I think it's their choice and no one should pressure them into it, when the time is right it will happen! Like Nick said "if you were pregnant we would have to get creative!" and as a fan I would completely understand if they had to postpone a tour because Kevin needed to stay with Dani!

And honestly, I don't see how Nick was being an asshole just because he and his father told Kevin to think about his career. Honestly, Kevin's career is going to be what helps that baby have a good life because we all know that Danielle just sits on her ass all day and does nothing.

So Nick wasn't being an ass. He's just making sure Kevin's has the money to take care of a kid. He may be rich, but he hasn't really done much in the sense of 'work' in the past three years, so he may have money from being the Jonas brothers, but that money can run out.
