i was just disappointed with the backing track not matching up... i mean i get WHY they used one - a lot of performers do for such an important performance - but they are so SO much better than that performance.

lol at you comparing them with the who and queen(or part of queen). this people has trayectory, one direction is at the beginning of their carreers and yet they are invited to big events. It was kinda obvious they were going to be at the beginning of the show, but this is still a big thing considering how young and new they are in the bussiness

They were there to draw in kids to watch. The end. They definitely weren't asked because they are "good". They didn't even sing live. They were like the only ones. Sorry but they're never going to be legends and in 15 years they will be forgotten.

Sorry. No other act used a backing track then. They new they sucked so much that needed help from a pre-recording. The song is NOT that difficult to sing live. And there's 5 of them. For God sakes they could of done it completely live if they could sing.
