She has this idea of growing up is being comfortable with sexuallity. It's not really her fault tho. Most of celebrities when they change their image to something edgy they use sexuallity like for example others disney girls like her, Lindsay Lohan, Hillary Duff, Demi lovato even Selena Gomez, they all did the same.
I do think trying new things, styles, clothes etc. it's part from the growing up process. She's not really an adult yet. And she'll become a young adult soon, it think it's better she ejoys her youth like she wants it now, that when she's 30 she regrets doing anything that she wanted and do it at that time. If you wake up in the morning and get dressed for other people at 19 years old, that's you. A part of growing up is taking responsibility for yourself as well. Miley owns her own home, car, and community service organization. She has a stable income (understatement) and she spends every day living her dream, while standing up for what she believes in. Additionally, she has her own personal style, and that IS something for people to look up to. But it doesn't give a LARGE portion of the world the reason to look up to her. I am not a hater and in fact, I do applaud how much she has achieved in such a young age.
