I think that people are meaning to say that Ashley just doesn't know how to be single. I don't think that they mean to call her a slut or whore they just weren't sure how to say "this girl does not know how to be single."
She really hasn't had that many boyfriends. The first boyfriend we saw her with was the backup dancer from HSM, then Scott, and that guy from Boys like girls. And whoever this guy is. Thats been in the span of like 6+ years so...

I agree with the comments above saying that she hasn't had a lot of boyfriends. However, she is always in a relationship so it seems that she has had many. In fact she seems to go from one relationship to another. She isn't single for too long.
