Selena Gomez 'Drinking' In New Movie
After Selena Gomez completes her tour in South America in three weeks she'll go to Florida to shoot indie filmmaker Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers with James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Emma Roberts, reports E! Onilne.
They play friends who rob a bank to pay for their spring-break vacation. Selena takes on the part of Faith: 'She's the little more tamed down character but also still gets a little crazy here and there. She goes on spring break with her..
..girlfriends and they end up getting into a whole mess of things. They're partying and drinking. We end up in jail.' Selena said a part of her plan is to take a break from music to focus on her acting career: 'I'm nervous. It's a little edgy, but it's fun. I fought for that role. I flew to Nashville and told him I want be a part of it.'

the thing is, her character was very pitiful and pouty (at least in the beginning). I think Miley did well, especially at the funeral scene. her most natural moments came when she was with Liam though, which makes sense, seeing as how close they got. they were the best.

I think that was initially Disney's plan, but they scrapped the idea since they realized that it might not work since Miley already had a fanbase or it could also be rumours because the media were confused about the whole thing. When Miley did some videos dissing and counterattacking Selena and Demi, she had actually created some controversy which made Selena to become more recognized. That's where the competition between Miley and Selena started. Selena started singing and also got recognized with her song "Naturally" in 2009 and her song "A Year Without Rain" in 2010. She won awards for best actresses in between these time periods. I still can't understand why people still say that Selena got famous because of Justin Bieber. Selena dated Nick because they were both in Disney. Taylor Lautner was in Vancouver when they first met. Selena didn't even know anything about Twilight when she met him. Both of these guys went after her. If a cute guy pursue you whether they are popular or not, would you date him? What Selena did are logical and very sensible. Why are people still saying that she was only dating the "IT" boy? She probably did date other boys, but were never mentioned because they were not that popular. In most cases, when you talk about profit, it would be minus all expenses. In this case, the profit is under Dream Out Loud. It would be divided among the partners. Selena is probably not stupid enough to put in so much effort to just slap her name on the labels. Everything still goes through her approval, the designers work with her. Selena says so herself. I think, the least she'll get will be 30% out of the 100M. If she has more money at stakes, she'll get more. The designers who partner with her, I believe still get paid with an annual salary in addition to the % profits they are earning. This is still higher on overall earnings she's supposedly get which is more than the 4M as stated; by the way her income as stated by Forbes last year is not 4M, it's 5.5M.
Selena hired The Scene and created the band, they are being paid by her company. The company could have gotten a sub-contractor to do the accounting works, but income still has to be based on earnings from her company. They are not part-timers who only get paid when she is busy on her tours. I would think that they have an annual income regardless of what the outcome of her tour is. They are still being paid--if they are not that busy--or they would have left her long time ago. Selena doesn't really need to have a band, but it gives her the comfort zone she needs, and for her it is worth paying more.
